NO, AMERICA -- YOU CAN'T KEEP THE HEALTH INSURANCE YOU HAVE NOW

Just left a post above declining to donate to you because you lie about health care reform. Then I scroll down and see an out and out lie.

You are slime buddy. Slime.

Your post is a lie.

A lie? You are incapable of identifying anything as a lie as it relates to the health care bill because you have never had one single independent thought in your entire life - your brain is hard wired with Democratic party talking points. I doubt you could understand the bill - perhaps you can't even read it.

As for your telling me that you are not going to donate, isn't that a little childish? I mean, not juvenile - more like the actions of a two year old? You couldn't afford to give me anything anyway because they don't pay more than minimum wage at that mentally handicapped workshop you're employed at and you need all your money to pay for that child porn you download from the net.

ed.

I'M A LIAR - BUT DON'T HOLD THAT AGAINST ME

All I am willing to do is wish you luck.

You publish too many falsehoods for me to donate.

And the health care lies really piss me off as my family is in the pre existing condition category.

But I'll make you a deal. Publish the truth about heath care reform and I'll gladly donate.

A FEW WORDS ON THE EFFICACY OF CHANGING ONE'S MIND

Nagarajan Sivakumar Said:
6:37 pm

"You have to ask yourself this question - did you support the Bush Admn deficits ? If no, then why are you defending Obama’s deficits - just as you accuse the Tea Party movement of being partisan, are’nt you being partisan as well?"

No, I didn't support the Bush deficits and yes I do support the Obama deficits.

Obama's spending is to prevent economic catastrophe. Bush's spending to invade and occpuy a country that was no threat to us.

"Is this the “change” you all “believed” in ? The argument that there was “no other choice” but to ramp up Government spending by monstrous levels shows an intellectual laziness and rank ignorance about fundamental economics."

Yeah. It's pretty much the "change" I expected though I felt the stimulus wasn't enough and I wish he'd fight harder for a single payer health care system.

"How is that “no other choice but the giant boondoggle of a stimulus” working out ?"

Fair. And be patient. little of the stimulus money has been spent and we might need to increase the amount. You obviously don't grasp the magnitude of the ruin Bush and the GOP have brought down on us.

"Well, dont worry it does not even start to have any positive effects until 2010. But there’s already talk of a second stimulus !"

bingo.

"How do you over come debt ?"

Same way everyone in the history of the earth has. By increasing productivity.

Try thinking about it as a student loan.

So exactly what are the tea parties about.

Obama cut taxes so the TEA, Taxed Enough Already, is nonsense.

Doubling of the deficit? Where were the teabaggers when George Bush did the same damn thing in a period of growth. Obama's spending is a reaction to the worst economy since the depression. We had and have no choice.

You were right in your first position, Rick.

The teabaggers are a joke.

They are nothing more than "I hate Obama" rallies. The teabaggers need to quit whining about losing an election and just once try to offer constructive ideas.

MICHAEL JACKSON, WORLD FAMOUS PEDOPHILE, DEAD AT 50

Snarkydoodle,

Just did and it is excellent. Taibbi often nails it and he did again. Here it is if anyone else is interested.

I'm not convinced MJ was a pedophile. As a matter of fact I don't believe he was a pedophile. Yet he clearly was a troubled man.

Matt Taibbi, a reporter I have utmost respect for, and one who spent considerable time with MJ, called him asexual.

Anyways, I am grateful for MJ's contributions to the world. He brought a lot of joy to me and my family.

If you guys want to go after pedophiles why don't you look up the Catholic Church. Lots of them there. And the church is covering for them.

CUSTER'S BAD REP DESERVED -- SORT OF

Northwestdoug and grognard,

Also "The Conquerors" about Pontiac's siege of Detroit is really good.

And St. Clair's defeat by Little Turtle happened not far from where I presently live. I have visited the site several times (Fort Recovery, Ohio).

And you are right about St. Clair's defeat. Something like the worst military disaster in U.S. history.

Anyways, the Fort Recovery site is very cool and if you are ever close by I highly recommend. Lot's of cool artifacts. Especially of the native Americans.

And you are right. Cool blog entry. I'd like to see more like them. It's very refreshing to put politics aside for awhile.

Cheers.

"I also heartily recommend the works of Dan Eckert who writes extensively of the conflict between white and red civilizations during the Ohio River Valley period."

Glad to see another Eckert fan. (it's Allen by the way)

Both in "The Frontiersman" and "That Dark and Bloody River" have the most riveting description of a man being tortured to death (Colonel William Crawford) that I have ever read.

And by the way, there is a historical marker where the burning took place that I once visited. Fascinating, chilling, and horrific event.

If you like stuff like this, I do, you ought to take a read on Colonel William Crawford. (Battle of the Sandusky Plains) about 1782.

And the story of his very unfortunate demise will stick with you for a very long time.

Sorry no link but Allan Eckart has written on it extensively.

HEALTH CARE DEBATE IN CONGRESS: WHERE IS OBAMA?

"HEALTH CARE DEBATE IN CONGRESS: WHERE IS OBAMA?"

Interesting question. There are two schools of thought. One, that Obama should be hard selling now. Or two he should sit back a save his thunder for crunch time.

And I have no idea which is best and have heard very well thought out arguments for both strategies. But I will say this. Obama is smart and has been quite successful at getting things done.

I am leaving my trust in Obama. I believe he will choose the correct path.
