Okay Rick, if you say Reid said it and he confirmed he said it I believe you. But, like rightwing-nut-jobs--nutroots hear what they want to hear and dismiss off color remarks by there own as throw aways between friends. It doesn't necessarily follow that they are lying or deliberately trying to deceive.
The same is true of you and tribe. Like dogs that catch Frisbees you wait crouched for the Frisbee to be thrown, i.e. a liberal to say something--anything, and you chase it hoping to catch it in mid-air and bring it back trotting to your master.
Just remember it H.R. McMaster that wrote "Dereliction of Duty" and when history settles down it will be as poignant of Iraq as it was of Viet Nam.

Right, the US (Bush admin.) has been threatening to overthrow the Iranian government for years now. Iraq was to be just the first step in the neocon Middle Eastern Utopia and then on to Iran and Syria. The US government is backing terrorist organizations to destabilize the Iranian government, just like they accuse Iran of supporting Hezbollah, and you think they should just sit there and take it. Right?
Did you ever think of showing a democratically elected government some respect? Maybe some diplomacy first before we start bombing would be a good idea. You know, so we don’t wind up with two Iraqs…

You left one event out of your account of the Comey testimony. That is, the day after the scene at the hospital and the subsequent meeting in Cards office. Comey received a letter saying that the NSA program had been approved without his consent. And that is when—even after the WH had been notified that the program as existed was illegal—that Comey decided to tender his resignation. Not a minor point.
And speaking of being paranoid, you may fall into that category on the subject of impeachment. The Dems are not going to impeach commander koocoobananas, they are going to ride that pony right up to Nov. 08.
p.s. I’m sure you will, in you commentary, be as deferential to President Hillary when she has the secret wire-tapping program at her disposal. You will not accuse her of any improper use until you have proof positive. Right?

Both you and Mort don’t know what you are talking about. The whole Sunni-Shia civil war thing is a myth. The real fight is between Iraqis and the foreign occupation and a minority of collaborators. The two groups can be described as Iraqi nationalists, who are Sunni, Shia and Kurds and Iraqi separatists, who are also Sunni, Shia and Kurds which are backed by the US. The separatists want the occupation to continue, they want to privatize Iraq’s oil and break the country in to three states or regions. While the majority of Iraqis are nationalists, they want to keep Iraq’s oil nationalized, keep the country unified and an end to the occupation. All of these predictions of genocide slaughter are all ready happening because of the occupation not despite it.
The only way to stop the violence in Iraq is a complete and immediate US withdrawal without permanent bases. The Bush administration, Republicans and Democrats either don’t understand what is going on or are lying about it. The big story in Iraq these days is the new oil law which no one is talking about in the press, but the law is designed to encourage the break-up of Iraq and is written by western oil companies. If you want the real picture of what is happening in Iraq listen to what a real Iraqi has to say:
