IRAQ IS NOT LIKE VIET NAM EXCEPT WHEN IT IS

It's great to read quality writing and honest analysis, even when you disagree with the conclusions of the author. I'll have to stop by the nuthouse more often...

WHY I STILL LOVE THE POST AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

Hey, did you read the whole paper genius, or just the editorial?

If you read the front page, you also read the story on the leak which directly contradicts the 'facts' alleged in the editorial. The news story makes clear that Wilson was in fact right, in the opinion of the CIA, State intelligence, and the Jan report prepared for the pentagon. And Tenet said so in his mea culpa. And the news story also made clear that what Bush tried to leak through Libby was NOT true. Libby was lying to Miller about the NIE.

So, you have to choose. Are you really going to believe an unsigned editorial over a by-lined news stroy on the front page of the WaPo? Don't answer! I know the answer. You will believe whatever is necessary to prop up your limp, floundering, failed leader, the leaker in chief, the liar in cheif, (expletive deleted: ed)

A SMALL VICTORY FOR SANITY

But in evolution, where is the original life? evolutionary science, as I was taught in school, believes that life just sprang up out of nothing, too. The random collection of the exact sequence of amino acids and other gunk required to make a functioning single-cell organism that could survive a geographically chaotic environment. That's at least as hard to swallow as an 'intelligent designer,' no? Personally, it seems to me to be a combination of the two, that life was created and then allowed to follow natural laws. Both theories work fine but break down at opposite points - evolution has lots of evidence (internally, you understand) but no feasible origin, ID has (if you stay within the rules, once again) an origin but not a lot in the way of evidence. ??
