The White House, after initially saying that President Obama was too busy with overhauling the health insurance system to commit to going to Copenhagen to push for Chicago’s 2016 Olympic bid, now says that he “absolutely” might go.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters aboard Mr. Obama’s flight to Pittsburgh from New York on Thursday that an advance team has departed the United States for Copenhagen “to preserve the option for the President to visit Copenhagen and lend his voice to America’s bid for the 2016 Olympics.” But, he added, no final decisions have been made.
Administration officials said privately that Mr. Obama could go if he thought that his presence would tip the favor for Chicago.
Mr. Gibbs said that First Lady Michelle Obama will be in Copenhagen to push for Chicago, whether Mr. Obama goes or not.
The trip, if it happens, would be next Friday, and would likely be a quick in-and-out trip, administration officials said
Obama serves the Machine first and leftist ideology second. America doesn't come in the top ten.

Eleven of Rezko's UNLIVABLE buildings (built using $100 MILLION in sweetheart deals from the government - YEAH: THIS IS BIGGER BADDER AND WORSE THAN WHITEWATER!) were in Barack Hussein Obama Junior's OWN DISTRICT.
And Rezko was represented by the law-firm where Obama worked.
And Rezko was one of Obama's BIGGEST fundraisers for many years.
And Rezko enabled Obama to buy his mansion.
The relationship is deep and totally CORRUPT.
Just like Obama!

the chicago dailies have been covering this stopry from the start.
it hasn;t gotten a lot of traction because it's sort of like writing about gotti in ny: people know the story so well they shrug it off.
now that obama has a chance to win the nomination and even maybe the WH, people should pay more attention to just how corrupt he is. and always has been.
plus: he's a socialist who panders to arabs.
a bad combo for the nation, but perhaps a PERFECT rep for what the Dem party has become.

With all due respect, Rick:
this is a load of crap.
I googled for about an hour trying to find another image of any kenyan or somali man wearing that garb and found NONE.
the man instructing obama in the photo IS A MUSLIM. his name is prefaced by SHEIK. jeez.
the hat obama has on is a turban - which is NOT african in origin.
his sheik buddy is also wearing a traditional MUSLIM hat.
i am NOT saying obama is NOW a Muslim, but it should be pointed out he is half Kenyan and half American and the Kenyan half is Muslim.
Obama has NOTHING in common with black African-Americans except some degree of skin pigmentation.
His forbears has less to do with the civil rights movement than mine, and never suffered under Jim Crow and were never slaves.
This reveals that Obama's biggest accomplishment to date has been convincing/conning black African-Americans into believing he's one of them.
HE MOST CERTAINLY IS NOT.
And this photo points that out as much as anything I have seen.
Which is why Obama doesn't want it out there.
I STAND BY MY CHARACTERIZATION OF THE PHOTO.
Somali or not, the garb is Muslim - like MOST of Somalia.
It's true.
Now deal with it.

after we were attacked on 9/11 fred left the us senate.
he abandoned his post at a time of war.
when we needed him in the senate.
the next four years he didn't do as much as you and the blogosphere.
he got in the race only because the filed sucked.
it still sucks with him in it.
but his lack of management experience and his disappearing act in 2002 make me unable to sup[port him in the primaries.
