THERE IS ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, NO SUCH THING AS A 'CULT OF OBAMA'
i am 'diametrically' opposed to the view that he is 'good-looking' or even charismatic, based on not just my wifes opinion 'liberal' but many other females opinion of him, and many of them (women) do not, mind you, disagree with the curious george affiliation. what he has that mccain does not(or any other candidate for that matter) is age and marketing behind him. he has embraced whole heartedly the internet generation (who mind you, have no clue as to jimmy carter and his failures) they want someone who is like them, who they think they could drink a latte with, not to say that they are careless, they are insulated and ignorant, even in a time of war, or a stagnating economy. they care about themselves and feel that anyone who 'disses' GW is alright by them. these obamatards do not care that he has one iota of a resume, in fact the best aspect of his resume is that he has zero experience in politics. it is sickening to hear them and the MSM attack mccain, but it is also redundant, their only hook is that mccain is another 4 years of bush. which is a farce, there has been no other republican so critical of bush than mccain, but that doesn't matter to them nor do all the things mccain has done, what matters is that someone 'cool' and like them (ha) is elected, they cannot defend any of their accusations and when they begin to stumble their only defense is to get emotional, or to associate mccain with bush. all of which rick and the other blog warriors have been enlightening us of for months.

you nailed it! but me thinks obama doesn't have to respond, the media is responding for him. take msnbc today, they have been totally subjective (nothing objective about them) in defending obama, no substance, no objective story, just emotion. much like the mook that tried to attack you yesterday, all emotion no substance. this is the issue with charismatic leaders/movements, it seems people enjoy being told what to do (half of todays population) or how to do it, without having to think for themselves (much like my students). it is easily predictable then for you and i to know exactly who they will vote for (though admittedly this is how bush got in office and stayed in office). it all works in cycles same with climate change. one will do and another will undo, hard to undo supreme court justices though...

SNAFU... are we simply destined to repeat our follies over and over and over again. Every place we have went into to "help" the people, two great examples Somalia, Lebanon, and left when things got testy have turned into bastions of contempt for us, and rightly so. I loved Reagan, I am a Marine, but for the life of me, it was politics, piss poor planning, and lack of security that got my brothers killed there, that could have been fixed, easily. Now with Iraq and the regime change coming here soon, will we do the same thing we have done in the past, I will put money on it. All in the name of "change", yep economy took a hard hit and is coming back strong, and unemployment is at 5% life is soooo horrible, yes we can my arse.........

You will get no quarter here, life is based on choices we make, you are trying to equate a conscious/sober decision to TAKE HUMAN LIFE, and instill terror in the hearts of man with something like I got drunk and smoked pot or had sex with someone I wouldn't have if sober or even I joined an organization without clearly understanding what they supported. 2. so john mccain supports our troops and the idea of finishing what we started, exactly how many senators dissented on that vote? the fact of the matter is that he actually wants to finish something and finish it right so we don't have to try and do it AGAIN. but then again maybe that's just me.
