REID AND THE DEMS: COWARDLY, IMMORAL JELLYFISH

Reid is a proven liar [promising last Sept. a Dem victory would never result in funding cutbacks] and a p.o.s. personally, ethically, morally, and patriotically.

"Jellyfish" gives the notion of intelligence without a notochord. I'll grant this creepy little girlie-man a spinal column, but call him a snake in the grass. Although drifting with the currents and being poisonous does make this blue creep resemble the "Portuguese Man of Wars" that infest Florida beaches down here.

Whatever the trope, Reid is one nasty little specimen of generational decline.

A NON ENDING TO A NON STORY

The Sixty Minutes piece is as damning a bit of TV journalism as I've ever seen on the tube. The three students behaved in a far more rational way than I would have. They deserve a big payback and I'd love to see a rogue prosecutor thrown in the state pen with the general inmate population.

That's the punishment Nifong really deserves.

And a thundering silence continues on the 87 Duke tenured imbeciles who signed a petition calling for pitchforks and torches and a lynch-party.

Take Back the Night has demonstrated total cluelessness.

A white crooked pol whipping up black hatred to win an election [Nifong had been appointed and was waging his first election---I believe]---that's a bit different. And MSM legal mavens like Nancy Grace and Wendy Murphy shrieking on-air on the obvious guilt---the presumption of guilt by the drive-by media---the usual con-men like Sharpton chiming in---don't think that's normal. And we benighted folks in Florida think Lacrosse is a big sport, as do other folks on the Atlantic Coast, and Duke has about the best program in the country. The cancellation of Duke's season would be analogous to Notre Dame cancelling its football season would be to college football. A big deal to avid fans.

WHY PUBLIC TV FAILS THE PUBLIC

I posted on this. Worked once long ago for PBS and can avow that when we were asked to allow a five-minute rebuttal for a three-hour special on Arab culture on the Arabian peninsula by AIPAC, I became convinced that special interests drive CPB.

NANCY PELOSI, PEACEMAKER OR KLUTZ?

An afterthought. The reason Pelosi ditched Jane Harmon on the House Intell Cte was that Jane had fifty IQ points on the paisana gramma. Ditto her dislike of Steny Hoyer.

Pelosi likes Murtha so much cuz this Irish drunk [I's a recovering one!] is even dumber than she is, talking about stationing the Central Command troops offshore in Okinawa! Where the dementia-tremens afflicted Solon thought they would be welcome. Of course, the people of Okinawa have wanted US forces to leave for decades, but no one told military expert Murtha about that! Plus it's 5000 miles away, but the MSM wouldn't note such a stuck-on-stupid remark---their BDS is almost as big as Pelosi/Murtha.

Gresham's Law works overtime in the Dem caucus and the Dem leadership is truly in a race to the bottom.

Nancy Pelosi is a conniving idiot without brains, a serial eff-up with a lot of Italian chutzpah. Stick-insect boy-Assad is a corrupt liar and the thuggish murderer of Rafiq Hariri of Lebanon.

Plus the dodo from the City on the Bay misrepresents Israel's position. But no one except delusional agit-preppies take her seriously.

The Democrats are incapable of running a foreign policy and should be kept from the Oval Office. Jimmy Carter is the biggest proof of this, but Clinton ain't far behind, as Sandy Berger tried to cover up with his botched document destruction. Clinton has a lot to hide.

Delusional drivel is par for firedoglake, or smokin' biyotch fever swamp. How's Ned Lamont doin' as Senator from Connecticut?

THE TRIUMPH OF HATE OVER PRINCIPLE

War is Peace
Love is Hate
The Surreality-based universe of the ultra-left confuses its own political hallucinations with facts, and it's sort of like that Magic Theater in Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf, "For Madmen Only."

The Dems have conned the MSM into calling this bizarre concoction some sort of Pelosi-coup. Their cheering section in the electronic and dead-tree Upper Deck far from any action or influence continues its Orwellian Ministry of Truth activities.

The pliant morons on MSNBC & CNN call a pullback by the anti-war Dems an advance, and a moral defeat a "victory."

IN WHICH I FEEL IT NECESSARY TO BURNISH MY CONSERVATIVE BONA FIDES SO THAT THE MOUTH BREATHING, SCROTUM SCRATCHING NINCOMPOOPS UNDERSTAND WHAT MAKES A TRUE GENTLEMAN OF THE RIGHT

Coulter is a less obnoxious and hateful mirror on the right of ultra-left whack-jobs like Maher and Franken and those Huff'nPuff posters lamenting Cheney's survival of an assassination attempt.

She merely made a nasty ad-hominem slur, in an inappropriate forum for such silly self-promoting grandstanding. But she sells books, and is much smarter than Maher and Franken [or the near-illiterate Krugman, parenthetically], who can't sell their books, but have privileged platforms given by MSM lefties to peddle their hateful nonsense.

A slap on the wrist is appropriate for Coulter, but an investigation by the Secret Service should be in order for those publically inciting the murder of public officials over the airwaves or cable. Didn't Alec Baldwin call for assassinating Henry Hyde back in '98 during the Clinton Impeachment on SNL or somewhere? Somehow, the far-left haters are exempt for accountability purposes, since everyone knows they are busted flushes, ne'er-do-wells, and overdosers on everything except reality.

Actually, Baldwin has become funny on his NBC series with Tina Fey, but the rest are predictably hateful and boringly predictable.

IS IRAN'S KHAMENEI DEAD?

Rick is right that the Assembly of Experts popularly elected consisting of 86 religious scholars who determine the succession of the Supreme Leader. The Second of the three Advisory "boards" is an Expediency Council or Council for the Discernment of Expediency, an advisory and implementation board representing all major government factions.

My understanding is that Rafsanjani has recently been made chairman of The Expediency Council.

The Third "Board" is of course the Guardians' Council, which vets candidates for election and has become the Smoke-filled Room of Iranian politics.

My bet is on whomever Rafsanjani supports, as he is ascending in a levitation mode back to where he may be the Presidential candidate again in elections moved foreward recently to 2008 to coincide with parliamentary elections.
