MORE ON THE US ACCEPTING AN IRANIAN BOMB

Given that the Mad Mullahs will likely be in power when Iran becomes a nuclear-armed power, and that they see themselves as the ushers of the apocalypse that precedes the return of the 12th Imam, the question is not whether we'll have a general war in the Middle East, but when.

I don't think that an Iranian-instigated war will start when they get the first nuke. I think they'll build 20-50, then start tossing them around.

DOES THE WORLD LOVE US ANY MORE WITH OBAMA AS PRESIDENT?

Obama, like any freshly-minted Third-World leftist leader, seems to think that all it takes to flip-flop the order of friends and enemies are a few words and a bow or two. The bad news is that we're not (yet) the Third World, offering a marginal advantage for whichever of the competing "pillars" of the First World we try to woo. We are, for better and worse, the last "pillar" standing.

Given that the goal of those Obama is wooing is the utter destruction of that "pillar", it is not surprising that they are laughing while plotting to finish off the "pillar". Neither is it surprising that those a bit closer to being devoured by some of those entities are dropping off the "friends" list.

MY TOP TEN FAVORITE MOVIE FIGHT SCENES OF ALL TIME

Hate to have to correct you, but Bolo and Bruce did not meet in "Enter the Dragon". John Saxon fought Bolo, while Bruce fought Robert Wall (O'Hara).

For my money, I have to go with Lee vs. Chuck Norris from "Way of the Dragon".

NOT SOCIALISM: GANGSTERISM

So much rich reading material, so little space in the comments to work with. First, I must quibble with what to call it - it is actually both socialism and gangsterism. The older and wiser among us see more than a passing similarity to Cuban-flavored Communism, enforced at brute force.

It's clear we're being hung separately, yet the powers-that-be are busy scrambling for the "who gets eaten last" honor. As one of the dwindling number of broad-based conservatives, it is distressing.

Thanks for pointing out the difference between the inch Bush took and the mile (or is it light-year?) Obama's taking.

CAGE MATCH: CRIST vs. RUBIO

Florida is not a left-of-center state. Essentially the only way either Rubio or Crist loses is if the supporters of the other stay home (or actively supports the Democrat).

That makes the NRSCC move maddening. They have openly declared that conservatives need not apply to become Senators.

DEMOCRATIC PARTY PARTISANS TO 'OUT' GAY REPUBLICANS

Where's the line? At 110% fealty to the Leftist cause, where it has been for the Left the last 40 years.

WHY DO CONSERVATIVES SEE RED WHEN OBAMA TALKS GREEN?

Funny man, I'm sure you're aware that the Soviets had a hand in several "environmental" groups and parties. The fact that the Communists have been the worst polluters just illustrates the difference between "conservationalists" and "environmentalists".

Why do we see red in "green"? Because we see the modern "environmental" movement as little more than the extension of Soviet Communism that it started out as. Of course, those under a certain age (i.e. those younger than I am) have no clue what Soviet Communism was.

Sal captured my thoughts better than I can express them, but I do need to expand a bit on that. A private decision to follow the "conservationist 3 R's" (reduce/reuse/recycle) is a good one for its own sake and for the sake of not depending on foreign despots. Mandates from above, especially in the name of a new state "religion", tend to get a visceral negative reaction.

As for carbon, you really should see the work done by Dr. Willie Soon. Carbon dioxide actually tends to be a lagging indicator, while solar radiation is a leading one.

ALZHEIMER'S: THE PERSONAL IS POLITICAL

Here's hoping the entire Moran family beats the odds and none of you get Alzheimers. As for what licks diseases, a strong R&D pharmaceutical industry does a lot better than just political will.
