McCAIN TO BE BLINDSIDED IN NEW HAMPSHIRE ON MONDAY? (MAYBE NOT: SEE UPDATE)

A couple of years back, Sydney Schanberg of the Village Voice, a flaming liberal, wrote a take-no-prisoners article about how John Kerry totally deserted the American POWs believed to still be in NVC and Laos. And Schanberg took John McCain to the woodshed along with "reporting for duty" Kerry whose duty seemed to end when he decided to be policial.

I have followed McCain's career with interest for a long time. And in the process I have come with some points that really bother me:

McCain has never had the backing of Sam Johnson, a POW at the Hanoi Hilton at the same time McCain was there and who was a captive for almost two years longer than McCain. Johnson also disagrees with McCain's stand on the use of waterboarding (he would know) and says that our reluctance to use waterboarding, claiming the moral high ground, will not save American lives. The jihadist don't give a damn about our "moral" high ground.

McCain's years of vitriol against John Kerry only to become hard and fast friends after their joint fact finding mission on American POWs still believed to be in Southeast Asia. It was clear that with nomalization with VN, the cousin of John Kerry came out like a fat cat in a good garbage can with the building of the first deep sea port in VN. Any rational thinking person has to ask; if McCain hated Kerry so badly BEFORE their trip to Vietnam, why the change? Did Kerry take back all the things he said in the '70's that caused McCain so much grief? I don't think so.

McCain's stand on IL-legal immigrants and the fact that he has NO SUPPORT from the Tucson sector of the Border Patrol, the largest sector in the U.S. Matter of fact, the BP hates McCain probably due to the fact that McCain refused to meet with the Tucson sector when they reqested it. Seems the Senator was just too damn busy to waste time on those putting their lives on the line every day to keep out the bad guys. You also have to question McCain's dedication to fighting terroism when he had no problem allowing our southern border to remain wide open knowing that all the experts say that the southern border is a entry haven for terrorists. Not to mention McCain's amnesty partnership with one of the biggest socialists of the Democratic Party, Teddy Kennedy.

Then let's take a look at McCain's latest revelation; that he would again vote against the Bush tax cuts. His reasoning? That the spending should be cut, not the taxes on average Americans. I wonder if he realizes that not everyone marries into money like he, and his butt buddy John Kerry, did? Here is an original thought; cut spending AND taxes.

I have been blessed with the ability to be able to read people. Or maybe it is really a curse, depends on what I read about someone and I have felt for a long time that McCain is not the savior he would have us believe, but rather an opportunistic career pol like his buddy, John Kerry, who has used his military service as a slegehammer. If we are to elect someone who has suffered much for his nation, then Sam Johnson should be your man.

WHAT'S A LITTLE VOTER FRAUD AMONG FRIENDS?

It seems that a membership at Blockbuster Video is worth more than a person's vote. You cannot rent a movie without a photo I.D. even if you have already signed up for a membership. Cash a check? Show a photo I.D.

Last time I worked the polls in my Texas home town, we had five men come in to vote. Only one of them spoke English, so the one who could said he would help them vote. We asked for their voter registration cards. Nope. Driver's licenses? Nope. Addresses? Didn't know them. I ask the one English speaking what the names were and when they were not on my registration list I told them they were probably at the wrong precinct. At that point, the poll watcher from the Democratic Party came over and told me I could not deny their right to vote.
That did it for me. I said "fine, but here is how we are going to do it. They get a provisional ballot and no one and I do mean no one, can go into the voting booth with them." She told me "but, but, they don't speak English." At that time, I pulled out my little paper with the requirements for citizenship which included a working (reading and writing) knowledge of English. She backed off.
When the provisional ballots were checked for validity, not one of the five had ever registered in the state of Texas to vote. They had been told to come to our precinct to vote by someone else.
Illegal voting is a real problem in Texas. You can register to vote using nothing but a utility bill or a library card. This is just flat out wrong.

HOLY SOCKS! HE'S BAAAAACK

And the dots get bigger.

It seems Mr. Hsu, in his desire to become a top Hillary/DNC bundler, scammed Joel Rosenman and investors out of a cool $40 million causing Mr. Rosenman to inform his investors that the money is "missing". Who is Joel Rosenman? He is the promotor responsible for the Woodstock Concert during the glory days of free love, free drugs and free trips to Canada.

Now it is learned that a ear mark project for the Woodstock Museum has been submitted by (drum roll, please) Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Chuck Schumer.

Has Sandy Socks Berger been hired to flush out all the Hsu documents and stuff them in his Hsus and socks?

MORE ON THE HSU SWINDLE OF SOURCE FINANCING

Rick, don't buy this crap.

I was in the manufacture, wholesale and retail garment business for 15 years (having my own label). Any investor Hsu might have convinced would have wanted the names of the "high end" designers that Hsu would be funishing them with. High end labels do not seek third hand investors. They have banks with letters of credit that back them. They seek their own investors and there are federal laws that mandate how those investments are to be handled.
There are so many holes in this story from Rosenman I don't know where to start.

Suffice to say it is all bull.

ATTACK ON PETREAUS A SURE SIGN OF DESPERATION

This ad brings tears to my eyes. When, in our entire history, have any segment of our nation slimed our military generals? When we were losing in the Pacific front, did we hear outcrys how Eisenhower was just a puppet of the FDR administration?

We are fully aware that the Democrats on Capitol Hill are in constant contact with the scum that represents the MoveOn.org bunch. We understand that a secure and stable Iraq, leading democracy in the Middle East, is a loss for the Democrats. We get it.

But what creates such people that their own personal political agendas are more important to them that a stable Middle East? Please, someone explain that to me.

In the '50s, J. Edgar Hoover wrote a book about the communist enemies that were among us. Perhaps it is time for a re-read of his book replacing the term "communists" with "progressive" and understanding that it is not only the loss of Iraq they root for, but the entire reconstruction of our social/political structure.

How sad all this is to me.

MALKIN'S CRITICS: APPALLING INCIVILITY

I love the way you leftist snakes spew your venom toward Malkin. Where is the same for Ms. Huffington? Or Randy Rhodes?
It seems that the left cannot argue the points unless they resort to racial slurs (being the party of tolerance), demeaning a person (being the party of personal destruction) and using profanity (being the party of zero moral standards).

If you think this kind of behavior is going to endear you to average Americans in fly over country (which you cannot win elections without), you are dead wrong. What it will do is drive those voters into the "Independent" column and cost you elections as hatred is NOT an American value and as the dual coastlines become more and more radical, level headed Americans will desert you.

And none to soon, I might add.

I find it odd that while the left touts Nancy Pelosi, Italian American, as breaking the marble ceiling trying to make her a "minority" they can slander a woman who is obviously brilliant, dedicated to her family and to the plight of others, and who has done more to give an American face to those of Asian heritage than anyone else, including Norm Mineta.
Gerald Rivera is a cheap trick. While he screams how his children are being profiled for being Hispanic, he never bothers to mention that not only do his children have very few Hispanic traits (like darker skin), they are only 1/4 Hispanic since Gerald himself is only 1/2 and he married only gringas. The only thing Hispanic about Gerald's children is their last name.
MM is the face of what honest and legal immigration can contribute to our nation. She, not Gerald Rivera, broke the marble ceiling for minorities. She, not Gerald Rivera, mainstreams minorities in America.
I used to say that I only needed one channel, Fox News. But with the introduction of Gerald Rivera, et al, I have started spending more time on the internet. The news I glean from the net is cleaner, more accurate and more informative.
Fox News needs to buy Rivera's contract out and rid themselves of this blight. How many viewers are they willing to lose to promote diversity? If they really want diversity, maybe they can hire Henry Bonilla, a 100% Hispanic.

DEFINITION OF POND SCUM

Don't confuse the gay "rights" movement with anything having to do with rights. It doesn't. What it has to do with is being declared a minority, being able to force laws giving special priviledges. If you think that it has anything to do with a $255.00 Social Security death benfits, you are dead wrong.
Gays can, and do, accomplish what everyone else can with a will. A living will determines who will make your decisions for you. A standard will determines who gets your estate. And unless they are willing to determine the difference between husband and wife, there is a problem with the Social Security rules.
Let me give you an example. A wife is entitled to the largest payment from SS depending on income. If her income is less than her husbands and she will gain more from drawing against her husband's account and not her own, she can do that. But.....if she is older than he is, she cannot draw against his account until he reaches retirement age. So a woman who married someone five years older than her will have to wait five years to recieve the larger benefit. Also, I don't think a man can draw against his wife's account even if she made a larger salary and the benefits would be greater.

How would that work with a same sex couple? If one makes a larger salary, would the other one be able to draw against that account even though their own payment upon retirement would be less? When they marry, would they have to declare who is considered the wife and who is declared the husband? How would that work? In order to make it equal under the law, the husband/wife requirement for the larger SS payment would have to be eliminated and would place an even greater strain on the SS Fund.

Gay rights are already guaranteed. It the work place, when it comes to buying a house (two unmarried people can have joint ownership in a home) and many companies give domestic partner insurance benefits. Of course, domestic partnership benefits is discriminatory against straight marrieds as most of the time, the insurance company has the right to ask for a copy of their marriage license (mine did) so the straight employee is already held to a different standard than one who claims domestic partnership.

So to assume that the gay movement has anything to do with rights is wrongheaded. It has everything to do with forcing the government to give special consideration to one segment of our society just as the hate crimes did. And please, if you think hate crimes are used against everyone, please provide me with one case where a minority has been prosecuted using hate crime laws.

Mike Rogers tries to make a buck off Larry Craig:

If the left doesn't "come out" against this slug, can we paint them with the same broad brush that Rogers wants to use?

'WHERE THERE IS A MEXICAN, THERE IS MEXICO"

When I was a kid, I went to parochial schools. We had Indians (India), Polish, German, Irish (a lot of Irish) and Mexicans. We were all just kids with one common bond, our language. Now, when I go back to my old neighborhood, every sign is in Spanish. Hell, Houston has a neighborhood where all the street signs are in Vietnamese (try finding a street there).

That one common bond has faded and now we are no longer Americans. We are what ever comes first, and then Americans; like African-American, Mexican-Americans, etc.

Mr. Calderon may think that sneaking into another nation and squatting makes those squatters an extension of his nation but he has a totally different approach to the invaders of his own nation from Central America. If they are not jailed, they are rounded up by the Mexican military and shipped back across the Mexican border. Hell, Calderon is so busy shipping back Central American and South Americans, there is no military left to monitor the drug cartels as they carry their product across the Texas border.

I'm here to tell you that Texans, especially Tejanos, are getting tired of footing the bill for Calderon's unwanted. Second and third generation Tejanos who have finally managed to learn enough to get out of the barrio and become blue collar workers are being replace by illegals who undercut their wages, sometimes as much as by half. There is anger in the air and no one wants to accept the anger that is building.
