NOT A CULT, A CRUSADE

On the contrary, I have read and studied his positions and "philosphy" on his website.

It is a cut and paste job that lacks both specificity and realism. Precious little on how to fund his programs save "raise taxes on the rich." Considering the cost of his plans will top $875 billion over 5 years, he will need considerably more revenue than that to make his proposals "revenue neutral."

He talks change but his health care plan has been around DC for a decade or more. His energy plan is laughable - again with absolutely no specificity regarding how we get there from here not to mention how much "encouraging" alternative energy sources will cost.

I could go on and on. And before you criticize someone as you did me, perhaps you should remember the fact that just because someone throws a bunch of crap on a website doesn't mean he is being specific. Easily impressionable people like you ought to do a little more thinking and less emoting when it comes to Obama.

"Emotion trumps reason"

Thanks for proving my point, Jake.

And most of that pabulum on "change" is cut and pasted from a variety of sources as TNR showed a couple of months ago.

There's hardly an original thought in the entire piece.

WE'RE GOING TO NEED THE PATIENCE OF JOB

You're right. It's almost as if I have to keep trying to convince myself.

But Iraq is - must be - a deal breaker with Hillbama. And I really think McCain would be much more aggressive in the war on terror than either of them. Both of them are trapped by their pacifist base and would be constrained to act in any international situation.

As for the rest - all we can do is try and hold his feet to the fire.

WHY I AM SICK TO DEATH OF BOTH PARTIES

I would also reiterate that I am not trying to persuade anyone. My goal is to chastise.

I have absolutely no illusions that any of the close minded extremists who have decided to sit home on election day will be persuaded by anything I or anyone else says.

"Conscience" my ass. We live in a time where you can't afford a "conscience" if you truly love this country and don't want to see Hilbama ruin it for decades to come.

FM:

I am hardly a "party loyalist." I am loyal to the United States of America and I recognize that a Hillbama presidency would harm the country more than a McCain presidency.

So the choice is sit home and elect Hillbama which will damage the country and conservatism much, much more than McCain will.

Not recognizing that elections are about choices and not purity is infantile.

Davey Crockett. Appleseed, Righty, and all other sock puppets names you've created:

We don't allow sock puppets to comment on this website. Are you really that stupid to believe there aren't ways to determine if the same commenter is using different names?

The fact that you don't know this probably means you are about 12 years old. Since this is a place for adult conversation, please run to your mommy and cry to her. Don't try and comment here again.

Appleseed:

Your comment was deleted for its misogyny and its insulting tone.

Nice try with the sockpuppet, moron.

As opposed to:

I am a Republican.

I don't like the Republican nominee.

I will help elect a Democrat by staying home on election day.

OK?

"EXCLUSIVE!" JOHN McCAIN CPAC SPEECH

I've already said I would vote for McCain in November.

THE OBESITY CRUSADE

The politics or ideology of the lawmaker is not the point. It is his contention that obese people are costing government taxpayer monies that is the issue.

By his standard, anorexic people should also be targeted - perhaps by placing someone in the restaurant restroom to make sure they don't binge and purge.

It is this mindset that leads to the NHS rationing care based not on need but on but on a subjective criteria having to do with lifestyle or viability.
