CONSERVATIVE COLUMNIST ASKS PALIN TO WITHDRAW

I'm a Palin fan, but I admit - she doesn't know how to answer these dumb stump questions the media throws at her. You can't let them see you sweat. So, she needs a new strategy. I think it would be so entertaining to see what would happen if she prefaced each remark with something like, "Well, I'm no community organizer, but this is what I believe..." or "Last time I checked we had 50 states, not 57, and those 50 states want a President who can lead, and this is what a McCain/Palin administration would do..."

Hey, if you're the underdog already, you might as well go out with guns blazing! Give 'em hell Sarah!

But, you're right Rick. Eventually she will learn the Washington art of not answering a question while still appearing totally in command. No doubt in 4 years they will be criticizing her for that instead of her flustered answers of today.

THE McCAIN GAMBIT

I think many admire McCain's leadership here. Instead of just talking about the problem, he went to go help. Of course it was somewhat of a political stunt - but sometimes that's what leaders have to do, do something out of the ordinary to rally people behind him and inspire , them. I also think it is important for people to see that all Obama has done here is talk. Obama has nothing to lose here. If he doesn't get his hands dirty with helping out, he can criticize the solution if it goes awry, or praise the Democrats if it goes well.

So the contrast with Obama (blubbering "If you need me, call me") was clear, but I am not sure yet if not going to the debate will help McCain. I for one am envisioning Obama alone with liberal ABC reporters on Friday night... with no one to challenge Obama's answers, think how this could go! It will be like a Hail to Obama ceremony, with him and the reporter congratulating themselves on their intelligent progressive ideologies. I hope McCain can go back to the debate in order to set a few things straight.

WRONG WAY OBAMA STRIKES AGAIN

I haven't read a peep about this McCain e-mail ad goof-up and now I see why. How embarrassing! Have they ever heard of using Google?

But, despite their naive mistakes, I still get the sense that they are trying to mimick what they would call a "Rove style campaign". I think they are just trying to throw around as many accusations as they can with the hope that 1 or 2 stick. So much for a new kind of politics. (But I don't think anyone on the left cares at this point--they want to WIN at any cost!)

Anyway, the election is weeks away. A lot can happen in a couple of weeks. It's just going to get worse!

I PREFER THE 'PROM DRESS' ANALOGY MYSELF

Obama is so entertaining! He sure knows how to attract those female voters back to the Obama camp with charming comments like this, doesn't he? LOL.

I'm thinking maybe a left-wing campaign staffer of his thought this line would be a good anecdote to Palin's popular pitbull/hockeymom line, and Obama just went along with it and delivered it in his speech, like a sheep to the slaughter. I couldn't imagine Obama thinking of a subtle savvy attack plan against a hockey mom himself (much less a rogue terrorist nation). You have to wonder how naive do you have to be to think that a line like this would be a good idea? everyday he does or says something that shows how naive he is. His comments don't end here however. Just look at how many times he's changed his mind on issues, and changed his positions once he realized most people thought it reflected how naive he was (case in point: agreeing to talk to rogue nations without preconditions, or the whole J. Wright fiasco). I just wouldn't be comfortable with someone like that being the leader of the free world. Make a decision, and make it the right one the first time. Don't stand there blubbering waiting for your advisors to tell you what to say and do.

OBAMA STARTING TO CREEP ME OUT

The Obama campaign posters and pictures have always creeped me out. I swear I think they have some left-wing artist working over there because it all looks too much like stylized propaganda to me.
