Lunacy? Probably.
If I understand the first three of your ID properly, we need to respect the Constitution. If America wants to go lunatic, they've go the right. That's what we swore to so long ago.
However, if all three branches of the government violate the Constitution......well.....weren't we supposed to defend it against ALL enemies? Foreign AND domestic?
The checks and balances have worked rather well these last 200+ years. But that doesn't mean they cannot be suborned.
On the other hand, if the election is rank with voter fraud getting a man into the Oval Office, then we have what amounts to a VERY interesting Constitutional Crisis. And I would wait on the Congress and the Supreme Court to rule before taking extreme umbrage. And I would counsel all my comrades-in-arms to hold their horses.

....to your opinion. But my 'observations' are based on just 3 weeks under 58 years of experience. That includes beginning in debate in the late 1960s and keeping up with politics and history since then.
