SHOUTING DOWN THE OPPOSITION AT HEALTH CARE MEETINGS IS NOT THE ANSWER

Yelling is rude? Accepting bribes from big pharma Billy Tauzin, unions, and and the AMA lobbyists is downright criminal. Cutting off the private funding for the health care of the chronically ill with private insurance is beyond rude. Get used to the "rudeness" my guess is that it's going to get physically violent before this is all over. The thugs accepting corporate bribes certainly aren't in this for the philosophcial discourse the might have with their constituents.

Civil disobedience and angry crowds is an effective technique; it's brought down entire governments.

BLOGGER'S PC BETRAYS HIM

My husband, the computer geek extraordinaire, loves Alienware computers. He's on his second one as the main computer. He carries an IBM Thinkpad for work, though - he's an engineer. He has several laptops. He purchased my laptop for me as a surprise almost two years ago - it's an HP. Now he says maybe my next one will be a MAC, so, who knows.

A NEW AGE NOW BEGINS

Rick:
I could not agree more. I say the same today. I will never say Obama "isn't my President" as he did to McCain in a debate as he said, "John, YOUR President", etc. I will not behave as the Bush Deranged have since that day in 2000 when he was declared winner. I am an American above all else. I will not support most of his agenda but I will not sink to deranged levels.

I choose to be very involved at the local level and state level now to help cultivate candidates for the national stage. It is the only way for my party to survive.

SNOWBALL PICKS HER RUNNING MATE

I would like to suggest my cat, Oreo, as Secretary of Defense in Snowball's administration. He keeps our dog in line with a quick slap upside Max's head when it's necessary.

And, the Indiana vote? I have strong Indiana roots - both parents were Hoosiers - and they'll not go to a blue state this year. And, as someone who lived in Bloomington while Evan was in college at IU, there's all kinds of good stories of his college days.

TIM RUSSERT - A LION'S ROAR STILLED

I heard someone say on tv this evening that it was Russett's legal training that kept him so fair in interviews, despite his beginnings in Democrat politics.

He'll be missed, that's a fact.

MORE WHINING FROM OBAMA

Enjoyed the post, as usual, Rick. The blatant fawning will continue until November, especially after Hillary drops out. It'll be smooth sailing for Barack.

I'm putting your link on my next post. I was putting on together about the complaints of Fox and emails and this fits right in. I even have a new title for him, in line with the ones you mentioned at the top of the post!

Rock on.

HOWARD KURTZ IS A GOOSE

"Goose" is far too kind of an adjective, Rick.

OBAMA-REZKO AND MEDIA IGNORANCE OF "THE CHICAGO WAY"

I used your blog as a reference in my post yesterday on Obama and Rezko. So, the first commenter went right to the 'Clinton talking points' criticism. Shocking, I know!

Keep up the great info, Rick.

A SHORT BUT PITHY NOTE ON ACHIEVING THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 54

Happy Birthday!

My husband turned 60 last week. He feels your pain. You are 2 years ahead of me, so I guess I'm still a kid. You are absolutely correct about the freeing feeling of aging. It happened to me at 40. Not that I ever censored my thoughts too much to begin with, though.
