PARTY LIKE IT'S 1980 ALL OVER AGAIN

Interesting analysis and speculations.
But, the 500 lb gorillas in the room that are not being seen or discussed are illegal immigration, mass amnesty, and wide open borders.

We get these and the spiral of America to a one party state (the party that panders most to illegal aliens and the dependent classes) regardless of who wins: McCain or Obama. They have no differences on these issues. And, it doesn't take a lot of imagination to see tyranny under a one party system.

A FEW MORE TIDBITS FOR YOUR READING PLEASURE

Nice tidbits.
Mexico gets more than "veto power" over our border fence, etc., it has a direct pipeline to every city and town in America. Please see the Mexico Country Profile at my site.

Thanks.

THE SPOILED BRAT WING OF THE GOP

Rick, thanks for your usual insightful, if ranting, article. I wish before you decide Republican Good, Democrat bad you would consider the impacts of the President's and Senate's illegal immmigration policies and legislation. Please consider the following:

Here is a highly simplified listing of my view of the alternatives:

1) Vote for the democrats (horrors) or don’t vote (drop out). The problem here is that if the Democrats win a majority in the US House of Representatives in 2006 and the White House in 2008, then the borders stay wide open, we throw open the gates to as many illegal immigrants as can walk across our borders; 10, 20, 50, or a 100 million (who knows). The result is the end of a two party system in America and the agonizing decent into a socialist, totalitarian state. America as we know it is gone, irredeemable gone, forever.

2) On the other hand, if we are loyal to our President and our GOP leadership, then the borders stay wide open, we throw open the gates to as many illegal immigrants as can walk across our borders; 10, 20, 50, or a 100 million (who knows), and the Democrats with millions of uneducated, un-assimilated, new block-voters sweep into permanent rule. The result is the end of a two party system in America and the agonizing decent into a socialist, totalitarian state. America as we know it is gone, irredeemable gone, forever.

I call Alternative #1 the “shoot me and get it over with alternative.”
I call Alternative #2 the “stab me and let me bleed to death alternative.”

If you do not believe the illegal immigration issue is as important as I do, then you may be right. If you do, then it doesn't matter who you blame. Please see the rest of the argument and thanks again. I suggest action now, not waiting until the election.

WILL THE RIGHT SELF-DESTRUCT OVER IMMIGRATION?

Nice discussion Rick, and some food for thought.

But, given the choice of destruction of America by the GOP leadership or by Hillary and crew, I dont see much difference. Court appointments, taxes, foreigh policy, the fight against terror, the rule of law in America. All will surely fall as fast from GOP leadership on immigration and the demise of America through a socialist one party state as a result of GOP leadership policy as they will fall from Hillary and the DEMS.

Shoot me (Hillary) and it may take a few seconds to die.

Stab me (GOP Leadership) and it may take a few minutes to die.

The result is the same, I die.

If President bush and the GOP leadership succeed in their immigration/amnesty/citizenship/open borders policies and they will stab America.

Bush->Immigration Disaster->Hillary->fall of America
or
Hillary-> Untold disasters-> fall of America.

Take your pick, stabbed or shot?

"DEMOCRATS WILL NOT SEEK TO IMPEACH BUSH" AND OTHER BEDTIME STORIES

The President's speech monday should be interesting.
I expect a lot of spin about border security, troops, etc. to get the mass amnesty and free citizenship for illegal aliens through the Senate. After that, everybody goes home and it's open border business again as usual.

If that is what happens, you can start getting ready to brush up on impeachment because the GOP will tank in 2006.

If we had any real investigative reporters left, it would be interesting to have them follow the money in Mexico and in the US from the drug cartels.

HUGH HEWITT: KOOL AID DRINKER OR SAGE OF SAGES?

Rick Said: "Republicans underestimate this yearning at their own peril. As I have stated on numerous occasions, the biggest mistake this President has made to date has been his failure to call on the American people for shared sacrifice in the prosecution of the war."

Agree Rick, this was a big mistake but I would put it at #3.

#1 Stubborn, unreachable, beyond discussion, support for open borders, illegal immigration, amnesty, and free citizenship. Putting one race and national origin above another, putting criminals ahead of legal immigrants and citizens, and fighting a phony war on terror by leaving our borders open to any terrorist with feet.
#2 The President and senior GOP leadership going out of its way to ignore and hurt the conservative base. Example: White House support for McCain, the Democrat's darling.
#3 What you said, not engaging the public in our defense.

Nice post, thanks again.

JUST HOW DYSFUNCTIONAL ARE OUR INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES?

Nice, thoughtful post. When thinking about the dysfunctional CIA it is tempting to compare it with the Catholic Church in the US. Infiltrated by homosexuals (pedophiles) the Church was damaged forever by a criminal group who had little boys not salvation on their mind.
The CIA was likewise infiltrated by a group of PC liberals (Carter, Bush 41, Clinton appointies who in turn recruited more liberals). This criminal group had left wing politics not public service on their mind and so leaking to damage Bush, regardless of the damage to America or how many people were murdered, was acceptable. Thus, the CIA is a house divided between patriots and political left-wing partisanship. Too Bad that President Bush didn't pick a more capable Director to clean house.

RICKY'S FABLES

Rick Said: "The people of Unis took out their frustrations at the polls in November. And which party do you think suffered the most?"

Now suppose that the left coast of Unis fell from within from a Fifth Column of those French. Which party do you think would suffer most in November?
