Such a myth that Shias and Sunnis keep killing each other, whether or not they're collaborators or not. Last I checked the word "myth" didn't mean "reality".
I wonder why Saddam kept sectarian hatred up during his reign if they could get along well if he just used an external enemy.

Kinda? Man, you must be off your rocker.
There still, most likely, would've been at least some sort of military action against Iraq even with Gore (or any other Democrat) in the White House. This is my major problem with the "Gore would be better, there'd be no Iraq war". It's nearly as foolish as "no 9/11, no Katrina" with Gore as president.

I love the internet, people don't know how to argue (or at least turns 99.9 percent of people into ten year olds). The fact that Bush sucks doesn't mean that the discussed blog post isn't utterly insane.
And I love the commenter up above who acted as if it's alright that the Glenn Greenwalds (fool and sock puppet master) are winning. Does that mean that when more Americans than not were to the right, that the righties were correct? Nobody's "winning" any debate, a vast majority of people are uninformed ignoramuses and are fickle as all hell.

This is pretty insane.
Really the craziest part for me is the whole "9/11" wouldn't have happened. This is proof that BDS exists (hell, I don't like Bush but I don't idiotically and ahistorically claim 9/11 wouldn't have happened had he not been president). The plan for 9/11 was years old by the time he took office, you expect him to perform some voodoo to uncover something happening during Clinton's tenure? Oh, sorry, only Democratic presidents have that magic pixie dust to save the world single-handedly.
And Saddam Hussein...assisting us? This woman is either very stupid or mentally ill. Not only that, but it seems that a lot of people cling to this "secular Saddam" like rabid dogs. No mention of his pan-Islamic conferences. No mention of giving payouts to the family of suicide bombers (who weren't doing it for secularism) in Palestine. Saddam was a harborer and funder of terrorists, just not the guys who hit us.
I also find the label "moderate" hilarious in terms of Middle Eastern leaders. You can find numerous quotes from "moderate" leaders about how the West needs to succom to Islam or about how evil Israel is or about how the Holocaust is a Zionist hoax.

Check the first six DEFINITIONS of the word on there (dictionary.com). The definitions all contain the word "false" (one says "make-believe").
Unlike most people who mouth off on the internet, I always know what I'm talking about.

Maher has said he is a "left-wing libertarian", when there is no such thing. Libertarianism is, by definition, a right wing philosophy. In fact, it's farther right than "normal" conservativism.

I'll never understand how people can think war can be "moral". You should be amoral in fighting a war - it's how the West became powerful.
Of course, the professor would take my above statement to mean I condone a nuclear strike - which I do not. It's just pathetic that grown men can talk about war as if they were teenagers.

Because the netroots acted as if it were by design (hacking and such) that votes weren't counted - not because of the voters.
My favorite part of the whole conspiracy computer vote nonsense was that Diebold executives give money to the Democrats.
