BUCHANAN'S NEW BOOK: "PREPARE YE FOR THE END"

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Perhaps that will teach you to drink only pasturized milk.

THE TRIUMPH OF THE PARANOID LEFT

Bill:

The question was ambiguous in a way. If you believe that the administration had evidence that 9/11 was going to happen - date, time, targets, - and didn't do anything about it, you're a loon.

If you believe there were warnings that went unheeded, that's another story. The survey question probably reflected a combination of the two approaches.

Still - a poll last year showed nearly 40% actually believe Bush knew of the attack before it happened.

As far as "distrusting government" this has nothing to do with trust. It is ascribing the most evil of intentions to people - truly evil motivations.

People will throw freedom away in order to have someone save them from the threat.

LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE PILGRIMS

Lebowski:

See above. And my praise of the Pilgrims has to do with their overcoming enormous odds to succeed where weak, fat, lazy, assholes like you would have died in a week.

Your reading comprehension skills are that of a 5 year old.

How can the Native Americans even think that way, considering how well everything turned out for them.

And you missed my point (or more likely, didn't understand the idea) that it is ridiculous to believe that given the historical reality of human migration for the last 125,000 years, that indians would have remained all alone on the continent forever.

Jesus what a shallow, unthinking, ape.

Why is it some people can't take "Yes, I agree with you" for an answer?

As far as the joke about speaking Asian - sorry it went over your head. On its face, the statement is silly - which gives most people the clue that I was not serious in promoting either that or the idea of Asian colonization. I posited the notion only to highlight the insanity of the logical conclusion that should be drawn from "White people should not have come" which is the basic native American position.

MEMORIES OF A JOURNEY HOME

You misunderstand the intent and meaning of what I wrote.

Sometimes - choices are made for you. Such as when I have to be on the job at 5:00 AM tomorrow morning to do the job three entities are paying me for.Or in the past ten years before that when I couldn't afford it or, when I worked at the Pig, had to work on both Thanksgiving and the next day.

There was no criticism whatsoever either intended or implied of anyone. Rather I tried to impart a wistfulness about how things used to be. I am very happy so many were able to attend. In my case, I simply couldn't abandon my responsibilities.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A "HELL" OF A HOTEL

I've been to Reno about half a dozen times and the difference is night and day.

We love Reno - less crowded (even on weekends), great food at semi-reasonable prices, and everything is within walking distance (mostly).

Casinos aren't as good or as swanky - but they're okay.

Someone told me I should have stayed at the Bellagio. Next time...

FLOWERS ON A GRAVE WITH NO NAME

Kinda sad to think that there was nothing to look forward to for future generations but war.

Wha?

That may be the most idiotic statement ever left on this site.

Are you saying that the soldier's family were soothsayers? That they could divine the future?

I guess so since they had nothing "to look forward to" except war. Do you believe that the grandfather who may have fought in the revolution could see the day when his great, great grandson fought in the Spanish American war?

You're trying to make a very dumb point about America and war by attempting to show the frequency of conflict reflecting badly on our history.

Try again...

OFF TO VEGAS AND BLOGWORLD

Lorenzo:

Your anti Semitic comment was deleted. It would have been disallowed anyway because of your ignorance and incoherence. I couldn't have people reading your comment and thinking I had no standards about the level of intelligence of my readership.

What an embarrassment you are.

THE ORIGINS OF BUSH DERANGEMENT SYNDROME

You're right. Don't know what I was thinking there.

Thanks.
