Yes. We, as a society and a culture have fallen far, far, down the "courage" scale. It began about 1963 when the media and university elites told us we needed not to think, but to feel.
What do you feel?...became a mantra. Tell us your feelings...thinking as a form for decision making became devalued, until today it's ALL about feelings.
If one responds only to their feelings there's not much room for courage....because courage calls for overcoming fear...and fear is a feeling...You can and will be celebrated today if you follow your feelings, but an individual's courage is devalued because it does not often serve the group dynamic...which feeds off of feelings.
Besides, courage calls for a person to choose right over wrong...in a world where relativity rules there's no such thing.

You are dead-on right about the media. I have seen nothing like this ever...Barry is their candidate...no longer even a pretense of objectivity. Maybe only in 1960 when "Mattress-Jack" Kennedy was running against the liberals' satan Dick Nixon and even that campaign doesn't compare well with this one.
Both Reuters and TIME in recent days have posted soties about Obama with attached photos showing Barry with a helo. I am not kidding. He's being advertised as a kind of modern Christ...imagine that? After coming out of Chicago politics...a Christ?
The mainstream media is deeply corrupt.

Granted, this is a clear hoax. But before you dismiss alien visitation, go to Disclosure project.com. Over 200 witnesses with government connections have offered to testify before Congress about the reality of alien visitation. Over 800 pilots have reported encounters with...something.
It is likely only a matter of time before this reality becomes objectified. Too many people taking too many grainey picture of saucers and triangles. Not likely that all of them are ours. Quite likely that some of those that aren't ours are not hoaxes.
Sooner or later someone is going to have evidence that cannot be denied.
Scientists are increasingly agreeing that faster than light travel is possible.
We'll see, be patient.

REACTION TO NORTH CAROLINA AD A TASTE OF THE FUTURE
Mark: McCain himself admitted he talked to Kerry about the VP nomination. He was also in discussion with the Dems about coming to caucus with them, Jeffords beat him to it.
You forget how angry McCain was after losing to Bush in 2000. It is widely believed his consideration of these two options were seriously considered.
I'm not repeating anything new here, nor anything that hasn't appeared in print thousands of times.
McCain is neither a party-guy nor a conservative in any ideological sense. He will never be forgiven for trying with Kennedy and Graham to push amnesty through Congress before too many noticed.

It should be no surprise that McCain denounced this ad. McCain was/is the media's candidate for the GOP nomination. He is basically a big-spending liberal who nearly twice became a Democrat. He opposed border control, thought Charles Keating a good guy, good enough to take his money, and has had no trouble "reaching out" to Democrats.
Where he seems to have problems is with conservatives.

Hillary could have talked about specifics, but that could lose her votes. Can't have that. The media protects these candidates. It's part of the media's job as they see it.
Don't wait for any of the major candidates to talk about their voting records on immigration amnesty. It won't happen.
