A MILLION REASONS TO CELEBRATE

Awesome. And well-earned, too.

A FEW RANDOM THOUGHTS ON BLOGGING, THE MEDIA, AND HOW WE GOT OURSELVES INTO THIS MESS

A SLAP IN THE FACE

There's a lot of necks in Washington that need wringing about now...

DOMENECH RESIGNS

This event so much illustrates the difference between the left and right. This guy got caught doing something wrong, so he left in shame. The left never does that -- I've been following the trials of the Democrat Speaker of the House in NC, Jim Black. He has very clearly and obviosly broken the law -- but despite now being investigated by at least 4 different organizations, including the FBI and the State Prosecutor, and the Board of Elections confirming he's broken the law, he still won't resign.

SACRE BLEU! FRENCH CNN TO BROADCAST IN ENGLISH

And the banning of non-English in government publications can also be a matter of economics -- it costs a lot less (in so many ways) to print instructions in English instead of 20 different languages.

NASA: THE LITTLE AGENCY THAT CAN'T

Hey, I like NASA, but I am the only one who reads statements like these:
"The cuts come to $3 billion over the next five years, even as NASA’s overall spending grows by 3.2 percent this year"
and just pretty much ignore any complaints? If they're getting 3.2% MORE than they had, only in government-land can that possibly be considered a "cut."

CAN CONSERVATIVES GOVERN?

I don't know why you say that Bush and the Congress is conservative. Sure, they may say that they are, but as you so clearly outline, their actions show that they are not conservatives. If I call myself a millipede, that doesn't mean I am one.
