ACORN hysteria has nothing to with race and ACORN’s been defunded.
That is what Republicans like to tell each other. In minority communities I'm willing to bet the perception is much different.

Perhaps, but the ability of 48% to block any legislation leaves 52% of the country without representation. Chuck Grassley and John Kyl have made it pretty clear there will be no Republicans joining the majority. Period.
Democrats don't need all their members to vote for a health care bill. They do need all of them to vote for cloture and not join in a Republican filibuster.

The Democrats at least have the Blue Dogs. The conservatives, like Walt above, will brook no opposition or criticism. They want you out. They also want guys like David Frum and probably James Joyner out, too. Anybody who will not stand up and chant, "Death panels, death panels" is a turncoat and not welcome. You can become an independent or even (gasp!) a conservative Democrat (there is such a thing, you know).
Walt lists as proof of how irrelevant you are luminaries like Gingrich and William Jacobson (Legal Insurrection) and accuses you of PDS, which about 60% of America suffers from by the way. There's your party, dude. Love it or leave it.

As already noted, that some Freeper is the founder and owner of Free Republic.
The Nazi Facists are currently in power in D.C. right this minuit. You know, the ones that quite literally walking in the footsteps of the Nazi Party in Germany… supporting the murder of the innocent (abortion) and or undesirables (handicapped and elderly alike), forcing the people to work for the state instead of themselves. Nationalizing whole industries… you know THAT sounds exactly like what those in Power in DC are doing today!
Someone actually believes the stuff Jonah Goldberg writes I guess, though I suspect he doesn't even believe most of it himself.
Many on the Right are truly becoming overwrought. This is what 30 years of listening to hysterical, over-the-top rhetoric on the radio and Internet, along with a steady diet of Sean Hannity and Mark Levin will do to a person.
Mark and Sean and, of course David Horowitz, one of the original SDS morons, are the new Jerry Rubin and Abby Hoffman, except with a bigger audience. They're selling the same old snake oil, just from a different bottle and they wear ties. In the end, though, even the most radical Berkeley leftists realized these guys were a sham. It didn't take nearly as long, either.
Right-wingers who agree with the Freepers better wake up because to most of the country thinks this stuff is loony. If "tyranny" really existed, Jim Robinson would disappear and no one would ever know what happened to him. For Dianna, with her Nazi comparison (always a bad choice), ponder what the real Hitler's reaction might have been to a guy like Jim Robinson.

I've always thought of the political spectrum as communists and anarchists on the far left extreme and fascists and Nazis on the far right extreme. They are similar in a lot of ways, but it's ridiculous to claim a neo-Nazi is a "leftist".
This guy happened to be a neo-Nazi, which is as far from a "leftist" as you can get. Tim McVeigh was another right-wing nut, as is the guy who recently shot the doctor. It's not hard to tell who's a right-wing nut and who's a left-wing nut. The left-wing nuts are the guys who show up at G-7 meetings wearing football helmets and throw rocks through windows. They tend not to be quite as well armed as right-wing nuts.

Didn't take long for the defenders of Glenn Beck to arrive, did it? You want to argue that he isn't apocalyptic? He is.
He is also very popular on the most popular conservative outlet available, Fox News. He was perfectly appropriate for Charles Blow to point to in making his argument.
What argument? That Beck is a conservative "leader?" That he espouses violent revolution? Get a grip kid, your gray matter is dripping out your ears.
