"DEAR GREAT SATAN,..."

No Chris, Iranian moderates consist of those who understand that their only major source of money is oil and want to continue getting that oil money. Huffery about Israel and the Great Satan, intended for internal consumption, is not policy for Iranian moderates. Kind of like small government and compassionate conservatism is huffery to the Bush administration, not policy.

For once in my life, I agree with Pat Buchanan. On Hannity's radio show, he called President Ahamdinejad "a piss ant" that is "no threat to America." Amen, Pat. Iranian moderates will allow only so much poking the bear with a stick, then it will stop.

MAN, IT'S A BITCH SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER...EVEN WHEN YOU'RE NOT

"kender Said:

Ed, the fact that you cannot grasp that Rick is skewering Colbert for making such an ass of himself, unlike many others who are attacking him for what he said and not simply for the fact that his actions were in bad taste speaks volumes on the lack of comprehension on your part."

From Rick Moran's original post:
"Full Fledged Moonbattery is the only way to describe Colbert’s performance. All the canards were there; Iraq, WMD, the press as White House lap dogs(??), Bush the stupid, Bush the incompetent, Bush as Machiavelli (the stupidity of trying to show Bush as both dumb and evil genius lost on the clueless Colbert), as well as the usual jokes that liberals find funny about 9/11, religion, and ordinary Americans."

kender, would you like to try that again? Colbert's comments and content were attacked, see quote above. The fact remains that Mr. Moran started the post by saying "I disagree with those on the right who are skewering Stephen Colbert for his performance at the White House Correspondents dinner on Saturday night.", then skewered Colbert's perfomance on many grounds. I called the writing self-contradictory, and if can't see that fact, then you are truely blinded by your partisanship. I like Moran's writing, even when disagreeing greatly, and hope for more internal consistency that I often see. That was the point of my original comment.

"I disagree with those on the right who are skewering Stephen Colbert for his performance at the White House Correspondents dinner on Saturday night. Much of it was actually pretty funny."

This statement, followed by several paragraphs of skewering Stephen Colbert as a clueless moonbat. I realize self-contradiction is a stock-in-trade here, but it only demonstrates credibility to those readers who are to the right of Attila the Hun.

THIEVES IN THE NIGHT

I can't believe that we are seeing hard right wingers attacking THEIR Congress AND the free enterprise system. Tony, the point of big business has always been to make big money - where are your complaints about other industries picking the pockets of wage earners? Cars or energy, for example? Spin as you will, your conservative birds are coming home to roost right on your fiber optic lines. Enjoy.

CIA VS. THE WHITE HOUSE: TY COBB AIN'T NO BENCHWARMER

Sleazeballs is within the realm of acceptable commentary. So many accusations of criminal behavior are flying around that we devalue the term. Call 'em criminals if convicted. Calling 'em sleazeballs is subjective.

Amazing how I don't remember any of those "highest profile criminals in the Clinton Administration including cabinet officers, a White House staffer, and a former Senator" being convicted of a crime. Maybe it's more likely that, once again, Rick Moran is making baseless accusations.

Anybody want to put money Moran's ability to prove any of this?

When the Dems get subpeona power after November, there will be no move for impeachment but there will be hearings on a lot of things that have been hidden from sight over the last four years. Now if everything is as represented by the administration, than they have nothing to be worried about, but if some blatant law breaking is unearthed. Well then, it's a whole other game. Too bad Johnny Cochran's dead, Rumsfield and others may need him.

SHHHH...DON'T TELL THE MSM, BUT WE'RE WINNING THE WAR IN IRAQ

And the media killed the 85 people found in Baghdad today? Or maybe they died from paint fumes while opening a new school?

Reality has this strange way of popping neo-con pipedreams, doesn't it?
