favorite moment, again delivered by chloe: frowning into her laptop, furiously pounding away on the keyboard, barely looks away and picks up her phazer and zaps the dude and keeps on going. later in the show she does it again without missing a beat with her task. i love the weekly chloe-isms.

when seeing mr. big and his group of men i was prompted to think of the very real world bank organization and the trilateral commission. there's no inkling that they are planning to hack into the global banking/stock market systems which would give them the power and money they need for control.
there's a definite horserace going on between chloe and the sleazy sniveling miles. chloe will 'take him out' in the end, but it's an enjoyable game of cat and mouse. (what are you miles, a man or a mouse? squeak up.)
thankfully karen is catching on and martha is rising to the occasion, overcoming her infirmities. it's great to see the women joining chloe (and audrey?) in the heroism---behind every great jack bauer there's good women---Ha! :-)
i'm also wondering if heller is really dead, too.
great show last night with nary a reason to disappoint. what a great way to take your mind off your troubles for a little while every week. more shows should have such great writing. and i like to think that there are some real unsung heroes like jack bauer and bill and chloe, michelle, and tony working to keep us safe every day.

Wow.
i was so bummed when carl got taken out. i knew they were going to do it, but wish they hadn't. i hope they bring back buchanan. martha and logan kissing gave me the creeps. there is not one thing romantic about the guy on or off stage. blech. man, is he gonna get it from martha when she finds out about his treasonous ways! and once again, in the shootout, jack showed us what a superb shot he is. i hate it when the characters just blast away and miss when they shouldn't for all the rounds they spend. jack makes every one count.
i will be interested in the development of logan's reasons for the plot. taking over the entire country isn't plausible; sort of like pinky and the brain. calling for marshall law in one city isn't enough to pull it off. he must have other reasons. i still want to know who the woman is bierko talked to on the phone. martha? audrey? henderson's wife? hummmm...
how did the satellite know which car was audrey's??? was her's the only car on that road???? i didn't get that.great show last night!

i wasn't suprised at logan's involvement. (take eddie haskell and times him by 5.) where his wife stands is a point of interest, though i think evelyn would tend to know if she was in on it somehow. they haven't had a chance to question evelyn yet. maybe mrs. president's 'illness' has been a cover for her plotting. remember we still have an unknown woman on a phone call. she also looked suspicious when she asked evelyn if she had her id papers and said good night to her. she would also know that evelyn has a daughter and have enough information about their daily goings on to set up how and where to kidnap amy.
i'm curious as to logan's motives. and as far as his portraying wimpiness vs the sterness we saw last night??? i don't question that at all. look how long we've lived with bill clinton, who can turn it on and off at a whim to suit his purposes. (i feel your pain. . . blah, blah, blah. . .) manipulative, ambitious, deceitful such as clinton and logan do what they have to to get what they want.
i hope chloe or audrey or jack get to buchanan and clarify things for him so he isn't left hanging from the perceived betrayal. my thinking is that maybe now that he's out of ctu he will be available to help jack. i hope so, he's one of my favorite characters, mr. all american boy.
THANKS RICK FOR BLOGGING A SUMMARY!!!! right when it was getting juicy the tv screen went totally white---AAAAAAAAARGH! i was freaking out, but in my raging disappointment, was soon remembering that you would fill me in if the tv didn't come back on. whew! it did come back on but it cut out a chunk that i was able to read about this morning.

i knew it! i knew it! audrey had a thing with walt! and i agree--i'm not satisfied that she's in the clear. something is niggling at me, but i can't imagine why she would buy into the terrorist plot. jack was cooking last night. the way they added sherry was great. we knew that something was wrong with her and they toyed with us, possibly a mole or something to do with the terrorist plot? but no, just incredibly "wrong" where men are concerned. at the end of every show i think, do i really want to watch the previews or do i want to leave myself hanging in suspense without clues until the next show?? sometimes i think they should really deal us a good one and not have previews. ha!

when the pda burned up the thought occured to me that if they kill jack off it could be theo who does him in. he's not going to forget or forgive what jack did to him and after jack survives everything else theo will show up and take him out.
and i'm very curious about what wayne palmer has in his hot little hands. and the veep is very odd looking. i have always thought so and his receding hairline makes him a bit more so. his looks suit his character.
if audrey cooperated with the terrorists my first thought was that they are threatening her with something, maybe taking out her dad. or, she's had an affair with someone in the administration who is also in on it. (walt? the veep????. . .) or does she want to get back at jack?

i've realized one of the reasons the show has at times seemed to be slow is all the %$#@ commercials!!! that's happening more and more often in television and because i don't have tivo i have to deal with them. am i right in my observation???
i also realize i was in denial about the show killing off tony. i knew deep down inside that it would be him. i'm sorry that it is so. i thought that jack's holding tony while he died was a powerful moment. and i thought kim was nothing but a total brat, breakdown and suicidal thoughts no excuse. glad she's gone.
instead of killing off jack i would want them to do one more season at least and do the jason bourne thing. it's the next logical step. it drives me crazy that he has to continually prove himself and his motives to people who should have every reason to believe in him. he's not that hard to understand. i don't see him as a true tragic figure. he is more done to rather than doing himself in, which is what real tragedy is. he's not destroying himself, others are trying to do that for him.
chloe was cooking last night with the one liners. i loved it when she said, "ok, i'll get back to work," snapping out of her stupor.

my favorite scene: when jack was about to enter ctu and he stopped and looked over his shoulder at the 2 american flags waving in the sunlight across the way. it again established his committment to the usa and contrasted the right vs. the weak-kneed left's positions concerning terrorism.
who's the woman bierko was talking to on the phone? could it be miriam, or maybe martha's aide, or have we met her yet??
any guesses who will bite the dust, re: preview for next week?? maybe buchanan and then chloe, or even jack, takes over ctu?? and what would happen if it was chloe??? that would stun us all.
martha seems to be getting stronger rather than wimping out with her nervous condition. what in the world made her go for that wimp of a president when she seems to be a woman of great character. ugh! the president was cast well; even his face is weasely looking. i'd love to see martha and aaron walk away together into the sunset. oh my. . .
i again am enjoying the development of the plot that seems a little more dimensional than previous ones. it's more than jack just blasting every bad guy to keep the action going.

one thing that bothers me, no, drives me crazy, in action shows is when the heroes particularly, blast away with their guns at nothing or waste ammo hitting nothing or very little!! i hate it when that happens. the thing about jack bauer is he makes his shots count. nathanson's blasting away and jack comes around the corner and pops both guys with 2 shots. that doesn't happen very often in tv, movies or video games. blasting away using up your ammo is stupid.
again last night jack had to go off on his own when he has proved time and time and time again that he is nothing but loyal and willing to do anything, including die, for his country and the situation at hand. but noooooo, he's being hauled into custody AGAIN. sheesh.
i'm thinking that novik will feel he has to stick it out because he doesn't dare leave the country in logan's charge. he and aaron are the 2 who see what's really going on and are going to do the right thing in the end.
and as for martha, wouldn't you be a little neurotic being married to such a wimp? she's pulling herself together to do the right thing with aaron and novik. (we haven't yet met anyone else in the DoD to suspect. don't know where this came from but could aaron have 'helped' in walt's demise??? hmmmmm. . .)
