Maybe he has the opinion that the majority of Doctors actually think like this, likely because the majority of lawyers think like this. But the case he discusses, is a hypothetical case of malpractice, and as a physician (who took the Hippocratic Oath), I can say that cases like that are exceedingly rare to non-existent. Doctors do not think like lawyers, we are not in the business to make a buck, but to help people, while enjoying a rewarding career that is intellectually stimulating. These very comments convince me that the lobbyists feeding him his data are so biased that they have absolutely no insight into the real costs of medicine. The two biggest cost factors leading to skyrocketing costs are drug costs and excess tests. The drug costs will not go down because the pharmaceutical companies have the Obama admin. in their pockets. The excess tests are primarily (75% plus) due to defensive medicine (malpractice protection). With a refusal to address tort reform, Obama has shown that either he has absolutely no idea what the problem is, or is completely in the pockets of the trial lawyers. Since he is a smart guy, I can only conclude that he is well aware what the real problems are, and is intentionally misleading the public in his continuing efforts to forward his "spread the wealth" policies, while protecting the lawyers. In short, he is lying, with very significant implications. The AMA should demand an apology, and the ENT surgeons should be outraged."

the cat is out of the hat, and guess what, he is the cat we all thought he would be, except his teeth are a bit sharper, his claws a bit longer, and his meow is a roar. but much like the scorpion, obama's true nature cannot be hidden, he will fall along the road with ozymandias, any monster who uses force when their nation is down (there was a certain German that did that) will eventually meet their end, hopefully sooner than later.

wonderful piece rick, i wonder if your critics above have stayed but an evening in a "small" town, leastwise a week, a summer or even a season. more than likely they, much like the big city boys I was in Corps with, use their Urbanity as a separating line or something to lord over those who are less fortunate (make me laugh), to have not lived in the big city. mind you, of course I was from flyover country, nebraska, omaha that is (CBD of +500,000 then, even greater now) and i was asked if we still rode horses, and had problems with indian's. comes down to ignorance is all, oh well...
thanks for giving a shout out to the small towns rick, they are shrinking, their children are leaving, and their tax dollars are being sent to the big cities, thank you ADM, thank you Monsanto, thank you clarence thomas, anti-trust what is that. by the way y'all, chickens don't grow in the grocery store, and your arugula and wheat come from somewhere other than the magic trader joe's, me thinks it would be amazing to see how many of y'all city folk would up and die a week without refrigeration and municipal water.

Therein lies the ilk, you creamed the head of that nail, simply goes back to kindergarten, "that one is different than me, let's not play with him/her." Lack of empathy or should we say objectivity. Well put... I hope people are reading.
