How many pictures of Palestinian kids dressed in fatigues and armed with toy guns did Johnson publish, usually with the caption “ROP Child Abuse?” How many 7th century practices of Islam did Johnson mock on his website? How many times did he make fun of women dressed in the chador?
So Mr. Moran, am I to assume that you think this stuff doesn't exist or is just a 'fringe element'? Or is it that you think honor killings, female circumcision, sharia and the hatred of infidels ( particularly Jews)that's rife in the Qu'ran and the Hadiths are just 'maginary boogie men ? Or just some peculiar quirks, kind like a nativity scene or a Latin Mass with no problem fitting into western society?
I hope not. I link to more Muslim sites on my blog than you do I betcha, and there are a number of intelligent Muslims who know this stuff is all too real and are concerned about the future implications.
Unfortunately, thanks to the wholesale license given to the wahabis by the last two administrations, they're in the minority and becoming more so - especially when people who ought to know better label any legitimate criticism of certain Islamic attitudes and practices as 'Islamophobia'.

Man's contribution to CO2 is tiny.
CO2 is a tiny fraction of the atmosphere.With historical data for temps, not just recent measurement in question, so are historical CO2 levels.
Change is change.
Why is it good when Obama does makes changes and bad when the climate (and CO2 levels - - maybe) changes?
It is all hooey! Smog? Eliminate it? Demonstrable problem, fix it.

It depends upon which axis you are measuring on.
I believe Beck sees no difference between the two majority parties because they are both big government parties. The difference is emphasis, not size.
Beck (and I increasingly) measures on the size/control of government less is, generally, better. This is a Libertarian approach which is how he has aligned himself. He doesn't hide this.
In terms of orginalism, I cannot find that the founders thought much good would come from a strong federal government. They wrote the Constitution to make the government just strong enough to stand - as it did not under the Articles of Confederation. They further limited it, at the State's insistence with the Bill of Rights.
This has been usurped. If you are measuring along the freedom from government controls, you end up measuring as Beck does. Unless you define it as controls you like vs. controls you don't like. This is the standard spectrum.
Anarchy is bad, no doubt, but we have slid VERY far towards totalitarianism, with an Oligarchy of Elites (from both parties) ruling and squabling over how they get to divide the pie they just stole form the citizens.
Remember, government cannot give what it has not first taken.
Who are you recommending we take from to fund your pet project? Is this theft moral?

People like the Norks and the mullahs don't understand 'diplomacy' and nuance.They understand strength and real consequences.
What starts out as trivial insults gradually morphs into disrespect, than into hostage taking and blackmail, and finally into actual hostility and military assaults.
Keep in mind that the Islamic Republic started out their 'relationship' with America by getting away with doing something no other country in history had pulled off - the forcible taking of our embassy and imprisoning of our diplomats.That was an act of war.
If you don't believe that their success at doing so with impunity has influenced their subsequent behavior,(and the behavior of others) I honestly don't think you've been paying attention.
Nor is it necessary to use blue water ships for gunboat diplomacy in our modern era.It was Soviet leader Kosygin who said in 1979 that if the Iranians had taken a Soviet embassy, their people would have been released in 48 hours or Tehran would have been reduced to a blackened crater.
After a suitable and short interval( no more than 48 hours) to ascertain what happened and attempt a peaceful release of our people, it ought to be ultimatum time...an dif our people aren't released, we should follow through.
Oh, and by the way, the reason North Korea is being allowed to behave in the manner it does is because of their relationship with China, not any military strength they possess.

Two things I don't think you're taking into account in your own analysis.
A) Afghanistan is LANDLOCKED and 75% of our supplies flow through Karachi. The aid the Bush Administration gave Pakistan was nothing more than a bribe to keep the pipeline open.Obama's aid is more of the same, and it will flow into th epockets of some of the most corrupt rulers on earth.
Recently, Kyrgystan tossed us out of a base we had been using adjacent to Afghanistan, but suddenly 'reconsidered' after the Russians made a deal with Obama to allow supplies in from the north through their territory. What that cost us is only to be imagined.And the flow can be cut off at any time.
b)Musharraf fell primarily because Condi Rice and the State Department insisted on forcing hime to allow benazhir Bhutto in as a 'partner' with the idea of creating more of a Paki 'democracy'.if we hadn't he'd likely still be there, and he was much more of a friend to the US than either Zardari( leftist, secular, kleptocrat) or Sharif ( Islamist).
