Small point Rick, but the scene you are describing was with Amy Madigan not Patricia Heaton.
We can "discuss" accuracy about the film until the cows come home. I'm sure that's probably ALL some people want to talk about. Myself...I want to discuss the brazen and thuggish attempt at government censorship contemplated by some in Congress. That is the real story here. While it is not that surprising that they would do that, it is stunning how brazen they've become and how utterly contemptuous they are of our constitution.
In a few days, this movie will probably be mostly forgotten. I hope sincerely, that NOBODY forgets what was done to try to stop it from seeing the light of day.
In the end, they trotted out their "expert" Richard Clarke to get in his dig at the film. I really don't recall Michael Moore allowing anyone 10 minutes to rebut his "documentary"

I don't know what to make of this yet. It does strike me as an ENORMOUS conflict of interest in the very least. There also seems to be a pattern emerging in another case involving another group before her court as a plaintiff. Is there anything to this?

Anybody seen the newest from our friend Hajj in the NYTimes? This one is so full of mistakes, I don’t know where to start, but judge for yourself and see if you agree with me.
1. I’m sorry, but the guy on the stretcher looks like a cardboard cutout! His head is not resting on the “stretcher†and how is his weight being shown by those who are supposedly carrying him? Especially the hands in front…he’s carrying the stretcher with one hand? BS! I looked at the wall behind his hands and the stretcher is not resting on that either.
2. The whole thing is as fake as hell! What they are carrying him on looks like paper and on which there is not even a fraction of the weight necessary to make this believable.
3. Now look at the guy standing behind the “victim’s†head. He is not even looking at the victim, is WAY out of proportion to the victim…and if you look really closely you see that he has no legs!!!
This one is TOAST as far as I’m concerned! Been a photographer for about 30 years and this is another sloppy fraud!!! Nice going Reuters, Hajj, Keller and the NYT! Doh!

Higher and higher union dues go to pay for more and more political action committee BS that make the unions even more powerful. This is no different. The unions won this round. The losers?...thousands of job seekers who really want to work or NEED to work. So what is all the celebrating about? Who wins in this situation? The city councilmen really need to ask their consituents and stop acting as if they cannot be held to account for their votes. They don't have the foggiest idea what we voters REALLY want.

Mickie Spillane typed with the forefingers of both hands only on a manual Smith Corona. I sure don't think he minded using the afore mentioned "words". Newsmax has a great article on his life, career, death yesterday at 88.
He was an unapologetic hard-boiled political conservative and unafraid to use colorful language and explicit violence in his writings. He was not popular among critics except other mystery/detective writers. I had to wonder while reading the article just what he would of thought of the FBI investigating the shooting of a book (Koran) as a hate crime. I guess we don't live in that kind of world anymore. Does anybody see it getting better or worse?
