DEMOCRATS UNVEIL FALL 2008 FASHIONS

For a very short time after the Dems won the house and senate I was optimistic that they'd grow up -- no such luck. I have no doubt that their ongoing posturing has, and continues to, cause more death than would have otherwise occurred because their actions/words effectively thwart our (and the Iraqi people's chances for) success in Iraq.

It makes me ever so weary and completely unsurprised that no Dems even bothered to even pretend to act responsibly and listen to today's briefing by General P..

No, there'll be none of that, "we lost and must cut and run" is their permanent, shameful, mantra. God help us all.

GOODBYE CHIEF ILLINI...WELCOME SOY BOY!

"The new mascot will be “Soy Boy” in reference to the state’s #1 crop."

Sounds more like #2 to me!

GAME ON!

Sorry your guys didn't win Rick, but a damn good opening, record-book play, that will be remembered forever!

THE STATE OF OUR NATION: LOOKS LIKE 1982

Kate, he certainly has given some excellent speeches and he has stayed true to his convictions in each of them (and to convictions stated while still governor of TX).

Rarely though has the MSM given the content of those speeches fair shrift. For example, the "16-words" speech was great, but the left got themselves all in a tizzy over Plame/Wilson instead of taking his warnings to heart.

Yes, he could be a better speaker in general and yes he could have made different choices in the execution of the war in Iraq, but he's had a heavy partisan load to bear from the Dems since before his first election was certified.

Sadly enough, neither the press nor the Dems will get serious until "24" actually happens; so it's going to get worse before it gets better, of that I have no doubt.

JUST LIKE RIDING A BICYCLE

CHLOEism Vote: I’d rather not!

Regina King (Sandra Palmer) had just about the same lines and attitudes when she played Will Smith's wife in "Enemy of the State."

IG REPORT ON BERGER'S THEFT AN EYE OPENER

"Berger robbed the American people of the only thing owned by all of us; our shared experiences as a nation."

Exactly. To put it simply: Berger stole our stuff and got away with it.

I'm totally amazed that the guy isn't behind bars. Well, amazed isn't the right adjective, scared is more fitting and I certainly am.

It'll get scarier yet if a Dem is elected in '08 and brings good old Sandy back on board. Nothing to stop same, in view of the conveniently timed reinstatement of his security clearance. The thought of his being part of a future administration is disgusting, but I think it likely he would be.

LOOKING INTO THE FACE OF ETERNITY

"...we’ve only begun to scratch the surface of what’s out there and what awaits us as we begin in earnest to reach out and touch the face of eternity."

Not to be too depressing Rick, but unless we nip the Islamo-Fascist designs in the bud, and soon (as in right now). We won't be reaching out and touching anything (nor progressing in Earthly medical cures either).

It's an odd juxtaposition though, isn't it?

JEANE KIRKPATRICK, AMERICAN

"One wonders if Ambassador Kirkpatrick had been male if she would have been described that way."

One need not wonder Rick, Bolton got what she would have.

HAGEL SAYS "NO DEFEAT" IN iRAQ: JIHADIS GIGGLE

Kathy thinks that I'll: "eventually come to understand that “good” and “bad” are verbs, not nouns."

No I won't. :-)

Mark said, in an attempt to close the productive thread with some levity!
