WHO'S TO BLAME FOR HIGH GAS PRICES? LOOK IN THE MIRROR, AMERICA

To blame Americans for the actions of special interest lobbies, misguided politicians and zealots is really, really laughable. Most Americans disagree with Roe vs Wade yet it stands. Most Americans supported the death penalty yet for a period the death penalty was ruled verboten. Do you actually believe that most Americans support the Supreme Court's Gitmo decision?

Americans have little ability to influence many factors because of the corrupting influence of money, special interest groups and above all self serving politicians.

No politician should serve more than four years. We wouldn't be in this fix if we didn't have a professional political class devoted to their own self interests rather than doing whats best for the country.

THE ROAD TO 270

Virginia is as likely to vote for Snobama as New Jersey is going to cross over for McCain.

This election will be a rehash of 1972. An unpopular Republican wins a landslide over a delusional Marxist.

A LITTLE ALTERNATE HISTORY: 'HOPKINS SLAMS FDR IN NEW BOOK'

Some hits and some misses. The US wanted an early invasion of France, something that the Nazis probably would have defeated in 1943. FDR could have saved Bataan? With the fleet at the bottom of Pearl Harbor not likely.

On the other hand the public never knew the extent of the losses at Pearl, look at the papers of the period to see what they knew. FDR vindictive, well thats spot on. Mistress, maybe the news media didn't wish to admit it but of course this was true.

Alternate history no just a different perspective from someone with an ax to grind and since Hopkins was a communist agent, possibly with an agenda that Moscow wished to foist on the public.

WHAT AILS CONSERVATISM?

Packer's braying is so old hat. But your contentions that ideas are stale don't pass the laugh test. Do you believe the principles espoused by the Declareation of Independence are stale? Perhaps the arguments found in the Federalist Papers are just old hat too?

We need CHANGE! Fresh Ideas like:
BIGGER GOVERNMENT
MORE TAXES
MORE BUREAUCRATS
LOVE
MORE TAXES

And more idiots to tell us whats wrong with Kansas.

And I though Snobama was the only one who could see the dead.

HILLARY: SHOULD SHE STAY OR SHOULD SHE GO?

Hannity's analysis is probably based on advise of the Hildabeast's staff. Given Snobama's history who can doubt that new scandals are just waiting to appear?

I have little doubt that the Hildabeast's staff uncovered the Wright evidence. Who knows what else they will have uncovered?

More to the point is what white politician could survive the hits Snobama has taken? The only thing I can hope for is that he'll choose the Hildabeast as VP or better yet how about that great patriot, Wright!

PARTY LIKE IT'S 1980 ALL OVER AGAIN

I hope Snobama wins. Four years of his mismanagement will make Jimmy Carter look adroit. Perhaps the GOP can purge the RINOs.

Have to agree with you about Iraq. Just imagine how great the world would be if Saddam were still here. I mean didn't Jimmy Carter follow your advice regarding Iran and look how well Iran has turned out.

The only thing we should have done is laid waste to the entire area and let their fellow Arabs rebuild it instead of doing our uncle sap act again.

THE "PATRIOTISM" ISSUE REARS ITS UGLY HEAD

As a Supreme Court justice said he could discern pornography when he saw it. I think most people know what patriotism is and what latte sipping "patriotism is.

Its the difference between those who live their faiths and those who profess to believe in God and then shaft their neighbors, bear false witness and cheat the poor.

Obama patriotic? Sure doesn't everyone hang out with communists and terrorists?

HESTON ALMOST TOO BIG FOR THE BIG SCREEN

Heston made more truly memorable films than most of his peers. Epic will always be associated with his name. Perhaps his ability to convince you in his roles steemed from his honesty and integrity that he brought with him to his films. Characteristics the Left will never value or understand.

AMERICA'S SHAME

I wonder why you use the term torture so casually. Do the individuals subjected to it suffer major physical impairment leaving them crippled? Does it leave lasting scars? Does it leave them lame and halt?

Is it worse than members of our armed forces are subjected to? Is it worse than having to sit through an Osama speech justifying Wright's sermons?

I am unaware that the UN and its minions ruled the US or were taken seriously anywhere in the civilized world. Perhaps our opponents of all stripes haven't noticed the UN dictates. I for one believe the US has made a major mistake in not enforcing the Geneva Accords regulations regarding those who are illegal combatants. Under Article IV treatment far worse than torture is authorized. Of course perhaps Mr. Moran would rather we summarily execute these beasts. I know I would-after they are thoroughly questioned.

major physical impairment

You're absolutely right. It only hurts a little so it's okay.

CAN WE JUST WALK AWAY FROM IRAQ?

Prior to May 1940 no one would have bet on a German vctory in the West considering the vaunted French Army and the combined armies of the West. After June this changed. Happily Churchill wasn't by Mr. Moran's definition a sane individual whose beliefs were determined by every stiff breeze. Had he subscribed to such a philosophy no sane individual fighting alone against the might of the Nazis would have turned down the Nazi peace offer and risked fighting alone against overwhelming odds.

Fortunately, history demonstrates time after time that free men fighting for a just cause will triumph. It does require stout men and men who have clear visions and are not plagued with self doubts. Hopefully we will have more Churchills and fewer individuals who revise their views due to the change in fortunes or the direction of the wind.
