BLOGS MISSING THE REAL STORY AS USUAL

Yes, but at the end of the day, You are as gullible and naive as Barack if your take-away is simply a fact-checking episode. Or that the systematic lying as practiced by the Left & its pilot-fish losers will eventually be outted.

Franklin Foer should go because of this Steven Glass follow-up, but exaggeration and hyperbole and concoctions are as prevalent as leaking classified information when it comes to the MSM & its leftist bias. Someone called the Beauchamp folderol "pre-traumatic stress disorder," and it went right into Foer's left-wing frontal-lobe circuitry without a single limbic fact-check. TNR rivals the New Yorker for its witless commentary & lack of fact-checking. Serial hack Hendrick Hertzberg mis-spelled "Saudia Arabia[sic]" and got away with it in TNY. Hertzberg e-mailed me to dispute an earlier factual mis-statement of his in TNY, then did the "Saudia Arabia" dodo-move.

Not in itself a big deal, but symbolic of how the Kool-Ade drinking nutroots who simply get it wrong as an entitlement of their Bolshevik heritage. Looks like hanging with the Kossacks at the McCormick Place has given you a slight dose of co-optation.

KOS: "WE ARE THE CENTER"

Yes, the nutroots are following the old ultra-left purging of heretics who wish to seek a centrist, i.e., winning, strategy. When the marginals take over a party, it's called a "movement," as when I was part of the Gene McCarthy "Movement" in 1968.

What invariably happens is that the mini-civil wars that arise within the Democrats [as I saw repeatedly across the country in '68 & at the Democratic Convention, when it finally erupted into violence] destroy the party's chances in the General Election.

Is history repeating itself?

GONZALEZ: CAN EVERYONE BE RIGHT?

Looks like we have what the whiners on the left call a "troll." Unlike the leftards, discourse is allowed on normal American bloggers' sites and jukebox.... is treated like an actual bona fides person in the marketplace of ideas. Try doing that on ThinkProgress or other sites ruled by hysterics of a non-masculine mindset.

But the substance of the Gonzalez case involves all sorts of intricate covert back-pages of top secret programs---so the Dems play politics and pull off another "process crime" show trial a la Scooter Libby. The Dems are perfecting this gotcha-game legal trickery to the point that they are tying up the government completely in investigation/prosecution and neglecting legislation. The American public will only be diverted from this circus-trial syndrome for a short time before again falling into accepting the liberal MSM shibboleths as virtually true.

The MSM/Hollyweird/academicide nexus has allies in the trial lawyer community which stand them in good stead in this purge-trial parody of democracy. But can the plurality of conservatives in the US body politic withstand the constant drumbeat & siren songs of a media that has pushed GWB into a corner? Can they separate the voodoo chants from actual skullduggery?

From the way that the Clinton history of "Johnnie Chung, Charlie Trie and the slew of illegal fundraising cases that the Clinton Justice Department, according to an Inspector General’s audit did not handle correctly? Ties to Chinese intelligence, money laundering at a Buddhist Temple, Commerce Department waivers in exchange for cash" were all covered over by a pliant media, the Dems have an advantage.

With houseboys like jukebox... et al digging endlessly & myriads of Waxman wannabes in Congress ready to slap subpoenas on the GWB agencies & departments, the Dems can do their damnedest to thwart a real marketplace of ideas by overloading the circuits with spurious snipe hunts.

Because when ideas are put forward, the Dems are definitely behind the curve.

AMERICA, THE HYSTERICAL

Liberals remind me of Jack Nicholson's comment on women: "Take a man, and remove reason and accountability." The libs have become a party of shrieking crones and girlie-men who disgrace themselves with unbridled emo and corrupt dishonesty, all while howling and finger-pointing at their opponents.

STOP OVERREACTING TO TERRORISTS?

The Brits have a very serious problem on their hands and the US has to learn in advance---something we should have learned before 9/11---that a certain percentage of any religious sect is intolerant and excessively zealous. In the case of Islam, this means suicidal atrocities which no other religion would commit, as Islam tends to be dominated by violent reactionaries in certain of its most fervent countries.

Of course, fakes and poseurs like Larry Johnson are somewhat like Michael Moore on Saudi Arabia or Al Gore on Global Warming---simply inaccurate, underqualified, and aggressively wrong!

I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF PARIS HILTON

The Sheriff is an avid Scientologist who has a history of pampering celebs—including giving Mel Gibson a uniform and special “Reserve” status—perhaps to pursue his “religion’s” Hollyweird agenda.

Whoever said Hollyweird is “a Sargasso of the Imagination” [Nathaniel West?] could not have foreseen how deep into the Tar Pits of the Soul this LA Basin of squalid hype and nepotism has oozed. Hilton is a symptom of a city gone terribly wrong.

MOTHER SHEEHAN, "GODDESS OF PEACE," ASCENDS TO HEAVEN

I think Cindy hit a number of what Gail Sheehy would call "passages" all at once, a failing marriage was crushed by her son's death and she then put her unsophisticated anti-war sentiments to run away from her own grief and pain. Sorry for the dimestore psych 101 take---she was quickly parasitized by the loathesome America-Last crowd and campus-based hate-America groups until she was posing with vicious fascists like Chavez.

One more walk on the wild side for the post-feminist post-sanity Left.

NEWT INCHES CLOSER TO THE PRECIPICE

Rudy has sucked all the oxygen from the Newt corner, although Gingrich does have ideas and energy and a claque of adoring fans. Chances slim to none, and slim is slouching toward the town limits.

FAREWELL AND ADIEU, TONY

Interesting that both French candidates used Blair as a positive example as the way they would steer their economic policies during the recent election. Blair speaks fluent French and even managed to get along with Chirac.

As for the USA, I can't remember how many Americans expressed to me that they would have preferred Blair to either Clinton or GWB as US President, in the best of all possible worlds---a sentiment my Brit friends can't seem to fathom.

ANDREW SULLIVAN FALLS FOR PRANK STORY

Judging from Time Mag's 100 Most Influential People in the World issue, Lambchop and the 24 fake website have a lot of competition in the satire department. Unless by some stretch of the imagination, Time was actually serious putting Rosie O'Doughnut and Tina Fey on its list.

Naw, that would be impossible!
