9/11 TIN FOIL HATS ARE MELTING

The first time I heard one of the conspiracy theory "experts" speak in a tv interview, I thought it was a joke. But no, just a new level of Bush Derangement and the old hysteria that the government is so evil it is out to kill our own citizens for political points. It is sick. And don't forget the nutbag instructor in Wisconsin who is teaching a course in Islam history and devoting 2 weeks of instruction to his conspiracy beliefs. Yeah, I'd be a proud parent financing that course.

THE NARRATIVE IS THE THING

Excellent post, Rick. I blogged about the Fitzgerald debacle, too on my blog yesterday. Then to refute the newly outed source of the whole freak circus, the attorney representing the Wilsons says the lawsuit stands and still refuses to face reality. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

ASSASSINATING BUSH AND OTHER OCCASIONS FOR HUMOR

Poor taste is the least of it all. Inciting the already unbalanced moonbats is enough to make anyone worry. And the release date is 9/10. Nice. Who is a Brit to tell a story about how Americans would handle the assination of our president and the War on Terrorism? It blows my mind.

IT'S GOT TO GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER

I'm blogging today about an Iraqi, Abu Danny, who is a collegue of my husband's. He is here in Houston receiving some training from my husband, the engineer. He lives in Baghdad. He has some interesting things to say and you would be proud to call him friend.

IT'S ALL ABOUT EYEBALLS

We subscribe to the Houston Chronicle as we have no choice in the nation's 4th largest city. One newspaper. It's crap but all we have. The liberal bias is breathtaking on a regular basis, to the point that if both sides of a story are presented then I am pleasantly surprised. I find myself mostly skimming it for local interests. As a conservative I sure don't feel very welcome in Chronicle land. I'm a news junkie so I have on the cable news shows to keep up with what's going on during the day. Subscriptions are down at the Chronicle but the message is not being received.

AN UNSCHOLARLY, NON-LAWYERLY OPINION ON THE NSA DECISION

I'm not a lawyer, either and am occasionally brain dead as I am, after all, a mom to a 16 year old, but I truly believe this ruling will be overturned by the 6th circuit Court of Appeals. The opinion, as written, was criticized by legal minds all around and even, shockingly, by the Washington Post's editorial page. It was a petty, politically motivated opinion gleefully smacking the administration around from up on her liberal high horse.
I don't know what it will take for this country to pull together and act as Americans, not Republicans or Democrats. We are in seriously dangerous times and the squabbling only puts us in further danger.
I keep thinking the Bush derangement syndrome will be taken over by love of country and our way of life, but so far, not so much.

YOU WIN SOME, YOU LOSE SOME...YOU DIE SOME

My stomach turned when the news came through on the tv tube about the ruling this morning. Appeals are underway and the government has asked for a stay in the ruling while under appeal.
So much for the horror of data mining. Nice try by the haters, though.
Great post.

HOWARD DEAN IS A TWO-FACED LYING WEASEL

Bad Rick, bad. There you go putting out facts again. You know Howie doesn't have any interest in reality based speech. Not to mention he called Katherine Harris a crook and compared her to Stalin.

CARNIVAL OF THE CLUELESS: A REBIRTH

Yeah, I included the so called hunger strike of Sheehan in my blog this week. She wasn't my Fool of the Week, something I do on Fridays, though. She has been in the past. You know, touring Europe is stressful and she needs a little something to keep her going.
