ILLINOIS GOVERNOR ARRESTED TRYING TO SELL OBAMA'S SENATE SEAT

Gentlemen,
Fitzgerald had to act before Blagojevich could actually sell the Senate seat. This would have been a true disaster. Imagine the effect on the confidence of Americans in their government if they knew that a Senate seat could be literally purchased. Not that it isn't already pretty low. Remember that the Democrat-controlled House and Senate were flirting with single digit approval ratings just prior to the election.

CHENEY, GONZALEZ, AND HAM SANDWICH INDICTED BY CLOWN

I'd vote to indict bologna for impersonating food. Not ham, though. Pork fat rules!

WRONG WAY OBAMA STRIKES AGAIN

Really? An ignoramus? Prove your statement, sir. I live in the People's Republic of Illinois. I know how The One came to be. That is something the MSM is studiously ignoring.

Michael Reynolds said,
"You gave up that argument when you nominated the mayor of Wasilla."
No, we did not for two reasons. One is that Palin is not running for President. Two is that we nominated the Governor of Alaska.
Tim said,
"Obama is a self-made man. McCain isn’t."
Obama was made by Emil Jones and Richard Daley. That fact, in and of itself, disqualifies him for President as far as I am concerned.

THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE'S SILLY SUGGESTION

R. Bruce Dolt(Dold), the editorial page editor, is a GFW of the first order. Therefore, this editorial is not too surprising. After Columbine, he pretty much laid the blame at the feet of the NRA.
If you read the VoxPop section of the online Trib and look at the comments on Brucie's editorial, you'll see that about 90% of the commenters rip him a new one-mostly very politely. Of those who agree with the editorial, about 90% are nothing more than drive-by trolls with no knowledge and nothing useful to add.
BTW, I get the impression you're from the area. Are you planning to attend the ISRA rally on the 11th?

THE NEXT OLYMPIC SPORT?

"If the Chinese keep this up, the games themselves will be in trouble as western nations contemplate a full boycott in response to the crackdown."
One can hope.

BASEBALL SPRINGS ETERNAL

"They do not play softball — either the 12” or 16” variety. This isn’t “Beer Ball” or some variation of a Saturday afternoon lark by drinking buddies. They play what we used to call “league” ball or “hardball.” And I can testify to the fact that they play for keeps — games come complete with brush back pitches, head first slides, and even the occasional bench clearing “rhubarb,” where the dignity and wisdom of age is replaced with the white hot emotion of competitive ballplayers."

Good for them!!

"Funny you should mention that. It used to be – before J-Schools became important – some of the greatest political reporters began as sports reporters. The reasons are pretty mundane. Sports reporters were used to writing about the “horserace” aspect of their sport which naturally appealed to a similar vein in politics. Also, hard news reporters weren’t very good at describing the action at a campaign stop – the crowd, the funny hats, the rousing speech. Also, most good sports reporters were adept at giving colorful descriptions of sports personalities. This also translated well to politics."

Very interesting observation.

GOP GAMING THE DEMOCRATS

Personally, I agree with Rick about Obama's being damaged goods. However, the longer the race goes on, the more likely it is that this will come out. If the race ends before the Dem convention, the MSM will ignore any revelations from the Rezko trial in its haste to canonize St. Barack---as the patron saint of Hopeitude and Changeyness no doubt.
