FOLEY MATTER PROVES REPUBLICANS SUPPORT PERVERTS

It was widely suspected in DC that Foley was homosexual.
As far as I can tell all Reynolds told Hastert aboust was the father innocuous emails sent to a 16 year old FORMER page who initiated the correspondence AND whose parents did not want to press the matter.

Hastert told Reynolds to look into it. Reynolds confronted Foley who claimed innocent intention and promised to cease this correspondence and any other private correspondence with pages.

There is NO EVIDENCE that the leadership knew anything more than the innocuous emails.

should read:

When did they get the IM’s? Why did they wait until now to release them? Is there any indication the Republicans who looked into THIS MATTER had any knowledge of their(the IM's) existence.

Pardon an old lady’s suspicions. I’ve seen this dance too many times before.

Reportedly the St Pete Times had the same information in August 2005 and wrote nothing about it either, apparently because the emails do not constitute illegal conduct, they are just creepy, and the boy's parents did not wish to pursue this.

The far more damaging IM messages were released by CREW , the same "public interest" group which is representing the Wilson/Plames in their laughable suit against Cheney, et al.

When did they get the IM's? Why did they wait until now to release them? Is there any indication the Republicans who looked into them had any knowledge of their existence.

Pardon an old lady's suspicions. I've seen this dance too many times before.

CLINTON VS FOX: THE FALLOUT

I'm with Glenn. I don't think this was a plus for the Dems.

I'm not with those who think this was planned. I think Clinton thought he'd get the usual softball interview--this one about his global initiative--and behaved just as one would expect someone with a narcissistic personality disorder who feels his legacy is shameful.

CIA VS. THE WHITE HOUSE: THE CHICKENS COME HOME TO ROOST

What an interesting post, Dale.
At the same time, we had Sheuer and Pillar, etc. claiming terrorism was no threat to us.And not noticing that Pakistan had nuclear weapons and Libya was about to have them.

Good thing DoD still has its own intel operation.

FRANCE SURRENDERS: ISRAEL TO FIGHT ON

Frankly, I think Bolton finessed the French. We wanted to give Israel more time and so agreed with the French knowing they'd weasel out. Now that they have there is no plausible alternative to top the war.

Add to this the Hezbollah's propaganda repllay at Qana is not working and its handmaidens in the media are being exposed by the minute.

BTW the UN is certainly suffering its final blows in this--I'd work night and day for the first candidate with the wit to say it's time to cease membership in this idiot , corrupt operation. It must be replaced by a handful of militarily able, financially sound, democratic nations.

Maybe it's a feint, but if it isn't, it isn't that new:Colin Powell did it every day.(And apparently Wilkerson and Armitage as well.)

Do you suppose there's a big "suck your brains out" machine located in the offices of the Secretary of State?

I am tols that as head of the NSC it is she who overruled DoD plans to have Garner turn over civil Administration of Iraq quickly to the Iraqis in favor of the Bremer pro consulate which was the biggest disaster of the post-war period in Iraq.

Maybe the President, despite his affection for Rice, sees it that way, too.

Great piece, and I'm a loyal Badger.

In one sense it's even worse:This nutter is a TA without tenure so there is none of the usual impediments to quick removal.
