They'd have made more progress if Jeb Stuart had come in like he was supposed to. Fortunately, the Union intercepted his horses about three miles northeast of Cemetery Ridge, and at the end of the day he wasn't a threat any longer.
And, Christ, did you hear about the massacre going on at Culp's Hill? ...I hope neither side has to fight another battle the size of this one. There MUST be a better means of waging war.
