IN FOR A PENNY, IN FOR A POUND: MORE EYOREISM ON BROWN
I, too, fear he may be a rino, afterall he is from MA (as am I). He is either a core rino, or will become one after exposure to DC politics.

I also agree that we have absolutely no idea what a conservative, or even a republican, is, anymore....it would be nice if they defined their terms.
I do have a bone to pick with you, however. For someone who decries having bad names hurled at them and meaningless attacks, just outpourings of rage, you certainly go in for quite a lot of that in the above column. When you start calling names, as you did, instead of arguing ideas, you have lost the argument.
ENOUGH WITH ALL OF THIS "OBAMA IS A MOOSLIM" CRAP
Poor Ricky's ridiculously poor arguments get shot down.

What a brilliant way to bring conservatives together. Name calling. Good luck with that.

Oh, and I'm sure calling conservatives loons won't help liberals. I'm also sure that ignoring this or sweeping it under the rug was not a better course of action. Geez, you are sooo smart!
With regards to the PJ Media column, can you really put "continuing the mission in Iraq" and "fiscal responsibility" in the same sentence? That would imply both can be accomplished concurrently. It is impossible to claim "fiscal responsibility" while we spend $120+ billion in Iraq annually and are running a $400+ billion budget deficit. The only way to achieve "fiscal responsibility" and maintain our presence in Iraq is to cut $400+ billion in domestic spending. What is the chance that is politically feasible?

FIRING IMUS FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS
This is hysterical. Imus is a liberal, giving hours and hours of free time to the empty suits you probably support...and he was getting decent ratings, much more so than talentless "air america"staff. Do you think msnbc/democrat party will benefit from this?

The only one benefiting here is Al Sharpton...a real vote getter for you dems......and all you had to do for this is stiffel free speech
btw, whats worse..uttering 3 offensive words or the tawana brawley affair...or drug dealers, violence, school dropouts, broken families, you know all the things that really affect minorities....
SENATE SUGGESTS TELLING THE JIHADIS WHEN WE'RE LEAVING
This is brilliant political strategy by the Democrats.
See, Bush doesn't believe that the Iraq war is winnable, he just doesn't want to own up to that facts and admit it. He wants the next President (who will most likely be a Democrat) to own his mess.
In either case (the bill passing or a Veto) the Democrats win and reafirm that Bush and the Republicans own this war. If the bill were to pass, the troops come home and its Bush's legacy of failure.
If Bush vetos the Bill, then he owns the war in toto, bad for the Republicans when we are still in Irag in 2008.
It's brilliant, that why Bush is so angry, its lose-lose for him.

As far as Reagan and lincoln being 'deists' well, there you go again!!
"Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience...without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure...If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."
I'm convinced more than ever that man finds liberation only
when he binds himself to God and commits himself to his fellow man.
-- Ronald Reagan"It behooves us then to humble ourselves before the offended Power to confess our national sins and to pray for clemency and forgiveness..."
“I am busily engaged in the study of the Bible. I believe it is God’s word because it finds me where I am.â€
“I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man. All the good of the Savior of the world is communicated to us through the Book.â€
"I am profitably engaged in reading the Bible. Take all of this Book upon reason that you can, and the balance by faith, and you will live and die a better man."

- Abraham Lincoln, 1863
it must have been quite a shock to find out that many of the democrats elected, like Webb, Casey were PRO-LIFE!! let the libertarians (lewrockwell.com) types go join the whacked out lib losers like Lamont! If the republicans are ashamed of us, and many of you 'country clubbers' are...then we'll vote for pro-life democrats...we're not wedded to a party. The republicans just found out what its like to ignore us. If it continues, then we'll take over the democratic party, and turn it into a pro-life party.

THE SLAUGHTER OF THE MODERATES
jaybo: rick can't debate you on the facts, all he has is hatred for social conservatives (christians)
I was SO GLAD to see those moderates LOSE!!! it made the election worthwhile! christians are going to vote for pro-life people of any party, we're not wedded to republicans, and as far as I'm concerned they can go back to their 'country club' days...as a permanent minority, since they're too 'proper' for us!!

CIA VS. THE WHITE HOUSE: THE LEAKER AND THE SQUEALER
while this poster was a bit exaggerated, and seemingly biased, he may have had a point here when suggesting: you have everything backwards.
an executive that relies upon a "trust me" defense of executive branch power, rather than the Constitution and the laws set up under that consitution, is in this instance acting more in common with a dictatorship or despot than a free democracy.
as far as perhaps well meaning, but backwards logic goes, consider this article
