I didn't say squat about whether the device was crude. Re-read what I said:
ignore the ‘analyses’ that say “homemade†explosives
The explosive, not the device. Different issues. And ultimately, not especially imporant in terms of how deadly the terrorists might be. Hamas bombs are crude, in terms of their explosives and the detonators.

Do yourself a favour and ignore the 'analyses' that say "homemade" explosives mean the terrorists are unsophisticated. Read up on Ramzi Yousef.
