busyboy, sorry, your comments do not change my mind but you are entitled to your opinions. I am not saying cuz they do it that is it O.K. for us to do it but if info is gained from what I consider NOT to be torture I am O.K. with it.

No, I do not think we randomly pick up anybody, most are let go when it is determined they can give no info are no a threat, but our left wing press never writes this info.

I am sorry, but I just don't consider waterboarding, loud music, sleep deprovation and a few other things torture. Just consider what is being done to us, slow sawing off of heads, can you even imagine the pain, and they think NOTHING of doing this.
I am not justifying torture but if they need to get info from a KNOWN terrorist that may have info on a terror plot or info or planted bombs that will blow our guys up in Iraq, I say go for it.
You all can gasp and call me callous but i'm sorry, thats how I feel and I'm tired of the coddling of these known terrorists.

It is obvious they don't like or respect our military. Not one of them had any good things to say and its scary to think one of em may be our next Commander in Chief, good Lord, help us all and deliver us from evil.

I'm sorry, I just can't get the picture of us SLOWLY getting our heads sawed off and GOd only knows what else has been done to our captives. I know most of you think we are BETTER than that but I, for one, don't have a problem with what I mentioned in my earlier post and I'm a pretty compassionate person.
I think certain forms of interrogation are fine, like water-boarding and sleep deprevation, loud music, ect. But pure torture. like they do to our guys only 50 times worse is not the American way. If it saves our soldiers or American lives from a terror plot I am all for some forms of interrogation. Sorry, I d not consider them torture compared to the horrendous things they do to us.

I used to be a mega supporter of the Iraq war but I have changed my mind due to the fact that the police and Iraq military are NOT standing up, after 5 years and I'm afraid they are not going to stand up as long as we havc our troops there watching their backs. They have no real incentive to do it themselves.

I say bring most of our guys home, leave some troops in outposts and let the Iraq police and military finally show us what they are made of. If they fall at least we did not abandom them and if you break if you fix it scenerio doesn't fly. We have been trying to fix this for 5+ years now.
I think the real problem here is Iran. Hold your horses, I'm not saying we need to go to war with Iran, we just need to figure out how we are going to handle them as they have been interfering in Iraq since day one.

Rick, its been awhile since I,ve have been to your site. I have been in major funk but am better now. The site is still great.!!!
Now, to the point. All these anti-war flicks are pathetic. The latest is the marine, I think marine, who got out after being injured and they have made an anti-war flick so he and they claim the many more can have a platform to speak, like they already don't have the FREEDOM to speak, but this one was put together by the nutcase phil donahoot so what can I say. I am so tired of blame America first and the complacency of the left. Not one worry do they have of terrorism, they just concentrate of what they call our BAD ECONOMY , which by the way does not effect me as I don't have a house and would not be stupid enough to make a bad loan.
Back to the point, I guarantee if you talked to the majority of our brave soldiers you'd get positive comments.Welcome back, dear friend. Look forward to your comments, as usual.
