Who knows and who cares? The thing is would anyone with an ounce of sense buy a car that will be guaranteed and serviced by the government??? Yeah because we know how well any government agency services the public...nightmares of long lines and employee attitudes like the DMV come to mind. There is no way I would ever consider GM or Chrisler for a new car. If I want American, I'll get a Ford - and if not, can you say Toyota?

I've been hearing the Dems saying this over and over like a mantra but, funny, the only Democrat I can remember running on a platform of ending the war lost to the independent pro-war candidate. How could people have elected them to end the war when they were too gutless to run on it?

I think she could have picked a harder subject to poke fun at. This was to easy. Post 214 had a good line ( he or she said) I have seen those widows on TV and they were always spouting a liberal point of view ( anti bush) Well seeing how most of the widows husbands were firefighters and they are typically people who care for others sometimes more than themselves ( you know liberals ) not selfish self centered people like Anne. I can see that they would be anti-bush. I also love how a generalization of millions is done on the actions of what 5 or 6.

Interesting. The Times notes that President of Iran has a highly suspect and thuggish backround, but you choose to focus on the word "landslide."
Ever stop to think that maybe the right in Iran used Bush in pretty much the same political way that Karl "Leatherboy" Rove uses Osama bin Laden and 9-11 here in the U.S.? As a scare tactic to move the electorate to the radical right?

What do you say we discuss something a little more reality based, shall we? How about we talk about the lousy reaction the troops gave the so-called president the other night during his same old shit Iraq speech? They generally looked like they were downwind to a dead fish. AP is reporting the White House planned for a 40 minute speech, but Bush ended up taking only 22 of them. Seems his handlers figured they'd need to reserve 18 minutes for applause and general acclaim from the assembled military men and women.
Only thing is, the troops just weren't all that excited about the lying punk and his rehashed bullshit.
