Thanks for saving me the leg work. It's amazing what this woman has said in public forums across the country about Jews, Israel, and America - not Bush, not "the government" but the country of America.
I am not a believer in conspiracies so I pooh pooh the idea that there is any coordinated cover up by the press. But at the same time, here is absolute proof that there exists a groupthink in the press about this woman that she must indeed be protected, that her off the wall politics be hidden from the majority of Americans, and that her friends at The Crawford Peace House, Moveon, Codepink, and Truthout.com are manipulating her celebrity for their own reasons.

Thanks for the correction. You're right of course. The web page is reminiscent of the Independent.
As for them uttering nonsense, this kind of story gets vetted pretty carefully by senior editors. My guess would be that at the very least, whoever is leaking this story actually believes what they're saying and is not spreading disinformation.

If commenters would generally be as civil as you, I would have no problem at all.
The fact is 99% of the lefty commenters that come here are trolls like Elizabeth - people who say so many outrageously stupid things that it becomes tiresome trying to answer them.
By stupid I mean how can you "discuss" something that is not in the post? Or like Elizabeth:
Did George W. Bush give away the nuclear cookie jar to India? And did he do it because he is desperate for positive headlines no matter what the consequences?
That is so far beyond the pale as to be in the next state. That kind of Bush Derangement Sydrome I realized long ago is meant simply to get a rise out me and others so I give them what they want and if they persist, ban their asses. They are not serious people.
There are many liberals who come here and behave themselves and we've had quite spirited discussions about a host of issues. But I will not abide trolls.

The only point I was making has been born out by the facts; that the media exaggerated the violence following the destruction of the Shrine. Did you miss that? I don't see any comment from you on the thrust of the post so I must assume you can't read which means I'm wasting my time responding to you.

The man was acquitted after showing the video tape frame by frame, thus being able to take each movement by the victim and turn it into something that wasn't. A victim's rights advocate quoted in the Chicagot Trib story:
"We're down to those same stereotypes--she was drinking, she was asking for it," said Linda Healy, executive director of Mutual Ground, a suburban counseling program for sexual assault victims.
"We hold the standards that the victim, who is almost always a woman, is somehow supposed to prevent this from happening if it's something she didn't want," said Polly Poskin of the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
And if the guy was so all fired innocent, why did he flee the country?

Before the limo carrying Martha was hit by the missile, two men got out of it and began to fire. They were killed by the terrorists.
I too noticed no driver. Maybe I should go back and make sure that the car the dead agents got out of was indeed the limo with Martha in it.

A cursory glance (that would have taken about 30 seconds of your time) at many of my posts would show that I skewer Bush about any number of things here to the point that many conservatives will not visit this site anymore.

Um...no, we couldn't "easily say" that someone who predicted an Iraq civil war 2 freakin' years ago was right "all along."
In fact, we could much more easily say they were full of crap.
This may yet become a civil war. More likely the violence will peter out, the Sunnis will come back to the table...until the next well placed bomb brings the country to the brink again.
To recognize this kind of instability without going off half cocked and saying that "this is it" as far as the catalyst for a civil war is much more realistic.
