EXPLOITING TAXPAYER RAGE NOT THE WAY BACK FOR GOP

Bipartisanship =

Conservative Captiulation to the liberal establishment.

And should we note, Rick, that your ad block contains "American Tea Party" ads? (Chuckle) I know, I know... just sorta struck me as funny is all.

I would point to what I would consider mistake in the judgement of history; the last populist in our lifetimes that had any degree of success would ahve been that ittle fireplug from Texas, Ross Perot.

That point aside, I suggest that the anger is out there. Any winning strategy is going to have to include dealing with if effectively. There’s two ways Republicans can be in front of this crowd… leading it as a parade, or running from the angry mob they’re becoming. I warn you, the latter option is not a winning strategy.

IS CONSERVATISM REALLY DEAD?

It is this schizophrenia that has marked the skein of conservatism from Taft to Bush; people actually want government to do for them, just not everyone else.

It's my view that the current administration will cure everyone involved of that desire. Particularly if they manage to pass this "stimulus" bill.

As I said recently elsewhere, Ronald Reagan, good as he was, only managed to make it into the White House because of the walking disaster the Jimmy Carter turned out to be. Put another way, conservatism of itself doesn't sell very well, until you see the results of liberalism.

GINGRICH SEES THE PROBLEMS BUT WHERE ARE THE SOLUTIONS?

Gingrich and Stevenson are similar in that they could mesmerize an audience with their brilliance but when it came to offering solutions to the problems they so exquisitely described, they were already on to talking about the next problem that needed addressing. Such men do not make good executives which is why any talk of Newt in 2012 scares me.

It would me, too, if I thought for a moment that:

1: It was the task of government to fix most of the problems he cites

2: That he wouldn't bring with him a brain trust that included people who actually fix things, and fill his administration with them.

Neither of these two points should be minimized.

Most of the issues I've heard him address involve the over-extension of government, the solution of which seems simple enough as Ronald Reagan found; Get government out of the way. It doesn't take a master planner to accomplish that. the exact huts and bolts are best left to the feild op once the general params are laid out.

I would remind the reader that's exactly what Reagan did; He simply laid down basic operational ideas and let his people do their job within those boundries... no micromanager, he. And yet, can anyone suggest he was anything but wildly successful?

PRESIDENT OBAMA HATES WHITE PEOPLE AND WANTS THEM TO DIE

As one of my readers suggested;

How is it that 2 million Obama supporters get into Washington DC in sub-zero temps in 1 day when 200,000 couldn’t get out of New Orleans at 85 degrees with four days notice?

A SHORT NOTE ON THE DEMISE OF THE PJ MEDIA AD NETWORK

The issue, of course is the rate at which Blogging is changing, and that is mostly a question of technology driving that change. Irony; The Dinosaur media is finding that out as well, and the market share they're losing, they've lost for similar, if not exactly the same reasons;

It's a bear trying to build a business model around a moving target, particularly a rapidly moving one.
