LEARNING NEW THINGS CAN BE FUN
Of the 40 million uninsured maybe 10 million are undocumented. With Social Security going negative and the debit we have taken on cost containment is a major issue in this legislation. But talking about those and other issues requires thinking and that give me a headache. If I put on my tinfoil hat and shout about death panels and birth certificates I am in a much happier place. I like being in my happy place.

Don’t worry syn, I've got my tinfoil hat back on and am listening to Limbaugh. I feel much calmer now and am back in my happy place. Yes Darth Clinton was evil, very evil.

This is the movement of that great intellect Wm. F. Buckley? This is the counterweight to Liberalism? First birth certificates and now “death panels”? The Liberals have been handed the next election on a silver platter if this is what you get from the Conservative side. The sad thing is that even if the movement produced someone with the stature of Buckley they would get nowhere with people like Gary shouting them down.

VIOLENCE AT TOWN HALLS PREDICTABLE AND DISTURBING
What a great time to be a moderate and caught in the middle. You're right about the finger pointing, once the violence gets started nobody will care about the charges and counter charges, everyone will be out for blood and it will be the other side that is totally at fault. Will a couple of dead bodies cause people to pull away from the brink? Maybe, on the other hand things could quickly accelerate out of control. Like I said a long time ago Bin Laden was an idiot, if you really wanted to tear this country apart all you have have to do is kill a righty then a lefty and then watch the left and right go at it and do the dirty work for you.

Good God, this has been going on since Jefferson was accused of fathering black children when he was running for office. Politics is a nasty business, and that's a good thing. If Sara can't handle Letterman how will she stack up against Putin? Will she fall apart when Dear Leader makes some remark about her family? I want a leader that can walk on the hot coals of the media, left and right.

Everyone remembers Custer but St. Clair's defeat at the hands of Little Turtle in 1791 resulted in far more casualties, in fact we lost 25% of the entire US army! OK the army was not all that big but in percentage terms it was the greatest defeat our armed forces ever had.

When Bush was president the left could not give him credit for doing anything right, now its Obama's turn. Further proof that the two sides are more alike than they would care to admit. When the crackdown in Iran begins the Guardian Council will be looking for any statement by Obama as “proof” that the US was involved, so the less Obama says the better. Most Iranians were born after the revolution so there is a generational division here, not just a political one. The older generations idea that the evil US is plotting every action or event will be further discredited by the younger generation if we make the effort to show we are not involved. Eventually the younger generation will not only question the election but the power of the Guardian Council and the role of religion in Iranian politics. Regardless of events time is on our side and the days are numbered for the old guard in Iran.
