WAS THERE AN OBAMA-DALEY DEAL ON THE PRESIDENCY?
On primary night, we here in Texas were hearing of the dirty dealings of Obama campaign workers who were grabbing up the caucus packets and removing the green sheets where people signed in, during caucus, and having voters sign them at the polls. That, to those who don't know the Texas Two Step rules, is illegal.
I am not saying that these campaign workers were under the direction of Obama himself who had quit campaigning in Texas the week before, but someone from the Obama campaign needed to tell it's volunteers what the rules were. It seems that Hillary's workers didn't have that problem and were well instructed.
My 84 year old step mother, who lives near Waco, told me that when she got to the caucus that night to vote for Hillary (yeah, she's a Democrat) that she was asked who she was going to vote for by a man with an Obama pin on. She told him "none of your business" and he tried to block her way saying the caucus room was full. Twenty minutes later, when she and the rest of her blue haired friends got in the caucus room (held at the high school gym) she said all the forms signed were for Obama and they had to locate the sign in sheet for Hillary. She also told me that the gym was not full of people to the point they should have waited to get in.
There was some real shananigans going on that night. El Paso and San Antonio also reported shady tricks with the caucus green sheets. If there are not investigations into this, there should be.

When you peel an onion, what do you find? Another layer. And another, and another. Obama is like the onion, the more you peel, the more layers you find.
His meteoric rise from unknown community "organizer" to POTUS candidate is not accidental. As recently as 2005, when he first went to D.C., he stated that if he was going to run for POTUS, he would have to start then but had no plans to do so because he would not have the experience required. What changed his mind so quickly?
It would seem that with his involvement with the Daley clan, his close ties to a major fixer, Tony Rezko, and Rezko's ties to a former Baathist Iraqi who was Saddam's Oil For Food money bagman, the layers of the onion continues. Not to mention Rezko's ties to Aiham Alsammarae, who was convicted in Iraq and given a nine year sentence, only to escape an Iraqi jail and show up in Chicago.
Above politics as ususal? More like right in the middle of politicas as ususal. The Chicago way.

OBAMA CAMPAIGN AND THE WEEK FROM HELL
Rick, I am of the opinion that the Rezko trial is going to become a big deal for the Obama campaign. With Obama's NAFTA gaffes, his claim to be "open and honest" unlike any candidate before him, and no more "politics as usual", the tale of favor buying, the possibility of money from former Baathist Iraqi being poured into political campaigns from the Illinois governor to perhaps Obama himself, the questionable historic Georgian mansion deal will all play into the question "is Obama what he seems?".
And there are those of us who remember the "Arab (read Muslim) families being rounded up without the benefit of an attorney" ad that ran in Texas is also, eventually, going to surface posing more questions.Can the Obama camp prevent his dissolution into just another Chicago politician who does things the "Chicago" way?
Once that snowball starts rolling downhill, gaining size and momentum as it rolls, the Obama brick wall may not prove to be strong enough to withstand it.

Len, how about this:
McCain's father, and grandfather, served the U.S. Navy with honor all their lives. Obama's father was a womanizing drunk from Kenya.
McCain spent five years in a North Vietnames POW camp. Obama spent a few year being a "community organizer".
McCain spent the rest of his life in the service of his nation. Obama has been a U.S. senator for three years.
McCain, according to Bob Bennett, was completely innocent in the Keating 5 scandal, and Bennett, a life long Democrat, recommended that both McCain and Glenn be dropped from the investigation. McCain was raked over the coals over Keating 5. Obama hangs out with Syrian crooks funded by Iraqi crooks, and home grown terrorists like William Ayers.
McCain has fought against pork spending for his entire career. Obama will not release his pork records for the years 2005 or 2006.
Is that a start?

One other thing; one has to ask why Aiham Alsammarae, who has been sentenced in Iraq for corruption, is still allowed to roam free in Chicago.
Excellent question. There appears to be some kind of silent agreement between the US and Iraqi governments that opening up this guys case would get a lot of important people in trouble in both countries. He apparently made off with more than a half a billion in US taxpayer reconstruction funds.
He is a boyhood friend of Rezko and Obama is tangentially involved in a scam involving the building of an Iraqi power plant by Rezko and the training of power plant security guards at an abandoned military base in western Illinois.

ronalddog, I think I read somewhere (Chicago paper) that Mrs. Rezko, who bought the lot next to the Obamansion, paid $625,000.00 (full price) for the lot by putting $125,000.00 down on it when she had an income of $37,000/yr. While carried the note and what one of us could finance $500,000. on a $37K/year income? The owner of the property was initially asking $2.2 mil for both the house and the land-locked lot next to it. Obama paid $1.65 mil for the house, Mrs. Rezko paid %625K for the lot (total $2.275 Mil) and both pieces of property were closed on the same day.
I also read that Mrs. Rezko sold the property for $700,000 to pay off debts and lawyers for Tony Baby. That means that the lot, which she bought for $625K, brought her a $75K profit, AFTER she sold a ten foot strip to Obama for $125.K for a total of $800K. In just a short few years, she made a cool 32% profit in just a couple of years. Who did she sell it to?
And while Obama claims that he had his gardner mow the lawn of the lot as well as his home, Rezko coughed up $14,000.00 to fence both properties. A nice wrought iron fence.
But take a look at the other players in this: Auchi - a Syrian who had strong ties to Saddam and funneled billions of OIF money throught his bank once he established and who is now the 18th richest man in Great Britain and who was also tied to the assassination of the Iraqi president along with Saddam Hussein but was later pardoned; Aiham Alsammarae, an Iraqi who was Minister of Energy and is tied to a missing $2 BILLION in Iraq reconstruction funds, who was jailed in Iraq for his crime but managed to escape with the help of security people (Rezko owned a security firm that was trying to get a contract from Iraq to train Iraqis to secure the energy infrastructure)and paid Alsammarae a $1.5 mil kickback to secure the contract. Alsammarae has been sentenced to nine years in Iraq in absentia; and Ali Ata. Not to mention that after Rezko showed up in Chicago in the late 1970's to attent the Chicago Institute of Technology, he went to work for Crucial Concessions in 1984. Why is that important? Because Crucial Concessions is owned by Hubert Muhammad, son of Elijah Muhammad, the founder of the Nation of Islam. In William Ayers (the home grown terrorist friend of Obama's) book, he mentions that Louis Farrakhan lived in the same neighborhood as writer Barack Obama.
This corruption weaves like a spider web. Obama, Syrians, Iraqis and millions of dollars.
But the MSM, like Rick said, will not touch one hair on the head of their golden boy. Has there been any doubt that the media is in the tank for Obama and has been for a long time? And we are expected to pay for the rags they print. The least they could do is make the trash they print free.

Rick, yes, we Texans care about national security since we are on the front lines of the open borders war.
But you seem to have missed an ad that Obama ran in Texas and the Democrat friends I have did not like it one bit.
Here is a quote from that ad:"If there is an Arab American family being rounded up without the benefit of an attorney, it threatens my civil liberties."
With all the rumors of his being a Muslim (which he says he's not and I believe him), him having a Muslim name, and the number of American soldiers from Texas that have been killed by Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq, that ad did not sit well with my Democratic friends.
Now, it is true that Obama said Arab and not Muslim, but to many, they are one and the same.
And just where are these Arab families that are being rounded up? Do we have some secret internment camp outside of Cut N' Shoot, Texas? And when he is pandering in Texas, trying to garner the Hispanic vote, why would he use "Arab" instead of Hispanic (i.e. deportation)?

WHEN WILL OBAMA TALK TO THE PRESS ABOUT REZKO?
While everything is moonlight and roses during a honeymoon, that honeymoon eventually comes to an end. As the Rezko trial begins, reporters, who care more about a "scoop" and less about protecting the 'new' Messiah, will start asking the hard question about Senator Obama's past ties with not only home grown terrorists, but what was his part in the relationship between Rezko and Nadmi Auchi. Someone will start digging, wondering what the "real" history of Obama is.

CLINTON COMMERCIAL TAGGED "RACIST"
A piece written by Sean Wilentz recently appeared in the New Republic. Wilentz is no conservative, by anyone's stretch of the imagination. In the article, Wilentz claims that the "racist" hits that Hillary is taking is actually a campaign tactic of the Obama campaign. He refers to it as a campaign-within-a-campaign.
I have no person admiration for Hillary. I think she is as big a political opportunist as her husband, and just as shady. But I think she has taken an unfair amount of hits from the media, a point Wilentz makes, while the Obamassiah has been basically given a pass on everything from his "unusal" meteoric rise in politics to his association with Tony Rezko and Mike Bauer to his friendship with know terroists, William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn.
But if there is a God (and I believe there is) Tony Rezko and Patrick Fitzgerald will be Obama's Waterloo.
One other thought: why is Hillary hanging on by the skin of her teeth? Does she know something about the Rezko deal that will kill the Obamania? Has Hillary had her goons digging in trashcans again for information that will destroy the Second Coming? Why is Hillary's campaign manager asking questions now about Rezko when she has Norman Hus to her credit?
Is Humpty Dumpty about to have a great fall only to be so broken no amount of political glue can repair him?

Regarding the Northwest Ordinance:
"lands were devided into townships six miles square, nd subdivided into thirty-six sections of 640 acres each. One of these sections was to be donated for the purposes of public education.
"RELIGION, morality and knowledge being necessary to government and happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall be forever encouraged," said Congress.And to think that such an uneducated person posts on a thread about education.
