HOWARD KURTZ IS A GOOSE

Rick,

Liberal arguments about various issues are seldom on point, usually involve the word "feelings", and are invariably so circumspect that they resemble "snow" on your television when the cable goes off for the ninth time. I stopped reading Kurtz and his ilk a long time ago. There is no parallel here, "interesting" or otherwise. What is interesting is how far Kurtz will go to find, in his opinion, an "interesting parallel." He probably spent hours trying to find this kind of b.s. to put in the column.

P.S.
One of my brothers is capable of getting on my last good nerve in about 30 seconds. However, you mess with him or any member of my family, and bad things are going to happen to you. I'm not a great fan of Terry, although I watch Nightline every night, usually while yellng and throwing things at the t.v. But his comments about you as his brother are admirable, as far as I am concerned. Family counts big time IMHO. Just sayin.

HILLARY'S SCORCHED EARTH CAMPAIGN

Whooops, hit the wrong button at the wrong time, and don't have time to do the fix. Sorry.

GOP GAMING THE DEMOCRATS

#9
What exactly is a chee-toh?

Rick, some of us are gaming the system. We may be dumber than bricks here in Texas, but the state wasn't run for 50 years by the Democrats without our having learned a few things about politics. A bunch of Republicans crossed over and voted for Hillary because we believe her incredibly high negatives may make her easier to deal with in the general election. I know a number of people who did so. None of them crossed over because Rush suggested it. The MSM wants so badly to believe that the folks on the Right are morons who will blindly follow suggestions of right-wing radio, no matter what. Wrong! I am at work when Rush is on, but I haven't really listened to him in years, although he is right on a lot of the time.
The Dems are where they are because they think they are the annointed, and when they lose, its always because someone cheated, or was disenfranchised. They never, never have lost an election because more people simply voted Republican, and they can't stand it when the country doesn't fall mindlessly into their rapsodic chants for "fairness"
and "diversity." So they try to structure systems in ways that will allow them to come out on top, no matter what the circumstance. Did no one in the Democrat party see a red flag when states as large as Michigan and Florida were told their votes would not count? Of course they did, but they never thought Obama would be where he is today, and now they are hoisted on their own petard.
You are right, this business is serious, and for keeps. But pardon me if I smile a little bit when I see what is going on now.

STILL AT RISK: THE SHOCKING IGNORANCE OF OUR YOUNG

Rick:
Excellent post. IMHO, reading is the key to all learning. Show me a child who can read well, and I will generally show you an excellent student. (Generally, I said.) If you can read, education is just a matter of application.
Any time you want to do another post about this subject, I will read it eagerly.

Johnno:
Dude, you need to learn to proof-read. And if you are going to post comments as facts, how about supplying a link when you do so. I am specifically referring to your assertions regarding "the plain factual science of global warming", and "conservative children generally test a lot lower on apptitude (sic.) tests than the children of liberal families."
Having read your entire comment, I doubt seriously that you are a "life long right winger", however, you are certainly a prime example of your statement that "there (sic.) are not too many geniuses here."

Nutter:
Huh? It's the Bush Presidency that is to blame for children's ignorance? Why not blame the President, after all, he creats hurricanes, global warming, wars, warm beer, cars that won't start, and bad teeth. Get a life, pal.

AMATUER HOUR AT GOP WASHINGTON STATE CAUCUSES

Patriots ahead in the third quarter. Statistics say they always win the fourth quarter. No need to play any longer. Patriots win!
Actually, if Esser is any example, not sure we really want a Republican majority in Washington.
just sayin

DELEGATE MATH DOESN'T ADD UP FOR ROMNEY

You are right. McCain has it. And Hillary's getting out the vote machine is better than Obama's. It's going to be a McCain-Hillary match-up. The numbers of Dems who are voting in the primaries is scary big. They could well end up with big majorities in both the Senate, and the House. And the presidency. What Obama has done is really unbelievable. I would love to be a fly on the wall in her campaign meetings with the leaders of her campaign.

THE "STATE OF THE UNION" IS NEVER THE POINT

Since when did the fact that we don't have the money stop politicians from spending it. So if they are going to spend it anyway, i will take some of the 28% I gave them back any day.
