ILLINOIS GOVERNOR ARRESTED TRYING TO SELL OBAMA'S SENATE SEAT

Amazing, he didn't even use nuance or sophistry to hide his intention. He just came out and said "pay me". I'm curious how much network play this is gonna get. Will olby dedicate a segment on Countdown?

DO YOU WANT BARACK OBAMA TO SUCCEED?

Tough question Rick. While I want the country to succeed, I really want obama and his friends to go down in flames. We ,of the right, need to come up with some good alternatives to the current ideas and I think some new leadership in the RNC might help. The current crop isn't coming up with much of anything.

David Hubbard.....meds man, meds. Take them like the doc said when the doc said.Your particular brand of thinking is not wanted or needed.

WILL THE HARD LEFT PUSH OBAMA OVER A CLIFF?

Watching his choices and implied choices, I'm inclined to believe he's going to try and stay more to the center. He will have to throw the hard-left a bone here and there, the question is what bone will he throw.

EMBRACE THE FUTURE

By hijacking, I don't mean stealing the election. Jeez, with Rick's piece I would have thought that was kinda obvious.

The worry isn’t that America will change. Of course America will change. The worry is that America’s government and underlying philosophy of liberty will change. If that happens our children and grandchildren’s ability to shape the future like we are shaping it now will be forever lost to tyranny.

Kind of what I mean. Thanks Pliny, well said.

You have an optimism to you Rick that I do not. I just don't see how we can stop the left from hijacking the country. A gov't controlled by the left can do as it pleases with little regard to my own personal ideas about America. A left house, a left senate, a left president and a left judiciary is free to do whatever pops into their head and who could stop them. We will have to endure it for at least 2 years and then hope the people recognize the problems and voice their displeasure in the voting booth. I'm not afraid of change, just the change the left wants, its a change that does not warm me to tomorow.

SHARP LEFT TURN AHEAD

We should consider finding ways to fight all of them as they promise to remake America in ways the Founders never intended.

That is the crux of the problem as I see it. The left will control everything. So, short of taking up arms, how can we fight them in any meaningful way? I really have no idea...

'WE DIDN'T KNOW" WILL NOT BE AN ACCEPTED EXCUSE

I really hope this piece does not become some form of prophecy. But, I fear that it is a harbinger of things to come. I have zero hope for an obama presidency (Ironic isn't it?) A liberal gov't lacking any judicial or legislative checks and balances is the death knell for the fundamental way America runs. We cannot become something contrary to our basic tenets, if we do, then what have we become? Certainly not America anymore. I'm not sure what worries me more for Tuesday, a McCain win or an obama win. One means a slow slide toward socialism, the other means possible riots or deadlocked gov't.

IS JOE THE PLUMBER FAIR GAME?

It is a sad state of affairs that we find ourselves in today. Now we have to vet people in a rope line. More and more people are being disuaded from participating in the politic process. But it seems the left likes it that way, they want us stupid and passive and disenrolled in the whole decision making aparatus. They know whats best for us and they will care for us, like the mindless little hicks they believe us to be. If you step out of line...well...look at what they did to "Joe the Plumber". Who needs a Dept of Truth or Though Police when you have the MSM and leftwing blogoshpere.

TIME TO FORGET MCCAIN AND FIGHT FOR THE FILIBUSTER IN THE SENATE

I think this is more than simply an “agree to disagree” issue. You made a comment about Obama supporters and I’m taking issue with that. If I call you an idiot, you might be offended (rightly so).

As I said, that is your right.

You are of course entitled to your opinion, I have stated mine. If his ideas trip your particular trigger then great for you. Being retired Army, socialized medicine makes me wanna be sick.Which is really ironic I suppose. But as I said, people I have talked to aren't interested in his policies. They are voting for him because, he's cool, he's not Bush, he's not a republican, he's black, he's young, he's about change and hope. None of those strike as an issue of any real importance. So, if you disagree with my own very unscientific analysis then fine, its still a free country.
