FOUNDING BROTHER

Thanks, Rick, for the insightful post and the additional links. Great stuff, as always. Certainly one of my favorite places to come for my regular fix of history. I still remember the outstanding Battle of Gettysburg posts you did a ways back. Without a doubt, you remain one of the best around.

NEW CABINET LEVEL DEPARTMENTS CONTEMPLATED BY DEMS

DEPARTMENT OF THINGS THAT WERE FORMERLY CONSIDERED SEXUAL PERVERSIONS

It was Oscar Wilde who said "Celibacy is the most unusual of the perversions"

US OUT OF THE UN! (YOU'RE KIDDING, RIGHT?)

I'll do you one better. How about UN out of the US? Can the US evict the UN like landlords evict their renters, or something along those lines? If it was possible I'd like to shove the whole shebang into the transporter and beam it into deep space. But that solution notwithstanding, is there any organization here in the US that has seriously researched what is needed to move the UN someplace more closely aligned to its global mission, whatever that is? Say Syria, or Vanuatu, or Kofi's own Ghana? Anyone knowledgeable about efforts being taken in this direction post here.

HOW MSNBC'S CRAIG CRAWFORD SAVED MY DAY

I think that Colorado Bob is really Keith Olbermann. Craig is one of his favorite guests and Media Matters is his repository for facts. Although in reality, the three are indistinguishable.

AMERICA'S "LOVE BATTLE"

Rick...

Simply marvelous. Don't have enough superlatives in my Thesaurus to tell you what a great job you did and how much I enjoyed it. Thanks so much for all your hard work.

WRITERS BLOW IT PART II

Rick, thanks for blogging this season - keep it up! It's great hearing other points of view on this great series.

As for the mole, I forgot her name - the one played by Aisha Tyler. She was dispatched fairly early, but I'm not so sure she was placed deep enough in ctu to have enough valuable info anyway.

With Jack, Tony, Palmer, and Michelle retired, I can see Jack going freelance while the other three give support from a distance. Someone's gotta pay that cell phone bill!

COWARDLY WRITERS RUIN FINALE

Not eggshells, broken lightbulb. And Burns was told he could walk if he only gave a name - so I assume he walked.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BROOKE?

Whatever got coded differently in her needs to be discovered before she dies and is lost forever. Yes its a nice story of family value, but she is a gift to the human race in more ways. It would be a great loss to not unlock that secret.

DoD CONNECTION CONFIRMED

On a trident the codes are locked away on a safe, out in the middle of now where. If they are intergal to the codes in the football, then it could take a long time to change them. IF the football codes are can be changed while leaving the remote codes in tact...? Hmmm
And aren't these launch codes? What good is a code book to a stolen nuke? I doubt you need a code book to reverse engr it enough to make it go bang.

But love the show .

BLOG WARS!

I read through it all on both sides of the Goldstein/Joyce brouhaha and I have to say, Kill 'em both and let God sort it out. Now the commenters are sinking every bit as low as the principals in this. Ace would have fared better if he had just ignored the entire thing and banished both of them until they decided they could behave. I'm not impressed with either one of them, no matter at this point who's right. They're both de-linked on my site until they grow up.
