"NEVER SAY NEVER"...WELL, OKAY. BUT THE GOP IS TOAST

OK, Bruce,
so while the left claims what a wonderful job Bubba did with the economy and unemployment, you chose not to give President Bush the same credit. So be it.

"how many non-illegals want to scrub chemical vats and work 12 shifts in a slaugher house"

Well, gee, perhaps you should go to norhtwest Arkansas and talk to the people there who worked for Tyson, Bruce's and all the other poultry plants. They worked there, their fathers worked there, and their grandfathers worked there. Now they are unemployed. They were put out of work by an industry that not only hired illegals, but sent people to Mexico to recruit illegals. Middle American families who worked in slaughter houses, raising their families on those jobs. So obviously, there were Americans who worked in those jobs and you didn't know it. Now, those same Americans are on the unemployment
dole.
So now you want Repubicans out on their arses. OK. You really think the party of appeasment will do any better? If you do, perhaps it is better you are not in the U.S. any longer.

Bruce, excuse me if I worry about what is going on in the United States before I worry about all those nations you listed. And as far as us not being liked by other nations, it never seems to be a problem when they need our money, now does it?
Let me see:
Unemployment at 4.7%
Stock market at all time highs
National deficit coming down like the walls of Jerico
Minority business and home ownership at all time highs
Education gap between minorities and whites narrowing

All this in spite of the fact that we must educate those who have no legal right in this nation and in their own language or pay for their medical care not to mention all the other social services. Think what the unemployment rate would be if we did not factor in the illegal base.
And since two Americans just won Nobel Peace Prizes in science, I guess the evangelical base has not stifled research all that much.
Hitler didn't like us much but that didn't stop us from kicking his tail but since you are so worried about us being liked, I would suggest you go visit Kim Jong Il and Almondjoyjihad and convince them what nice people we really are. And think of the frequent flyer miles you will rack up.

I love it how all those pollsters think that the American voter is sooooo stupid that they will turn their backs on the party that they have rallied around because of one slug in their company. They really believe that a voter in Illinois who hates everything thing the left stands for will now vote for the left because of Mark Foley and the betrayal of Republican values. But of course, if the pollsters and the MSM keep telling conservatives they are going to lose long enough, maybe some of them will decide to stay home on election day because since conservatives are going to lose anyway, what's the point in voting.
How stupid do you think American voters are? What has Mark Foley got to do with my local congressman? What has Mark Foley got to do with jobs in my district? What has Mark Foley got to do with the taxes I pay? Nothing.
News Flash.....because of one slug in the House it doesn't mean that conservative voters are a) going to stay and home and not vote or b) vote for someone who is their polar opposite on the issues.
If anything, I see a hugh push in the last two weeks before the elections and it won't be coming from the left. If you think that the Republicans use fear, you may be right. The fear of Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is a great reason to get out the vote for conservatives.

IRAQ: QUIT OR COMMIT

Jazz, excuse me? You said that when we are acting as if we were already at war with someone that involves either invading them, having them invade us or fighting them on someone else's property. Well, gee, that gives you a pretty wide berth, doesn't it. Talk about steel trap minds. You seem to set the bar. We were in a cold war for years with Russia, yet we never invaded them nor did they invade us, but then you can always throw back the old Vietnam carnard. Never mind that you can impose sanctions, block their financial ability to fund their war mongering and deal with them on a political/world wide basis.
You say calling them Islamonazis paint a whole segment of people. You say there are only a few thousand out of a billion Muslims that want to harm us. Perhaps you have just ignored the experts (who are Muslims themselves) who say that 60% of the world wide Muslim community agree with the terrorists. How do you account for that number. As we see marches in San Francisco supporting Hezbollah, where are the marches that DENOUNCE Hezbollah? You say we should deal with the terrorists on a criminal basis. That worked really well for the previous administration, didn't it?
The reason for the Jolly Jihadists? Well certainly it has to do with Isreal. It has had to do with the Jewish community since the days of Mohammed. The U.S. wasn't even a dream in the 7th century.
The number one complaint by the terrorist is that we are basically a Christian nation and if they can take down the Big Satan, then all over nations will follow giving them the Islamic world they desire.
Rightie? You cannot submit your response to me without insults? That must be part of the leftist platform, insult when at all possible.
Now for all those fine people who attend the mosque in your city and some of whom you work with, ask them this: if they had to choose between loyality to the United States and loyality to Islam, which would they chose? Ask them what they are doing, ACTIVELY DOING, to change the minds of those in their community who are against the United States, like the ones who were marching for Hezbollah. Ask them what the Quran says about Muslims who speak out against other Muslims. Ask them why Muslims are killing Muslims in Iraq. Ask them what the Quran says about infidels (which you are if you are not Muslim) and how they are to be treated. Ask them if they accept jihad in the personal sense or in the militant sense. Ask them how suicide bombers attain martyr status when the Quran strictly forbids suicide. When you get honest answers to these questions, get back to me.
And then maybe you should give up Kool-aid. It contains phenylalanine which has been found to be damaging to the brain.

Jazz, apparently your knowledge of jihad is very, very limited. Perhaps you should pick up a copy of the Quran and read it, in the literal sense. And perhaps you would also like to provide all the readers with my "laundry list" of nations that we need to invade. Dealing with a nation as if we were already at war with that nation is a hellofa lot different than invading that nation.
And since you claim that we don't defeat terrorism with armies, maybe you can provide us with your enlightened suggestions on just how we can defeat terrorism.
You seem to take offense at my term "Islamonazis". Maybe a little history lesson in how the Mufti aided and abetted the Hitler government would serve you well. Ever bother to notice how the Palestinian army marches? How about the Arab SS troops? Ever heard of them? Or the fact that Saddam's uncle fought for Hitler and Saddam was a big, big fan of Hitler's?
And while you are providing an education for all of us you could give us the terrorists specific complaints against the U.S. I would imagine it will include a "laundry list" of all the human rights violations the U.S. is guilty of (in your mind) against the Muslim world.
The terrorists understand two things: jihad (death or slavery to all infidels) and violence. Sitting around singing Kumbaya with them will only provide you with the separation of your head from your shoulders.

We have been in Iraq four years. The Islamonazis have been preparing for this movement for 1200 years. Oh, I know, the U.S. has not existed for 1200 years, but remember we ARE the Big Satan.
Pull out of Iraq and what? Then Iran, which is the major source of the insurgency and is funding it, simply walks in, takes over and we lose our strategic foothold. Iran then has a clear path to Syria and Lebanon.
Did we think this was going to be a quick war? Did we think that after four years, we would have defeated an enemy that has been waiting centuries to take us down? But with the aid of the MSM, the American people really do not understand the stakes. All they see are the body counts.
If this president has failed on anything, it is his explaination to the American people just exactly what is at stake with the WOT. For the first time, he uttered the words "Islamic fascists". We have been told how Islam really is a religion of peace. But anyone who has read the Quran and takes it's mantra literally, would understand that is wrong. Do we expect to change one billion minds because we are such nice people?
We have two choices: be in this for the long (and I do mean long) haul, or give up and give the Islamonazis another thing to claim victory over?
The president needs to make clear what a lot of bloggers have been saying, we are in the fight of our lives, the most important one in our history, and we damn well better stick to our guns. We need to show the duplicity of the left wing with their anti-war rhetoric (give me the name of one publication that explains how CodePink is a friend of Castro and has Marxist beginnings?) and start telling it like it is.
Can anyone tell us what exactly it is that the terrorist want? What are their demands? I can tell you; it is an Islamic world. The return of the 12th Iman to secure the world for Islam under Islamic law. And unless that is what we are willing to settle for, we need to wipe off our sights, keep our powder dry and treat Iran as if we were already at war with them.

BEYOND THE PALE

Having spent a number of years at a major national publication (owned by Dow Jones) I can tell you that any publication can be taken down easily.
We had a saying which went something like this: the readership is the gravy of the publication but the advertisers are the meat and potatoes.
I heard a guy on talk radio yesterday say he went to a business that provides the NYTs for it's customers so he did not have to buy it. He said he told the manager he would no longer support that business as long as they continue to provide the NYTs to it's customers. He said he made a list of all advertisers in the NYTs, went home and created a blanket letter to the advertisers stating that he would no longer buy their products as long as they advertised in the NYTs. He then created a mailing list by simply adding the name of the company to the address on his form letter and mailed them out.

This is where a publication lives; in it's advertising revenue. Without it, there is no publication. The revenue generated by subscriptions or individual sales doesn't begin to cover even the bare expenses. It is simply the gravy. And while a publication can survive without the gravy, it cannot survive without the meat and potatoes.

While writing to the editors or cancelling your subscriptions sends a message, it is a message that can be ignored. But if an advertiser realizes that it's ad money being spent at a publication will lose them money, they will drop that publication. I have seen it happen.

And don't kid yourself. The Wall Street Journal is considered a conservative publication because of it's alignment with big business but it's reporters are basically liberal. They are graudates of liberal journalism schools and they bring that "liberal" agenda with them.
Perhaps we should apply the Dan Rather rule: show your true agenda and you will be on your way to an early retirement in the suburbs of Dallas trying to hide your shame for being a partisan hack.

VENGENCE IS THE LORDS: JUSTICE IS OURS IN MOUSSAOUI CASE

While I would love nothing more than to see this slug swinging from the scaffolling, I think the jury did right. It is written in Islamic law that if you die in your bed there is no glory. It is only in martyrdom that one finds glory.
From the words of Islamic law to Big Bubba's ears.
What time is "lights out" in that prison?

IMAGE IS SUBSTANCE IN IMMIGRATION DEBATE

Rick, the one subject that is never being addressed by either side of the aisle in the matter of IL-legal immigration is the attitude of the Mexican government.
Vicente Fox refuses to refer to these citizens of his as "illegals". The Mexican government takes out full page ads in OUR newspapers touting amnesty for his citizens. And while Fox places his military on HIS southern border, he refuses to place them on his northern border to prevent HIS citizens from crossing over or jumping into the Rio Grande. One only has to look at Mexico's policy on illegals to see that it is in direct conflict with what he wants the United States policy to be.
Fox is not stupid, wait, he is dumb like a fox. He knows that the $20 billion that goes into his economy every year from money sent back to Mexico by illegals in the U.S. is the one, largest resouce for his nation, now exceeding the Mexican oil revenue. So Mexico produces brochures on how to sneak into the United States, brochures on how to collect social services once in the U.S., provides them with travel packs, refuses to cooperate on criminal background checks, on and on.
Fox is no friend to the United States. But it seems that we have a bunch of wimps in Washington that will never admit that.
The problem with illegal immigration will never be solved unless Fox does his share and that is not going to happen. Why would he want to be responsible for the lowest economic segment of his society when he can get the U.S. to do it for him?

STIRRING THE MELTING POT

The Mexican politicians campaign in the United States. Billboareds advocating the reconquista of the Southwest part of the United States show up all over California. The Mexican government takes out full page ads, spuring on the protesters. Don't we have laws against this? Don't we have laws prohibiting the interference by other nations into our public policy? The answer is yes, we do.
We are going down a dark road. We only have to look at France to see where all this will take us. We will become a nation that is no longer under the control of the rule of law, but instead, under the control of the Mexican government who will continue with the corruption aided and abetted by our own government.
Stop the social benefits, prosecute the employers, radify the 14th Amendment to not cover anchor babies and there will be a mass immigration BACK to Mexico.
And get rid of the wimps in Washington that pander to Vicente Fox and his unwanted.
