BONDS INDICTED

This is/will be a huge waste of time and legal resources.

Note that it is not the steriods he is being tagged for, but perjury. This is a procedural charge used against people that a prosecutor just has to "get": Scooter Libby, Martha Stewart.

I just do not get what is gained in this type of prosecution, other than an excercise in raw power.

This will also - as Rick has pointed out - gain far too much media attention.

Myself I don't understand what whole steriod problem is. If it is against the sport's rules then it is from there that the discipline should issue.

What somebody does to his own body is his own affair - opps! Am I sounding Libertarian?

All of this screams that government is acting as a vengeful governess. It is the nanny state spanking any and all that it cannot control in all aspects of life as it sees fit.

HILLARY'S "CLINTONESQUE" MOMENT

The Dems are never going to figure out how to beat Hilary. They don't have the gall to really go after her.

I read a great commentary on Hilary, it is a good thing that none of the other dems have seen this. If they take the author's advice they may actually win.

SCOOTER SCOOTS AWAY

I never liked Democrats or Republicans using the Presidential pardon. This is a royalty thing more than anything and should be taken away from the future Presidents.

STABBED IN THE WHAT?

The hate and blame Bush meme is very powerful,
but if you look at results, things are not going
that bad except in DC and the media.
Taliban and Al Qaeda are dying in great numbers.
Al Qaeda is unwelcome in Afghanistan and much of Iraq including Anbar.
There have been no major attacks within the United States.

We are a strong country, our military is solid, our economy is steady; unemployment low, stock market high. Our problems are political. Our Democrat elites hate Bush more than they love their country or their children.
This is strange and dangerous, but at least now we know.

ARE WE DAYS AWAY FROM WAR WITH IRAN?

Wooga,

I think it was implied the terroist attacks were of the overseas government variety on US soil. Saying that the Oklahoma City bombings were under Clinton's watch is like saying the Grenwich Village shooting happened under Bush.

I hope that we don't go to war with Iran, not yet anyway. Alot of people could say that were fighting a global war anyway, but the truth is that you need troops before a war. And the troops are bing sent to Iraq so a 2 Nation war right now is not a good idea in my opinion, even if its a just cause.

A DECLARATION OF (SEMI-AUTONOMOUS) INDEPENDENCE (SORT OF)

Rick, I was drawn here by your '24' commentaries, and although I am very liberal socialially and libertarian economically, I've found your main blog's commentaries to be the only right wing voice I could even tolerate reading. You have always seemed fair in your treatment of the Republican party and the President, and thus I've made you the alternative voice I listen to, even though I disagree with most, if not all, of your views. This post simply confirms that belief, and you will definitely not lose me as a reader.

CNN SEES NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US AND TERRORISTS

Doug Ross,

Its funny that Keith gets under your skin. Could it be that his rants expose the uglyness and hate you see in yourself?

Well CNN has always been the "Fear Network." If they can get us to fear something so we'll keep watching, they won't hold back.

This was evidenced a few times by the Daily Show which showed CNN having a whole day of "Target America: Are we safe anywhere?"

"THE PATH TO 9/11" PRE POST MORTEM

Remember that the photograph also shows Bush holding the book upside down - 'cause he can't read of course!

I'm thinking that if Slick Willie were holding the book it would be sideways with an extra piece of paper flopped down... if you catch my drift...

It would a lovely thing if ABC released a "Director's Cut" version on DVD and it sold a BUNCH of copies such that the dems have their collectivist noses rubbed in it.
