THE 'MAN ON A WHITE HORSE' SYNDROME

Wanda, how brilliant of you to be able to know if I am retired, or not, from my moniker. Bet you keep that crystal ball all shiny. But then you accepted an excuse for poor local services from some political hack claiming it was the administration's fault. Do you even know who is responsible for the expenditures in your locality? Who pays for the police, fire department, roads, bridges, etc? Check your crystal ball and see if you can find the answer.

Surabaya, I see the comparison was totally lost on you. Why am I not surprised? I also pointed out the phenomemon that was Jim Jones, as well. It is not my fault you cannot disguish between policy and style. Throughout the ages, great orators have held sway with the common folk. In most cases, it has proved to be disasterous. That was my point that seems to elude you.

Drong: what you see at Obama rallies are thousands of people hearing what they WANT to hear. Obama has mastered the art of telling people what they, personally, want to hear while he really says nothing. That, in it's finest form, is marketing.

What is Obama going to change? Will he have control over Congress, who holds the purse strings? Will he have control over corporations? While he may want to put caps on the salaries of CEOs, is that really his place as POTUS? Do you want the government to tell you how much you can earn?

You say the Obama supporters want something different. Yes, and that something is different to each and every person that listens to him. To one, it is job security. To another, it is access to cheap higher education. To another, it is a greater welfare check. That is the beauty of the Obama myth; he is all things while he is really nothing.

There have been times when I have not agreed with Rick and he will be the first to tell you that. But for you kids who don't remember other times, I will tell you that he is dead on with this entry.

Perhaps you could tune into the History Channel (I call it the Hitler Channel due to their programing) and watch some films from 1938 Germany. Now I know all you "independents" will have your Hanes in a wad over the Nazi reference, but there is no mistaking the same frienzy in the Obama crowds as there were when Hitler spoke to the great unwashed masses. Fortunately for his readers, Rick is too polite to point this similarity out.

The fainting women, the men shouting to the tops of their lungs, holding up their children in the remote case that their leader just might smile on their child. Their leader telling them that their nation is in dire straits but he, and only he, can lead them out of the darkness. Better jobs, better roads, restoration of world respect and a prosperity never known before. Children will all be educated and in return, will donate time to the betterment of their nation. The leader's logo being held up by adoring citizens who were being given hope that they, once again, would belong to the greatest nation on earth.

If you think I was talking about the atmosphere in 1936-38 Germany, you would be wrong. I was talking about the children who are fawning over the Pied Piper of Chicago.

How many times have you asked yourself "what the hell is wrong with those kids" when they were screaming over the flaver of the year; Sinatra, Elvis, the Beetles? But can see no problem with throngs of humanity doing the same over a politican. We asked, when the concentration camps were discovered "How could this happen?" We asked when the Jonestown suicides were found, "How could this happen?" I read that all fiction is based in real events. Is Obama our 21st century Pied Piper?

"Hope" and "change" are nothing, except for what each individual deems it to be. It is the hope and change, not that we as a nation seek, but what you, as a American citizen, perceives it to be. There is the beauty of Obama. He does't tell you anything but sets the tone that you believe he represents what you want him to.

Marketing is everything, as Rick pointed out with John Kennedy, and with great marketing, you can convince people that pies made from cow manure is a benefit to all humanity. The Beetles knew this, Kennedy knew this, and every bad acting Hollywood type knows this. Doris Day had a horrible personal life but she was everyone's "girl next door" and represented the best of American womanhood of the time. Obama is a marketing miracle that only comes along once in a generation. He is the Camels and Lucky Strikes of our day.

Is he dangerous? Yes, but not for the reason that you think I will say. Because he cannot be all that he represents as every person who supports him view him as something different. White Americans who support Obama will, as great black American writers have said, will feel absolved of the sin of slavery if Obama is elected. (read Shelby Steele) Black Americans who support Obama believe that all vestiges of discrimination will suddenly disappear and the playing field will finally be leveled in January, 2009. Both will be severly disappointed.

One other thing I would like to point out about Senator Obama. Like all marketing miracles, he is a myth. But a myth that seems to have no qualms lying to the masses when it is political expendient. Claiming to be a product of the protests of Selma, when he was born four years earlier, and his father a product of the generosity of the Kennedy's when his father came to the U.S. prior to the "education air life" of the Kennedy's was just the beginning. You see, you cannot really tell the public what the produce truely is, or they won't buy it.

So kudo's to Rick for this entry.

MORE WHINING FROM OBAMA

While the entire Democratic Party is having an euphoric orgasim, I would like to point out two things about the recent Mississippi election:

One: the Democratic candidate ran as a blue dog. Pro 2nd Amendment, anti-abortion.

Second: The political scene in Mississippi has changed. There are a lot of new voters in Mississipp from (tah-dah) Louisiana and the New Orleans area. These Louisiana voters went to Mississippi right after Katrina and have stayed there. The balance has changed. But no one wants to talk about that.

And let's not forget the "race" card that was played the day before the election with the Ms. DP running an ad that the Republican candidate wanted to put up a statue of the founder of the KKK.

Dirty politics? Yeah, on the Democratic side.

Good luck depositing all that hope in your bank account. As for the change, that is all you will have left when the Democrats enact their "fair" tax systems.

When the NYTs was pimping for McCain, I warned it would be a short lived business deal. So while the media seem to have this short termed love affair with McCain, we can thank them for picking our GOP candidate for us. Perhaps the MSM should have asked what the down side of a "maverick" really is. A "maverick" is an out of control cow that eventually has to be put down or you keep repairing fences. Sound familiar?

Now the media is pimping for Mr. Socialist. No surprise there that they would want someone whose faith is based in South American Marxism with a few Biblical passages thrown in for good measure. It's a two pronged fork; you get the socialist and the faux Christians to vote for you and wholla, you got the man you have been waiting for.

McCain is not a whiner. He rarely talks about his captive days or the hardships he endured at the hands of our enemies. In other words, he is an adult who is running for the highest office in the land. But Barry (as his angry wife has eluded to) lowered the bar. Question his pastor; you're a racist. Question his terrorist associates; you're a racist. Question his lack of experience; you're a racist. Question his senate record; you're a racist.

NEWS FLASH, SENATOR OBAMA: "Vote for me because the GOP is picking on me" is not a great campaign slogan.

WHEN WILL OBAMA RESPOND TO 'APPEASEMENT' CHARGE?

still liberal, perhaps you have forgotten that Joseph Kennedy, while Ambassador to Great Britian, was such a Hitler supporter that the British kicked him out?

yep, that was Tubby Teddy's dad.

When you throw a rock over the fence, the dog that howls is the one that got hit by the rock. Seems that the Democrats, who jumped up and said "how dare the President say that" were responding to what they know to be true, they would sell this nation down the river with their "peace at any price" policies.

While Obama tries to distance himself from the endorsement of a leading Hamas official, and feign his indignation of the "perceived" insult lobbed at him by President Bush, Obama quietly (secretly) meets with the leading Michigan Imam, Hassan Qawini.

Who is Qawini, you ask?

He is the Imam of Michigan's (and America's) largest mosque who while denouncing the actions of the 19 highjackers has invited Louis Farrakhan to speak at the mosque and called Farrakhan a "brother" and a "freedom fighter". His mosque has held support rallies for Hezbollah and he remains in contact with Hezbollah spriritual leader Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadllah who issued the fatwa that brought about the bombing of the Marine barracks, killing over 300 U.S. Marines and also the bombing of the U.S. embassy that killed many civilians.

Qawini is an Iraqi who claims to have fled Saddam's evil regiem (yet his father, also an imam, remained) went to Iran and adopted the "12th Imam" religious beliefs that Amjustajollyjihad shares. Qawini has also written a book, American Crecent, explaining how Muslims in America should adhere to their faith in their new nation and also how America will benefit greatly from Islam. It should be no shock to anyone that Qawini's book was recently reviewed in the NYTs. BY OBAMA'S GOOD FRIEND, RASHID KHALIDI.

Qawini requested a meeting with Obama but was not on the short list (20) of those who were scheduled to meet with Obama. Instead, the Obama campaign made arrangements for Qawini to meet "privately" with Senator Obama.

I don't remember Obama requesting a private audience with the Pope on the Pope's recent visit to the U.S. considering the number of Catholics in the United States.

AREN'T THERE ANY GROWN UPS IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY?

pug, you Democrats have been trying to "cut and run" since the Democratic convention in 1864 when the Democrats wanted to negotiate with the Confederacy and let them a) leave the union and b) preserved slavery.

And what is this fixation you lefties have with Alfred E. Newman? Or is it just your obsession with fictional characters. Too bad you don't have any real life heroes to look up to.

To quote Mitt Romney: "when you throw a rock over the fence, the dog that howls is the one that got hit". Or something to that affect.

Obama is a total pansy and those who back him are no more than children following the Pied Piper of Chicago. He is clueless about foreign policy thinking that a three week stint to a foreign nation while in college makes him Winston Churchill. But as Juan Williams said "you can't question Obama on Rev. Wright. You can't question Obama about his shady friends like William Ayers or Tony Rezko. You can't question Obama about his policies. If you do, you will be labeled a racist pig".

Or something like that.
