It may sound like I'm parsing to fine a point here but I have tried to place the entire controversy in a slightly different context than others.
The security concerns about foreign ownership are irrelevant to me. My opposition to the deal has always been based on a realization that this Administration has not gotten serious about a host of homeland security issues 4 years out from 9/11. Our airports are a seive. Our borders, worse. And we inspect 10% of the containers coming into the ports in this country.
This was poorly handled and it remains to be seen whether or not it was poorly vetted. Congressional hearings would focus attention on this subject which is what we need.
BTW - your second comment I agree with 100%. I'd love to see the moonbats heads explode over that one!
