PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT AYATOLLAH BEHIND THE CURTAIN

The START agreements have the most intrusive nuclear inspection regimes in the history of the human race.

And if you can't tell the differnce between India and Iran, there is no hope for you.

IF IT'S BROKE, FIX IT

I am actually coming around to the view that the sit/rep in Pakistan-Afghanistan as well as our precarious position in Iraq plus the aggressiveness of the Iranians is going to require some of the prescriptions you offer above.

Higher taxes? Yes, although why cut a program (missile defense) that is just starting to show promise?

And I think you're shortchanging our people by chalking up re-enlistment to the reasons you gave. Anecdotal evidence would indicate the reason that I gave is also a strong inducement.

The Murtha-Democrat critique in this regard has always been tinged with rank partisanship in that they seek to assign blame not fix the problem. And you are the second person I've noticed in the last few days to recommend a redeployment to the north while letting the Sunnis and Shias have at each other.

I'd rather we up and leave than prolong our stay there if that is going to be our plan.

"THE PATH TO 9/11" SCRUTINZED UNFAIRLY

You are being completely disingenuous and you know it.

Blumenthal's intent was to posit a conspiracy that right wingers made P29/11 to smear Clinton.

Wyatt's article in the Times makes total hash of that nonsense.

As for scare words, when Blumenthal uses idiotic adjectives like "mysterious" to describe a script title used 10,000 times in TV history, he is being deliberately provocative.

And no, he did NOT use Nowrasteh's quote "word for word" - something I proved conclusively if you could read. Blumenthal wanted to leave the impression that Nowrasteh said that the Administration did nothing about terrorism when it is absolutely clear from the interview that Nowrasteh was talking ONLY about the Cole bombing - a fact that you don't even bother to address.

It IS calumnious for Blumenthal to try and tar mainstream religious groups like YWAM with being a radical right wing organization. It is a false impression that if he had taken the time to read about the group and read what others say about it, he would have seen how patently ridiculous his charges were.

In short, Blumenthal's piece was a dishonest attack using strawmen, misquotes, scare mongering, and deliberate falsehoods.

As for that scene, I have made it clear I found it ridiculously inaccurate - as were several other scenes I've pointed out on other posts. As soon as you acknowledge the truth of other scenes involving Clinton, I'll give you leave to criticize. Until then, keep your mouth shut.

QUICK THOUGHTS ON PART II OF P29/11

In order to "get" al Qaeda, we'd need regime change in about a half dozen countries.

Glad to have you aboard the neo con war wagon.

9/10: A DEFINITIONAL DAY FOR THE LEFT

Well said, CP.

I took a lot of flak a few weeks ago by daydreaming that perhaps once one of their own was sitting in the big chair, the left would do an about face and realize the pickle we're in.

At the very least, they would defend the actions of their man (or woman) and present the appearance of solidarity. The psychological affect that might have on our enemies would be tremendous.

But then - it's just a daydream...

SPINNING THE LIGHT FANTASTIC

Are you kidding?

The scare words he uses are too numerous to count.

And the whole point of the article was that the entire project was a right wing collusion in both the making and the promoting of it.

That, on its face, is loony.

LICENSE TO KILL

Nowhere in the film is there any reference whatsoever to Saddam being involved in 9/11.

Nowhere in the film is there any reference whatsoever to Saddam having WMD.

You are an ignoramous. It is laughably obvious you never saw the film. Please never come here again. I'm the only one who is allowed to make a fool of themselves here.

As for the "cultural domination" quote...you're kidding right? Do you live under a rock?

You'all are an incoherent lout. There is absolutely no comparison between the Reagan show and this. None.

Some of the arguments used are the same but the circumstances involving the two dramas are so different that it is laughable you and Lambchop brought it up.

MUSHARRAF'S DEAL WITH THE DEVIL

Gary:

You're a liar. My post that Lambchop linked to is clearly labeled as speculation. And subsequent posts on the subject by me actually point out that I was even wrong to speculate on that fact.

So go f*ck yourself.

MUSHARAF'S FAUSTIAN BARGAIN

I'm going by what passes for lefty critiques on this site. Of course there is much deeper and more valuable critiques out there. I read them, I know. But on this site, the shallowness, the ignorance, and the sheer idiocy of lefties who comment here makes my generalization accurate.

When I engage an intelligent liberal - as I have on numerous occassions - it is a pleasure.
