IF ELECTED, OBAMA WILL BE MY PRESIDENT

I'd like to respond to the person who glibly quoted the Bible about "obeying government". The founding fathers had some interesting views about their own place in engaging in a revolution against what was then considered their governmental sovereign, that of King George.

The American founders understood the whole drift of the Bible, as it touches upon the terrestrial sphere of human governance, is governments are only legitimate "ministers of God" when they "bear the sword against evildoers" and cause no fear in its good citizens. Read all of Romans 13.

Now the liberals will whine that in their view "Bu$Hitler" was/is a tyrant and that "fact" caused fear in them blah, blah, blah ... therefore, he wasn't legitimate. I say Bullhockey! The only fear they had was fearing their own ginned up fear. In reality liberals manufactured a hate and a climate of fear for Bush way out of proportion to the threat he or any other government agency that he may leaned upon to carry out his constitutional duty to keep this country safe and secure from threats domestic and abroad. Actually, what liberals really feared was the display of power against evildoers who made threats and attacked this country and thus their own conscience began troubling them, particularly given their involvement with seditious lies in hopes of delegitimizing the war on terror and President Bush himself. I'd be fearful too if government was carrying out its proper function of preserving society under the Constitution and I found myself opposing it! Right?

I think mainstream conservatives and libertarians - looking back on the Reno/Clinton hamhanded attack on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco as just one example - have very concrete historical reasons to believe that liberal fascism is a growing threat and a cause for fear, particularly when we look at how liberals have justified their PC thought-police dogmas in the past and most recently the "Obama truth squads" which were galvanizing an effort in Missouri with Democratic law enforcement authorities to go after campaign speeches (read: any pro-McCain/Palin advertisement) which they deemed were "lying" about Obama.

In effect, a government which causes its most mainstream citizenry to fear its rule is, by the Bible's account (Romans 13) illegitimate since governmental ministers of God do not cause fear in good people - at least in theory, that is. BTW, what constitutes the "mainstream citizenry" is not to be confused with extremist leftist moonbats and Obamatons who had envisioned all kinds of black helicopter conspriacy theories while they themselves remained inexplicably free of Bush's purported secret re-education camps. Heh!

So that's how the American founders justified its opposition to King George and justified their litany of complaints which were clearly rendered in the body of the Declaration of Independence. Read them again yourselves, such high-handed legalisms engaged in by the Crown did cause wholesale fear among the American colonists, though about of a 1/3 of the colonists did prove to be die-hard loyalists despite the legal intimidations and depradations.

Even Thomas Jefferson noted there may come a time in America when the blood of patriots and tyrants would be mixed, possibly a time to "dissolve the bounds which bind us". But those times will be dictated by just how radical a "change" Pelosi/Reid/Obama will openly engage in in order to make this nation over into their image.

It is sobering, but when faced with a secular liberal/humanist socialism which threatens the very constitutional foundations of our country, we are under no moral allegiance to such a perverted system that works like a cancer on the very character of this nation, if indeed it is even possible for us to establish a new republic under the old Constitution through political and legal means.

The fact of the matter is this, strip away all the nice-sounding political rhetoric engaged in by the American left and we're left with their subconsciously rabid socialism which will unceasingly attempt to pervert every institution of freedom which historically defined this nation. The grand irony is the party which has in the past howled its purported support for First Amendment rights will show an easy willingness to subvert it if it means shutting up their political adversaries (us). And the only question about the Second Amendment is, will it meet its demise before or after the First Amendment.

Yes, we must fight them in the political and rhetorical trenches and on the information front, too, but as long as the lamestream media continues to perform the function of an Amerika Pravda, it becomes necessary that every American must be made aware of and has access to alternative news sources like that which is found in the conservative blogosphere. But given the Demoncrats' very public push to subvert the Fairness Doctrine by bending it to their own need to shut down unfettered opposition speech, the conservative blogosphere is also endanger of extinction under the rising tide of PC codes and liberal fascism.

And the most vexing prediction I make is this: Despite the ideological hellhole this new Amerika may become under an Obama administration, we may find a clear majority of Americans who are quite content with living in their new velvet gulag. Fatted cattle are often like that.

Screw this let's be a doormat for liberal hypocrites who seem more than willing to lie, engage in voter fraud, and ride the coattails of the national media propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.

This is the final straw. If the liberals want a culture war then they're going to get one. Exactly as you said Rick, during perilous times these seditious liberals lied about and crapped on POTUS for nearly seven freakin' years and they've lied and crapped on an honorable man like John McCain and a mainstream mom like Sarah Palin.

SCREW THESE PEOPLE. I'm tired of Democrat-lite Republicans playing kissy face with Democrats working for their utter destruction, this is a winner-keeps-all political battle and the Republicans actually want to "keep things civil"! Astonishing. That's precisely what the traditional Germans did when the German National Socialists (read: NAZIs) humiliated and then marginalized them and what socialist movements around the world do ... lie, intimidate, get the media on their side, promise the moon and deliver misery.

I don't want my grandkids and greatgrandkids asking me why I didn't fight fire with fire and why I let about of spoilt brat socialists take this country over. If you don't think the Donks are going to use their iron grip on both houses of Congress and the Executive Branch to advance their socialist agenda in every American institution and endeavor, then you've been swilling the same kool-aid they've been.

The liberals have declared war on us, in fact they did so decades ago, and it's about time we start fighting back in like kind or else we're going to condemn our posterity to another failed socialist state. I don't think I'm being hyperbolic here, but this is no time to lie down when so many questions about this empty suit stealth candidate aren't being investigated by the nationa media that is in the tank for the Democrats. What possible hope to we ever have in getting our message out if we resign ourselves to being marginalized by liberals in the Demoncratic Party and the liberal national media as a bunch of right-wing blogger kooks that should be ignored?

Explain to me how an unaccomplished, inexperienced, unknown candidate can rise from the bowels of the most corrupt political party machine in Chicago U.S.A., beat a mainstream Democrat (sHrillary) and be this close to the White House? There is very little legitimate about this man other than his very real, long-term relationships with American-haters like Ayers, Wright, Dohrn, et al, and corrupt "community empowerers" like ACORN?

No! Hell no! As a traditional, patriotic American, Obama will not be my president any more than Hitler would have been my Chancellor as a traditional German. I refuse to be intimidated by any socialist thug and their sycophants in a corrupt political party and a fawning media.

ENDGAME

I'm just glad this generation wasn't around during World War II because we would have gotten our clocks cleaned by the Nazis. After the debacle in assaulting the Italian peninsula and never gotten to the bloodbath of Normandy. And if we had landed in Normandy, once another 8,000 Allied soldiers died in the abortive Market Garden laugher, FDR would have been impeached and Eisenhower would have been shoot as an incompetent boob. God help us because obviously our spoilt brat generation certainly isn't going to help itself since we're busily trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

ASSAD SHOWS HIS THANKS TO NANCY, CONDI FOR THEIR EFFORTS

Cleo, let's make this easier. Why don't you give us examples of where the military brass has been wrong (and there have been cases of them being wrong or even deceptive as with any large organization, even the Democrat Party) and then we'll have to assume the other ten million times the military brass has been honest and forthright.

Do you have proof that the DoD is wrong about the strength levels of the Kansas National Guard ... other than the lies of the Kansas governor, the vile Democratic opportunists, and partisan lefty bloggers? That's the real issue here.

Rick, you have to admit the leftist will always resort to conspiracy theories and people being in CYA mode in the Bush Administration in order to swallow the pathetic lies of the left. Tim of Releigh is a perfect example of this reflexive moonbattery: BTW, Rick…the quote from the Kansas NG Commander? Of course he said that. He has to. You know as well as I that so long as he is a member of the U.S. Military, particularly as a high ranking officer, he HAS TO support the President.

Forget Occam's razor, Democrats never lie for political reasons, and anything the Administration, Department of Defense and actual documents themselves must always be questioned.

Here's the DoD analysis of the readiness of the Kansas National Guard ... but of course lefty bloggers and the liberal media are ALWAYS in lieu of some warmongering official spokesperson of the eeeeevil military industrial complex that are nothing more than lying liars who lie. Oh, and you can discount any documentation that the government might subsequently produce because Bush and Rove are forcing their mind-numbed pawns in the DoD to lie and use forged documents to further victimize the Kansas governor who is only speaking truth to power. And did I mention the governor was female? There you have it, it proves the left's case, Bush hates women doesn't he?

A real feather in the hat of liberal foreign policy makers like General Pelosi. Amazing how she was able to speak for the Bush administration as well as the Olmert administration in Israel despite PM Olmert's subsequent denial that Israel has not changed its stance toward Syria.

And as to the mendacious liberal posturing about the state of the National Guard in Kansas, Powerlineblog.com uncovered this incovenient truth about the vile political opportunism of liberal Democrats and their left-wing lap dogs in the media who continue foisting this lie upon the American people to this very hour:

Kathleen Sebelius, the Democratic Governor of Kansas, claimed that Kansas is missing 60 percent of its National Guard equipment because of the war, and has thus been hampered in dealing with the damage caused by the tornado. Barack Obama made the same claim, while somehow managing to state that the death toll was 10,000, not 12. And of course lefty bloggers tried to hammer the point home.

In fact, it’s not true that Kansas was missing 60 percent of its National Guard equipment, or that the National Guard was ill-prepared to deal with the aftermath of the tornado. The Democrats’ claim is pure invention. According to Randal Noller, public affairs officer for the National Guard Bureau, the Kansas National Guard has 88 percent of its forces available, and 60 percent of its Army Guard dual-use equipment on hand, along with more than 85 percent of its Air Guard equipment. If the Kansas National Guard were short-handed in any way, it could have asked for assistance from other states under a national sharing agreement. It did not do so.

KOWTOWING TO KOS

“He uses statistics as a drunk uses lamposts. For support rather than illumination.”

Interesting you bring this up since I've used the quote numerous times myself to describe liberals who live by the polls and sometimes shape their lives by the polls. It's interesting you didn't apply it to those on your side of the aisle who throw out polling data which at best is just a snapshot of people's perception of what happens to be the opinion du jour. Conservatives are typically adverse to public opinion polling data, except to point out the contradictory results ... like I did.

Drongo, you make my point, polls end up being push polls and I find myself having to answer in such a way that undercuts my more nuanced understanding of a complex issue. That's why polls in general are useless.

Liberal Democrats have been saying the war is "lost". Well I maintain the war was won when we deposed Saddam's regime and won in spectacular fashion. What hasn't been won is the "peace" and therein lies the fly in the ointment because people have different view of what "peace" is. For instance, some would say even America isn't at peace. Just look at the violence in our own culture, but in this case it's not violence due to religious sectarianism. And I would argue that Iraq isn't engaged in a civil war but rather a more narrow Islamic sectarian violence. The left and the liberal media have on no less than seven different occasion in the last three years declared civil war yet there is no nation-wide war being fought on any ideo-political grounds. What we're seeing in Iraq is both home-grown and foreign jihadists continuing their war against the forces of democracy in Iraq. It has in a very real way become another front on the war on terror. That is where the enemies of liberty have chosen to fight and fight them we must.

And when you read President Jack Kennedy's (John Kennedy to you) inaugural address I can just see the gears turning in your head as you will probably engage in shallow rationalizations in hopes of gutting the very meaning of what this great American was conveying to a world burden by the chains of tyranny and despotism:

The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans—born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage—and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge—and more.

BTW, do you believe, as did the American Founders, "that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God"? If not then we're not even on the same page when it comes to the rights of man and the obligations we Americans have to destroy the chains of slavery when it is within our power to do so to the mutual benefit of many peoples and nations.

Polls run by the liberal media often turn out to be completely bogus because far more Democrats than Republicans get asked, polls often reflect the overwhelming media bias/narrative, and the questions are slanted or not comprehensive enough to reveal the true sentiments of Americans.

The Moriah Group poll reveals a clear majority of Americans DO NOT want a premature withdrawal and in fact want to have a clear victory in Iraq.

The The Investors Business Daily poll reflects essentially the same attitude among the majority of Americans.

"THE RICK MORAN SHOW" - WILL GO ON LIVE!

Rick, I couldn't post this on your latest post since there doesn't appear to be a comment line.

I haven't read this book, Brave New War, yet but it appears to have some interesting ideas that America must consider at some point if we are to insulate ourselves from crippling terrorist attacks: How can we defend ourselves against this pernicious new menace? "Brave New War" presents a debate-changing argument that no one who cares about national security can afford to ignore: it is time, says Robb, to decentralize all of our systems, from energy and communications to security and markets. It is time for every citizen to take personal responsibility for some aspect of state security. It is time to make our systems, and ourselves, as flexible, adaptable, and resilient as the forces that are arrayed against us.

COMING FULL CIRCLE

If every super-duper-luper terrorist fighting facility is as secure as CTU, America is in a boatload of crap. Here's this top secret agency that doesn't have a single Marine on guard. It looks like your average, overweight bank security drone is pulling guard duty at CTU. It thought for sure that Jack could take to two guys out guarding him ... if he had the mind to.

At least Nadia no longer has to worry about deciding between Milo and Little Ricky.
Never truer words spoken. So much for one side of the love triangle. I have a feeling Little Rick is going to saddle up his TAC unit at the warehouse and ride to the rescue back at CTU. Maybe Nadia's guarded conversation with Little Rick included a key phrase. The only real question is how many will Jack take out himself once the rescue is underway.
