IS DEFINING "VICTORY" IN IRAQ AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY?

To: Rick

The problem with Conservatives is that they think that everything will be OK if all of us accepts Right Wing propaganda bull as fact. Democrats are not the problem here. Lies, stupidity, Bush, rendering, imprisonment without trials, Cheney, incompetence, torture, Rumsfeld, a detour from American ideals, talk radio, Rice, Neo-Cons, blunders, blind faith, foolishness and a disrespect for human life and dignity led us to this point. Is it still possible that we can turn this disaster into something that would be good for America and Iraq? That’s debatable but the only way this Administration will do it is to stumble and luck up into it somehow on a wing and a prayer. Imagine if a Democrat had made the mistakes Bush has. Imagine if Clinton had told us all of those falsehoods. What would all of these Bush lovers be saying? Remember Black Hawk down? In that skirmish we killed the enemy at a rate of ten to one and the Clinton haters had a hissy fit. Roughly 120 Americans died on Clinton watch due to warfare and terrorism vs. the 6,000 for Bush. What would these “reasoned and rational “ Republicans be saying? Do you think that they would give Clinton the overwhelming support that Bush received when he went into Afghanistan? They would be squealing like a stuck pig before a barbecue. We had a chance to correct some of this mess in 2004 but Republicans blocked it with more lies from the Swift Boat Vets who lie. It is time to clean your own house. Direct your anger at your own party for putting you in an indefensible position of arguing that Bush was right (but we have to wait twenty years to prove it). Unbelievable!

I don’t do spin. I also did not miss the part about Ted trying to do the same thing to Jimmy Carter. It is implicit in my words that both alleged Kennedy actions were similar to what Carter would later do to Bill Clinton. Democrats have a habit of intruding into foreign affairs for the good of the country. Unlike Republicans (Neo-Cons), when the Democrats do it they tend not the cause the country harm. Bubba did not first appreciate what Carter was up to but he soon sanctioned the efforts and the resulting deal kept nukes out of North Korea for eight years until Dubya came along. Now don’t get me wrong for I am no fan of Teddy for he can sometimes be a bumbling blow-hard, especially when it comes to agreeing with Bush’s immigration policy. The operating word is “sometimes”, as opposed to the always “on” incompetence of Republicans. They don’t like you they just want your vote. I will grant you this. I tend to be against these “free radicals”.
Open your eyes and look at the world not as a partisan but as a seeker of truth and you will not find virtue in this Republican Party. Listen to them as an independent thinker and you will hear nothing but lies coming from their power hungry aims. Republicans will tell you that the Arabs hate us because they are Islamo-Fascist even while they ignore the fact that we shot down a fully loaded civilian Iranian airliner in the eighties. It was Reagan who gave Saddam intel that filled many of the mass graves. There is much more but I’m sure you are bored with the truth. By the way did you know that the “Evil Empire” comment was in response to the USSR’s willingness to shoot down civilian airliners (KAL 007) that they deemed threatening to their State? Isn’t it funny that George W. Bush now has the same policy? In fact Bush doesn’t limit it to foreign airliners. It’s not funny. What does it make us? What would Reagan call you?

Shocking is all I can say! Ops, I lied. There’s more!
The idea that a Democrat would try to unseat a sitting Republican President is beyond the pale. But what’s more shocking is the fact that he would try to bring about a dialog between two countries at odds with one another in order to avert a thermal nuclear apocalypse. This attempt is even more unconscionable than anything anyone could have ever imagined. If this unbelievable, treason drenched Jimmy Carter like attempt (North Korea) turns out to be true then Ted should be run out of the country after he is electrocuted, shot by a firing squad and given the needle. It is almost as bad as Sean Hannity bringing pro Malosovich Serbian women to the American people’s TVs as we were at war in Kosovo. Shocking, just shocking many times over! As I searched the Internets digging for more info I found that this rumor included Ted planning to meet the Soviets with Sen. Mark Hatfield (R-Ore.) accompanying him. This is huge! Now we have Republicans and Democrats in cahoots with one another to stop a nuclear holocaust. Outrageous! First John Kerry is meeting with foreign leader as he was trying to unseat a… No, wait- according to Richard Armitage (under oath) George W. Bush first met with foreign leaders while he was a candidate in 2000, even as he was trying to unseat the Democrats. And what about all of those Neo-Cons colluding with Israeli, Australian and British big wigs while Clinton was President trying to bring peace to the Middle East (even as the Cons were trying to impeach Bubba)? There were Saudis going to Texas and then there are all of those Democrat and Republican Senators and Congressmen going to the Middle East and meeting with all sorts of leaders left and right even as they try to unseat each other. This undermining has got to stop. Mayors go to China, Governors do it, Reverends, reporters and ordinary Americans have been known to meet with foreign leaders. Why I am told that at least one American actually married a foreign leader. Shocking!
Didn’t Kennedy know that by bringing a Republican along with him would mean that his diabolical plan would be exposed were it ever implemented? Not only is he a fiend of enormous dimensions but he is stupid to boot. This is bigger than Abramoff, Foley, Scooter-gate, Cheney-gate, Tom Delay-gate, oil-gate and Iraqi-gate, Harriet Miers-gate, K-Street-gate Katrina-gate, torture-gate, detainees without trial-gate, wiretap-gate, illegal alien-gate, Schiavo-gate and every other gate combined. The next thing that will happen is Democrats will be sleeping with Republicans, dogs with cats, down the slippery slope. When will it end? We must all go out and elect more Church going Republicans to stop this madness. It’s the only way to continue the Conservative Goodness being forced on our great Nation.

CNN SEES NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US AND TERRORISTS

To: dbehsman

It is a sad day when a fellow human being is so far removed from reality that he mistakes truth with the drug-induced stupor that he is obviously more familiar with. It grieves me that I have hurt your feelings in bringing you these tidbits of sanity cold turkey style but everybody needs to grow up someday. This kind of reminds me of a movie that I once saw. One brother needs to tell the other that his new lovely tender young bride of twelve hours, that he so loves with all his heart was turning tricks just for kicks in a cross town drug flat last night. I will try to be gentle. George W. Bush is a prolific unadulterated shameless liar who stole an election, busted the U.S Budget and perpetuated falsehood piled upon incompetence that ultimately lead to the death of six thousand young and old Americans. I have never used drugs or alcohol in my life. My thoughts and mind are clear. In fact this info comes to me because I have been paying attention to what has been going on in my country for the last twenty years plus. Before you accuse someone of lying first check if they actually said what you claim. You should also try to avoid referencing God in the same paragraph that includes some of your lies. If I were to guess I’d say that you have been Hannitized. I can almost envision that blank glazed-over stare.
I don’t get the vapors when I see Bush or any other politicians. I don’t fall in love with the paid help (Presidents’ Senators and the like), especially those of male persuasion. I don’t receive talking points from anyone left, center or right and I stay away from both extremes’ punch bowls. I happened to tape some of the 911 Commission hearings and I read much of the Commission’s report. I read magazines news papers and watch cable and network information programs. I listen to, call and talk to Right Wing talk radio when they are not too afraid to get publicly embarrassed over the air as I bust their chops with a little truth.
It is clear that you at most only have a few years of adulthood under your belt and you have much to learn before you master the art of tact. Be patient grasshopper. Do your homework and you will spend less time removing your foot from your mouth! Know this, everything that I have told you is the truth. Read it a couple of times in small chunks and check it against good sources. (hint- if your source still maintains that there were WMDs when we went into Iraq then find another source). Expand your knowledge base and don’t trust strangers who send you unsolicited E-mails. Now why don’t you find your skateboard and go outside and play with some one your own age. Make sure you wear your helmet for I don’t think that you can take another blow to the head.

It is amazing what Republicans get outraged over. They were outraged when Clinton tried to kill Ben Laden and they screamed “Wag the Dog”. Bush was fraudulently inserted into the presidency in 2001 where he started energizing his now failed “Humble Foreign Policy”. He ignores Clinton’s terrorism warnings, Richard Clarke, he ignores Former US Senators Gary Hart and Warren Rudman’s report warning of the terrorist threat, ignores George Tenet running around as if his hair was on fire, ignores the chatter, goes on vacation and ignores the PDB and then goes fishing. Cheney previously had said that there would be no response to the Cole bombing upon learning that Al Qeada did it because it didn’t happen on Bush’s watch. The then Democratically controlled Senate Armed Services Committe recommended adding hundreds of million’s to anti-terrorism funding. In early September of 2001 Secretary Rumsfeld informs the Senate that he would advise the President veto this. Ashcroft later rejects Pickard's request for more anti-terrorism funding. Ben Laden soon afterwards attacks America, we let him escape from Tora Bora as we go after Saddam under false pretenses and that leads to 3000 coalition forces dying, including the one that CNN showed on tape. Do I detect misplaced outrage? 6,000 American deaths on Bush’s watch due to terrorism and an ill-advised war in Iraq and it’s the video stupid? Maybe it’s just me.

A LIBERAL MANIFESTO AND OTHER HALLOWEEN FRIGHTS

To: Rick and all

Were it not for the fact that the stakes are so high the failed attempts of Conservatives trying to think would be amusing. The fact that a number of important issues have taken a decided turn for the worst since this President has taken office is not a coincidence. It directly relates to the abilities of the party in power and its mechanisms for choosing its leaders. More on that later. It is time to dissect either a portrait in deceit or an article written from immense ignorance. Unfortunately either way this deconstruction will be insulting to the author I am responding to but I can only critique the essay as it exists before me.
The referred to “unnecessary enemies” are all of the individuals around the world that now look at America with disdain. The first WTC bombing was born not from a Country but from individuals who hated our actions in the Middle East and elsewhere. Prior to that attack Republican Administrations backed a coup in Iran, Backed the murderer Saddam, shot down an Iranian civilian airliner, attacked Saddam after all but telling him that we were not interested in what he planned for Kuwait and then we put G.I. boots on Saudi soil. All through this James Baker has repeatedly and openly told the Saudis (our eternal friends) that we will protect our oil interests over and above their sovereignty. I know of no Arab who appreciated all of this and more. They hate us because of our support for Israel but they hate us mostly because of Republican blunders in foreign policy. It just warms my heart’s cackles to learn from you that your Right Wing buds were behind Clinton all the way from Bosnia to Kosovo even as they were trying to impeach the “sitting President”. Please take note of the number of American deaths that resulted from those wars and tell me if you were pleased with the results? After Bush’s blatant assault on the Constitution I won’t even comment on what you said while using the word “legerdemain” (This former “C” student had to look that one up in the dictionary).

On the subject of fair wages I suppose you also buy the Right Wing garbage regarding the redistribution of wealth that Conservatives accuses liberals of being in favor of. Republicans never talk about the actual redistribution that saw a ten fold plus, inflation adjusted increase in pay that CEO received from the sixties to present as most of the companies that they ran (excluding Oil Profiteers) and the common worker’s compensation saw decreases. These Corporate goons seem to gain greater benefits as they ruin American Companies at faster and faster rates. When you consider the fact that they are the only ones that had huge after inflation pay raises its no wonder that the actual taxes they paid increased slightly over the same period. I should feel such pain! Really!
Republicans are always accusing people of hating Bush. They constantly claim that those who say truthful things about George are Bush Bashers or media bias practitioners. For the record, I don’t hate Bush. I don’t hate idiots. I just don’t want them running (ruining) my country! Now when it comes to voter I.D. requirements I am all for them, especially if absentee voting is included in an eyes on verifying way. I know too many Republicans who vote multiple times by ordering absentee ballots for themselves, their invalid parents, their non-voting family members and/or acquaintances.

The thing that everyone must understand is the Republican mind is a simple mind that is most at ease when it can rely on tradition. New problems tend to befuddle them. Global warming is just such a problem. It’s complicated so they do what they always do when they don’t understand something. They blame it on some sort of natural cycle (the business cycle or the refinery shortage cycle). Who can understand natural cycles? We are mere leaves blowing in the wind with just as much wisdom. In the case of Global Warming it is “cyclical solar activity”. So when Republicans write about complicated issues they tend to get it all wrong. I don’t think anyone has claimed that CO2 levels in the lower atmosphere are not rising as fast as the models predicted. They do claim that we have seen lower levels of warming than what the models predicted. An interesting thing happened following the days after 911 when America grounded all of its airliners. There were no contrails in the air over North America and light meters registered higher levels of sunrays hitting the ground, which increased temperatures to the levels that the scientist predicted. When the planes returned to the air so to did the light and temperature levels, unrelated to “cyclical solar activity”. Could this be proof or should we stick our heads in the sand? Don’t even expect to here anything from Conservatives about the Deep Oceanic Conveyor Belts and what would happen to the millions of metric tons of natural methane hydrate deposits if the belts are shut down- Global Warming on steroids! Right Wingers are famous for being penny wise and billions foolish. The Bible speaks unfavorably of those who are ruinous of this earth. All of those liars and CEOs that Republicans worship don’t come off well either. Just remember these same Conservatives fought the clean air laws using the same cost arguments (They also all believed in WMDs).

Republican support of George Bush borders on religious zeal, science be darned, which brings us back to how Republicans get elected. They control the media. If it wasn’t clear before the firing of Dan Rather, the advent of FOX Views, Charlie Gibson, Tim Russert’s bias and the ABC movie it has to be clear now. When Republicans allow the radio jocks of Talk Radio to choose its leaders it should come as no surprise that chaos ensues. The fact that George W. Bush is president of the United States is proof that the Republican Party is broken. Merit did not put him there. Propaganda did! Don’t take my word for it, ask Bush why he invited the top radio jocks in for a little chitchat? He knows whose buttering his bread. Our public airways have been hijacked by lying Right-Wingers. Whenever I would bring this up as a caller to talk radio programs the host would lie and claim that Americans are too smart to be effected by talk radio babble and then they would hang up on me. Advertising is propaganda. If it didn’t work then Corporate America would not spend billions pushing their product and I wouldn’t be banned by several talk show hosts for telling the truth. There is not a single talk show host that can stand toe to toe with this former “C” student. Whenever the Republicans leave the realm of tradition they botch things up. That’s why they are always asking Democrats for their plan to fix things. When Clinton was in power he just got the job done. If a democrat had done the damage that Bush has done to this country Rick and I would be standing side by side saying the same things.

OCTOBER 5: A DAY OF PEACE, LOVE, AND MASS MASTURBATION

to: Marv

Well, I guess you told me but I’m not the one with poop for brains. And go wash your mouth out with soap. Children have access to this site. In peace I offer you a tic tac.

Now, back to the real world. I suppose the fact that the Republicans had Ms. Harris, the 7 to 2 Republican Supreme Court, the lap dog media, talk radio and Jeb Bush on their side had nothing to do with putting the most incompetent leader in our lifetime in the White House. Every recount put Al closer so the Court decided to let partisan election protocol overrule the peoples will, before the truth was revealed. They could have stood tall and ordered a final one standard recount to end the controversy. Instead they put their boy in. After the Dubya insertion was complete the media finally did a recount of the ballots (the ones that Republicans wanted destroyed). They counted the ballots 7 different ways, 6 using other State’s standards (including Texas). Al Gore won all six. The seventh count was the “Gore standard” that was found to be unconstitutional because it treated ballots differently just as the official count did. Bush won that fraudulent count and the unconstitutional official count (Bush standard?) as well. The Court ruled that time had run out. By law the theft was legit. That does not make it right. If the Democrats had done what the Republicans did you would be standing tall in an upright position saying the same thing that I am saying. I would be saying it to.
