gracias rick, me thinks the Palin we saw through the Fu#@ed up monocles of the media and the McCain camp is not the real Palin. whether i am right or wrong, their actions are deplorable, always looking for the scapegoat, good god what year is it? friggin a man, the campaign itself is to blame, they screwed the pooch and then continued to poke the dead dog for months on end. good to see you are alive and well rick, keep it going.

and the wind is blowing hard these days... the election has been obama's to lose, contrary to popular media horsesh&$ mccain is no longer the so called incumbent it is obama, the media have been saying he 'is' the next president for a very long time now, yet magically there is still 1 in seven according to the latest AP that could still be 'persuaded', persuaded by what? rick you alight to the same conclusion, there are still many, way too many undecideds out there for less than 72 hours left. obama has not sealed the deal nor has his compatriot the MSM. this is not hope or change or not accepting reality, it is reality, how could you possibly not know who you are going to vote for? how? they have not said anything 'new' for two weeks. i am not politically savvy like you rick, but the incumbent is now obama, and anyone should be able to beat the republican candidate after bush... anyone to include snowball, it should be a runaway train by now, and it isn't... tricky tuesday is coming...
Lots of folks might be staring at that ballot for a long time on Tue trying to decide. We who follow this crap everyday forget that most people get only snippets of news and commentary - they tune out the rest. They like Obama but just aren't sure hence, McCain still has a shot - a small one but not impossible as I was thinking a few days ago.

you know, i was thinking (danger will rogers) back to stats class in grad school, why don't we look at the RCP, and eliminate the so called outliers in the RCP average. take away the two highs (8, 11)(why, because they do not repeat and they are outside the spread of the data, this is why we keep the two 3's), what do we get with the simple stats, so we count gallup's two poles as 50% as RCP does, and the spread is now more realistic at 4.8. well what the hell does that say? i know, i know the bradly effect doesn't exist, except of course, where it does exist. take W Pa and john murtha's opinion of us, well maybe he is right about W Pa, but alas it doesn't end there, W Pa is a lot like many other places in the USA, why does this matter? well, hmmm, i'll let y'all figure it out. mind you, i was at the palin funtion today in the heart of the erie liberal "darkness" and they were not letting more people in, fire hazard, too many people, she stayed on topic, national security and the economy, damn did she hit it out of the park, no mention of abortion or rezko, or ayer's or ... y'all have thrown your towels in, i will hold mine a bit longer, screw buckley and screw novak, something strange but good is happening... maybe we should say strange but 'mccain'

but seriously, you are going to sit it out, aren't ya? don't know if you can complain if you sit it out... pretty sure that is how it goes in almost every social circle, and please be serious with me/us, there is nothing mccain or palin could do to make you like them, you don't like him, and your disgust with palin, because she has some issues she believes in and holds to is evident, so to you they are not even the lesser of two evils. so be it, but at least go vote, if not just for your own well being and ours, we like to read your stuff rick, at least i do.

as for palin, i will see her tomorrow, twice, once on our campus and once at the convention center. interesting thing, erie, pa is dem country, and yet the line to get tickets to her tomorrow was around the block and down the street. swing me baby, swing me...

dios mio... no knockout, no love, yet the man is still standing... i counted him down and out so many times i can't remember, yet the man keeps getting back up... i guess i have to say save your pessimism for darker days (which of course you will reply with something smarmy) go for it... the absolutely amazing thing is that he is still standing, he isn't down by gorian or kerrian numbers, he has no friends on the right (foxnews was enamored with obama, why? he said nothing?, no friends on the left, media despises him because he running against a black man... yet he is still in it... does it say something about him? us? obama?

whatever, i threw the towel in again when the economy tanked, but for the love of pete, he is beating obama on all the day after polls even the aol poll. keep up the negativity or be positive, whatever, he is still there, and you didn't like him to begin with and you won't like him when this is over...
just admit that he is exceeding everyone's expectations by still being alive in this race. as for senate and congress GOP members, they are the reason this nation is jacked, we deserve what we get in the end, we put them there
