SOME CUTESY OBSERVATIONS ON THE COMING APOCALYPSE

Rick, thanks for your thoughts on this issue. I reflects my thinking exactly. I also am tiring of the hyperbole from the political Left and Right about the consequences of being for or against this huge bailout. This one sticks in my craw probably more than most: I don't have a mortgage, I'm a renter. I haven't saved enough to make a SANE 20% down payment for a mortgage. So why are younger people like me put in the position of having take toxic debt off the books of major banks. Will these banks give me sort of discount or cut rate? I doubt it. Even if the government ends up making money on this a decade from now, will get back some sort of check from our "investment"? I doubt that too.
If your in your 20's and 30's, a non-homeowner, single and paying rent, the government will basically tell us to bend over, take it and not complain.
Excuse me if I'm less than thrilled about this.

AN EASY LIAR

The one thing that has stood out with me and Mr. Obama is his total lack of humility -- which leads him to lie. It is not possible for him to admit that he is wrong on a substantive issue because in his mind and the world of South Chicago politics he is perfect.

It is amazing that aobut 50% of the electorate cannot see that his is a demagogue and an easy liar...

WHAT ARE WE "WINNING?"

I tire of McCain's 100 years comment being distored by the left and then I have to tolerate it from a RW site. Read , learn, don't lie and distort. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23390915/

Um...who said anything about McCain? Or his "100 years" comment.

I know full well what McCain meant by that comment and have defended it on this site previously. But you are not worth the trouble of looking for it because you criticized me without even reading my post.

ed.

THE DEBATE OF ALMOST, MOSTLY, REPUBLICANS

Rick, I know you say you would vote for McCain in order to keep Hillary out of the White House, but, what if Obama is the nominee? And what if, in the general election, he shifts to the political Right and brings Leiberman on-board as a running mate? He did hint he could go that way by saying some nice things about Reagan.
Would you still vote for McCain or for an Obama-(fill in conservative Democrat here) ticket?
Just curious.
Thanks.

WOOING FREDHEADS

Yeah, I am going to wait. My chance at the process was in Iowa. I haven't a say anymore. Will say that I don't much like my choices. (I am a closet Federalist) Who has a chance to beat "the machine"?

OF "GOD'S STANDARDS" AND CONSERVATISM

He has ZERO chance of becoming President. Even as bad as the Democrat side is, anyone of them would beat him easily (OK, maybe not Edwards). His narrow appeal on the religion side is just not enough reason to vote for him. And maybe reason enough to vote against him.

McCAIN NOW CROWNED "MR. INEVITABLE"

All well and good. But, McCain is not a conservative! The only thing he gets right is the war on terrorists! He is so much like Lieberman, they might just be the same person. It would not be a Republican victory to have McCain win. Please, God, let someone sensible win this!

IT'S "THE FRED EFFECT"

How much of a surge? We don't really know. We do know just how accurate polls have been at late. And good point, Allah is very smooth. But I have his number and he doesn't bother me.

HUCKALIAR CHANNELS LUCIFER FOR AD PLOY

I think we are seeing the beginnings of the Huckabee melt down. And it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. Although it should have happened sooner. Yes, his support of the FairTax was the beginning for him. I apologize over and over.

FINAL DES MOINES REGISTER POLL A PUZZLER

The DM Register is nothing but a DNC newsletter with TV listings and weather. Republicans here don't ever trust it. Any poll by them is always suspect. No one can predict with any believability what caucus goers finally decide. How cold and how much snow might. There has never been a very high percentage of voters that also caucus. It's a bit of a mystery to me that is tells anybody anything.
